Naruto: I Have a Gravity Training Room-Chapter 448 - 446
"Teehee! I finally completed the full set of Six Paths tools. I'm the real Six Paths Tenten now!"
Tenten hugged the Kohaku no Jōhei (Amber Purifying Gourd) like she couldn't bear to let it go. She truly hadn't expected A to spring a surprise like this. When she'd asked him for it before—or tried to buy it—he'd refused every single time, insisting it was the village's treasure, not for gifting or selling.
But now he'd handed it over as a present.
"Heh. He's generous," Natsuki said.
He looked over the rest of the gifts. "Not just the Kohaku no Jōhei (Amber Purifying Gourd), either. Kumogakure's premium beef, plus a bunch of their new tech products. He really put thought into this."
It was probably the result of A thinking it through carefully and discussing it with Kumogakure's upper ranks—his goal, naturally, being to build goodwill with Natsuki, the strongest man alive.
Sure, the Kohaku no Jōhei (Amber Purifying Gourd) was a priceless treasure, and Kumogakure definitely didn't want to part with it. But now that the world was entering an era of major peace, it was different. And even if it weren't—if war were still on—Kumogakure could team up with the other great villages and still wouldn't be able to beat Konoha. In that case, whether they had the Kohaku no Jōhei (Amber Purifying Gourd) or not didn't really change anything.
So it was better to give it away.
Everyone knew Tenten had always wanted to collect the complete set of Six Paths tools. This gift was guaranteed to hit like a bomb.
It was practically a major favor—one that would make future negotiations a whole lot smoother.
Clearly, A and his people had read the situation correctly. Natsuki really would accept this favor… because—whoosh—Natsuki doted on his wife.
As he kept looking, he found an unexpected gift from Orochimaru: six new-model chakra batteries, along with a note explaining them.
Turns out the new chakra batteries, developed using material from the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path's severed legs, were a success. Just as predicted, each one had ten times the capacity of the old batteries—and extremely strong chakra compatibility.
Even more important: each battery used only a tiny amount of the leg material. The portion consumed was basically comparable to a microchip in the modern era.
That was terrifying.
Those legs were massive. Yet shaving off a fingernail-sized piece was enough to produce a brand-new battery. With the amount of material in those two legs, they could fully cover the battery demand of the Five Great Villages.
Of course, the leg material was too precious to be used exclusively for battery production.
So in the early stages, these new batteries would basically be reserved for jōnin first—ensuring elite combat power enjoyed a decisive chakra advantage.
As for everyone below jōnin, they could keep using the old batteries for now. They were still good enough.
The most critical point was compatibility. In the future, there'd be no worry about mismatched chakra making a battery unusable. They could even post missions to hire people to recharge them—saving users from the hassle of doing it themselves.
With a battery like this, Tenten's mood naturally shot through the roof again.
And Kakashi, too—no more fear of running dry. Even if Double Kamui still couldn't be spammed without thought, at the very least he could sustain a prolonged fight.
Tenten had barely put away the Kohaku no Jōhei (Amber Purifying Gourd) when she saw the new batteries and immediately beamed so hard she couldn't close her mouth.
"Hubby, you were totally right! Orochimaru is absolutely the greatest scientist in the ninja world. He's insane!"
"Of course," Natsuki said. "That's why I suggested we don't kill him. We should use him for what he's worth."
Natsuki had never intended to "redeem" Orochimaru. You couldn't—Orochimaru's crimes were too deep. And even now, he probably didn't feel an ounce of remorse, so they still had to stay on guard.
At the moment, Orochimaru was cooperating only because he feared the power of Natsuki's four Six Paths-level fighters—and because he was intensely curious about the Ōtsutsuki's power. He couldn't be trusted completely.
But he could be used.
As long as Orochimaru believed continued cooperation was the only way to gain new research breakthroughs, he wouldn't dare cause trouble.
They kept going through the gifts, and soon found one from Orochimaru's student, Anko: a set of premium dango.
Well… how to put it—if Anko was willing to give away her favorite dango, then her sincerity was definitely there. Nothing else to say about it.
The only question was whether Orochimaru and Anko, master and student, had truly reconciled yet.
Before they knew it, three days passed.
Early one morning, Natsuki had no choice but to head to the Hokage's office and begin his daily routine.
What he didn't expect was that Naruto was already there, sitting at his small desk studying administrative paperwork, while Minato patiently coached him from the side.
"Natsuki, you're here early," Minato said with a smile like a little sun—warm and bright.
"Natsuki… you're here," Naruto said, looking utterly deflated. Clearly, digging through this paperwork had murdered countless brain cells. With his "I'm terrible at studying" skill set, this really was torture for him.
Natsuki laughed. "Starting to understand why I don't want to be Hokage?"
Naruto nodded rapidly. "I get it! I totally get it! I had no idea being Hokage was this much of a pain. I thought the Hokage just stands at the front whenever the village or friends are in danger and protects everything… I didn't think there'd be this much stuff to do."
Natsuki shrugged. "Then all I can say is you misunderstood from the start. You didn't even know what it was, but you screamed about wanting to be Hokage all day. Honestly, I'm impressed…"
He continued, "Your real dream is getting everyone to acknowledge you, right? But with your strength and contributions—and the fact you're the Fourth's son—everyone already acknowledges you. So it wouldn't matter if you didn't become Hokage, would it?"
"No!" Naruto's face snapped serious. "I'm definitely going to be Hokage! I keep my word—that's my Uzumaki Naruto-style ninja way, dattebayo!"
He wasn't joking.
Even after learning how painful administrative work was, he still wanted to do it. The current Naruto was no longer the old dead-last. He'd truly grown—reliable, steady, the real deal.
Natsuki could only give him a thumbs-up. "Then keep it up!"
Seriously—sometimes, if you don't understand something, don't shout about it blindly. Like how some people yell they'll be Pirate King for twenty years, then it turns out their dream isn't even actually being Pirate King—it's the kind of thing people roast forever.
Not long after, Tsunade, Hashirama, Tobirama, Jiraiya, and Kakashi all arrived as well.
They handled the day's paperwork first, and then started a small meeting.
Tsunade said, "After a month, the proposal for the Grand Alliance has been conveyed to the leaders and daimyō of every country. They've probably already discussed it. Before long, the alliance induction ceremony will be held in the Land of Iron. We still need to work with the other great villages to finalize the concrete articles and rules."
"That won't be a problem," Tobirama said easily. "I've been using Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God) to travel to each village for negotiations. Drafting the articles has been going smoothly. We just need to confirm everything again at the induction ceremony, and if anyone has concerns, we can discuss revisions then."
Hashirama looked pleased. "Seems like everyone's really motivated. Everyone's longing for peace!"
Kakashi smiled. "Because everyone knows there's an outside enemy coming that wants to destroy the ninja world. No one wants war at a time like this. The little bit of profit you can loot in war isn't worth mentioning compared to total annihilation."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
But nobody looked happy. Their expressions were heavy, solemn.
The Ōtsutsuki clan posed too great a threat—to the ninja world, and to all living planets in the universe. Whether the ninja world could truly stand against them… that was still unknown.
Even with Natsuki's four Six Paths-level fighters, who could guarantee the other Ōtsutsuki wouldn't be even stronger?
When that time came… could Natsuki and the others really win?
