Naruto: This Genius is Somewhat Ordinary-Chapter 375
"Thank you, Hokage-sama," Kakashi said sincerely, awe still lingering in his voice.
Since the Fourth Shinobi World War began, he’d faced enemies far beyond anything in recorded history. To be honest, most of them had already exceeded what he believed humans could ever reach. More than once, Kakashi had thought that such power simply didn’t belong to people.
And yet, Fujimoto Tōma had beaten them.
That alone said everything.
Even if restoring Kakashi’s eyes had been effortless for Tōma, it was still a gift. And gifts carried weight.
Keeps getting busier, doesn’t it... Kakashi thought, letting out a quiet sigh.
"No problem," Tōma replied, giving him a brief look.
He wasn’t sure how far Kakashi would ultimately go, but even with both of Obito’s eyes, Kakashi still wasn’t at the level of his "final battle" self from the old timeline.
Back then, Kakashi hadn’t relied on his own strength alone. He’d been supported by Obito’s lingering Yin chakra, a Six Paths tier force that temporarily elevated him beyond his limits.
Without that external power, even dual Mangekyō wouldn’t immediately grant full-body Susanoo.
Six Paths power didn’t vanish just because the body died. Obito had proven that much. The Sage of Six Paths himself had done something even more absurd, passing his power across a millennium to Naruto and Sasuke.
Once someone stepped into the Six Paths realm, the rules changed.
And even now, Madara, Obito, and Tōma himself had barely scratched the surface of what that level truly meant.
To those below it, Six Paths beings might as well be gods.
After settling matters with Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi, Tōma walked over to Ino and smiled casually.
"Did I scare you?"
"I was fine," Ino replied, grinning. "But you nearly gave everyone else a heart attack."
"Good," Tōma nodded. As long as she was fine, nothing else mattered.
He hadn’t warned the others on purpose. Sasuke needed that push, and everything had unfolded exactly as expected. The clone’s defeat, the despair, the reactions—it was all part of the plan.
Hope meant nothing without despair to frame it.
For a brief moment, the Allied Forces had truly believed everything was lost. And now, here he was, pulling them back from the edge.
Cruel? Maybe.
Effective? Absolutely.
"Hey, hey," Shikamaru muttered from the side. "That was messed up. You almost broke me."
"You’re young," Tōma said mildly. "A little scare builds character."
Shikamaru opened his mouth, then closed it again, sighing. "Fine. You’re the Hokage."
"I’ll finish this quickly," Tōma said, turning back to Ino.
"I know," she replied without hesitation. Rising on her toes, she kissed his cheek, blushing faintly. "Go."
Tōma smiled.
He glanced around. Many shinobi were injured, some badly, even from residual shockwaves.
After a moment’s thought, he moved to an open area and placed one hand on the ground.
A sealing array spread beneath his feet.
"Summoning Jutsu."
Three massive presences appeared.
The Great Toad Sage.
The White Snake Sage.
And the Slug Sage, vast as a mountain.
None of them would be decisive in the coming fight, but they could shield the Allied Forces and keep everyone alive.
"So it’s reached this stage," the Toad Sage said slowly. "Then let me bear witness to the turning of the world."
"Please protect the army and handle medical support," Tōma said.
"Hmph. Reduced to a bodyguard?" the Snake Sage scoffed—then fell silent after sensing Tōma’s chakra. "Very well."
The Slug Sage said nothing. Her body immediately split apart, countless smaller slugs flowing across the battlefield to heal the wounded.
"...Is that the Slug Sage?" Tsunade asked, stunned.
"Yes, Lady Tsunade," Katsuyu replied gently.
Tsunade clicked her tongue. Even with all her students combined, she’d never summoned the Slug Sage in full. And Tōma had done it alone, effortlessly.
Nearby, Jiraiya stared, speechless.
"That brat... he’s gotten ridiculous."
"At least he’s safe," Fukasaku said with relief. "The Great Elder always said he was the hope of the Three Sacred Lands..."
Then the Toad Sage moved.
Far too nimbly.
Fukasaku and Shima exchanged looks.
So that old act was fake...
Orochimaru, meanwhile, was shaking with laughter.
"So even that was just a clone," he murmured, eyes blazing. "Perfect... truly perfect."
Tōma’s existence had opened a path Orochimaru had never dared to believe in. His ambition finally had a destination.
Licking his lips, Orochimaru decided it was time to disappear. Preferably in a way that made the world think he’d died in the war.
He glanced at Jiraiya and smiled.
"Looks like that boy didn’t die after all," Orochimaru sneered. "But he’ll fall again. Madara-sama will make sure of it."
Jiraiya exploded in rage.
Sage Mode flared as he charged, backed by Fukasaku and Shima.
Orochimaru’s exit was... energetic.
With the battlefield secured, Tōma turned and stepped toward Madara.
"Recovered?" he asked casually.
Madara should have been furious at the tone. Instead, he smiled.
"Of course. You know how absurd our regeneration is at this level."
So that was it. Tōma had waited deliberately, just as Madara would have done himself.
Madara’s eyes burned with excitement.
"Our regeneration isn’t comparable," Tōma replied lightly. "Yours comes from the Ten Tails. Mine... doesn’t."
He didn’t elaborate.
As long as his mind remained, his Yin and Yang chakra could restore almost anything. Lose the body entirely, and his path would end—but even then, he wouldn’t be helpless.
"I never imagined you’d reach this height," Madara admitted. "That clone alone shocked me."
"I surprised myself too," Tōma said thoughtfully. "Even if it was a special case."
A peak Kage-level body, guided by a Six Paths-level soul—it turned out to be a terrifying combination.
But it wasn’t repeatable.
Unless...
Tōma’s gaze flicked briefly to Madara.
If a Ten Tails were sealed into a clone...
He dismissed the thought. Naruto had promises to keep, and a Six Paths clone didn’t interest him anyway.
There were no rivals left.
Tōma stretched lazily.
Madara’s Limbo shadows reappeared—but this time, they were clear as day to Tōma’s senses.
"Enough talk," Madara laughed. "Sixth Hokage. Show me the power of your true self!"
Madara’s blood roared. His spirit burned brighter than ever.
"For all that effort," Tōma said, snapping his fingers, "you deserve a proper greeting."
Chakra thundered.
The sky darkened.
"Senjutsu: Lightning Release—Kirin."
