Tobirama was furious.
He never expected that after a lifetime of hunting wild geese, he'd end up being pecked blind by one of his own.
He had always prided himself on his wisdom, yet he had failed to see the wild ambitions hidden within his own disciple's heart.
Fortunately, the situation had not yet escalated beyond repair.
To prevent those despicable individuals from using this opportunity to tarnish the clan's reputation, he had to put an end to the enemy before him—today, and without fail.
Only by doing so could he demonstrate their stance to all of Konoha.
The Senju would forever remain the Senju of the Hidden Leaf.
This was the lifelong vow of his elder brother, and no matter what, Tobirama would see it through.
Flying Thunder God Slash!
Meanwhile, Masaki remained in a constant state of confusion throughout the entire battle.
If it hadn't been for the conversation he'd overheard, he would've thought he had fallen victim to a trap laid by that damned Uchiha Kagami.
"I actually believed you were someone capable of achieving great things..."
Thanks to the powerful sensory abilities granted by Sage Mode, Masaki effortlessly evaded the enemy's sneak attack.
He didn't linger in combat with Tobirama. Instead, he manipulated the natural energy around him to form a staircase of pure chakra and "ran" frantically upward into the sky.
Even facing just one Hyūga like Yayoi was daunting enough, let alone the prospect of being hunted down by the entire village.
If it were so easy to take over, why would the Shinobi Sect have needed to enlist the support of several other nations?
No, this wasn't the time to fight—it was time to run.
"Trying to escape?"
"You think Konoha is a place you can just come and go as you please?!"
Water Release: Water Colliding Wave!
With hands clasped together, Tobirama summoned forth a torrent from thin air—a rising, swirling column of water, spinning like a cyclone as it ascended toward the heavens.
Then his hand seals changed once more, and from within the towering surge burst forth countless dragons, each one roaring and writhing as they surged toward the fleeing enemy.
Water Release: Hundred Water Dragon Fangs!
A dry chuckle escaped from a few of the onlooking Uchiha. Their brows lifted with interest, and their gazes grew teasing as they watched the so-called Copy Ninja, Senju Tobirama.
Not only had he replicated the Flying Thunder God and Shadow Clone techniques, but now he was even using the standard Water Style jutsu commonly employed by Lord Kyōsuke.
If he liked them so much, maybe he should just marry into the Uchiha already.
Tobirama ignored the strange looks around him. He raised his arm and hurled dozens of Flying Thunder God kunai into the sky. In an instant, his body vanished, flickering between them and reappearing behind his target.
A highly compressed lance of water formed in his hand as he thrust it forward with deadly precision.
Water Release: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade!
Masaki was struck down. Even with perfect control over Sage Mode, he couldn't easily escape from Tobirama's relentless pursuit.
Whether it was copying or outright replication, Tobirama possessed a myriad of techniques. If one failed, he would simply switch to another. Eventually, something would succeed.
And indeed, before Masaki could even regain his footing, a pale blue stream of water surged down from above like a falling galaxy.
Water Release: Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave!
As he twisted midair, Masaki seemed to catch a glimpse of several coffins drifting within the massive flow of water.
"You... you are...?!"
Shock gripped his heart.
Over the years, many envoys of the Shinobi Sect had perished in battle.
That was a natural occurrence in their line of work. But never did he expect that he would reunite with his fallen comrades so soon—and under such circumstances.
"The forbidden jutsu said to bring back the dead... so it was true after all," Masaki muttered through clenched teeth, fighting back disbelief. "Just as the rumors say, the Senju are hiding a darkness far deeper than the world knows."
He struggled upward once again, trying to escape into the sky.
But Tobirama, with his absolute control over the water's flow, had crafted a prison from which no amount of speed could grant escape.
No matter how much Masaki tried to flee, the swirling aquatic cage responded instantly, tightening around him with each desperate movement.
After a prolonged chase, he remained trapped. Worse yet, he was now being pursued by several familiar Edo Tensei corpses—those of comrades he once fought beside.
Realizing there was no escape, he had no choice but to turn back and engage in combat.
The Great Exploding Water Colliding Wave confined him. The Edo Tensei, undeterred by death, rushed him with unrelenting aggression. Their bodies were covered in explosive tags, all carefully prepared by Tobirama.
If he lost focus for even a moment, he'd be caught in a web of mutually amplifying explosions.
Those little slips of paper may look harmless, but once the number crossed a critical threshold, even the protective power of Truth-Seeking Orbs could be torn apart. Sage-level barriers didn't stand a chance.
From a distance, Uchiha Kochou closed her Sharingan.
She knew now with certainty—the enemy wouldn't be leaving alive today.
But what truly caught her interest wasn't the enormous sphere of water still surging in the distance. It was the young Senju boy beside her, his fists tightly clenched.
If she remembered correctly, this boy was the one designated as their key target.
As Nawaki stared at the scarred and battered land before him, his fists trembled, and he asked in a low, somber voice:
"Teacher... why is it that our clan always ends up harming the village?"
"Sigh... it's all because of power," the elite instructor from the Ninja Academy replied, his tone filled with quiet gravity. "Nawaki, whatever happens, never reveal your thoughts in front of your family."
"I know. You've reminded me many times before." Nawaki nodded. Yet, his eyes still held a burning dissatisfaction. "We already control the Konoha Military Police. Calling our power overwhelming is not an exaggeration."
What he wanted to ask—but couldn't bring himself to say—was this:
Since they already stood just beneath the Hokage himself in terms of authority, why must the clan still oppose the Hokage faction?
Didn't they know how the outside world now viewed the Senju?
"I vaguely recall that the Senju were once hailed as symbols of love and peace," the teacher murmured, a rare note of emotion entering his voice.
"Symbols of peace..." Nawaki lowered his head, trying his best to hide the mockery flickering in his gaze.
He was no longer a child. There were many things he understood all too well now.
Back when his grandfather was still alive, the Senju were truly respected. Their prestige rivaled any other clan in the village.
But ever since his granduncle took over, things had subtly but steadily changed.
Everywhere Nawaki looked, he saw prideful, unruly clansmen. It was as if everyone believed that in the entire Hidden Leaf, no one dared challenge them.
Nawaki didn't know what had caused such a transformation. He only knew one thing—he wanted to change this clan.
He wanted to become a great ninja, one like his grandfather had been.
He gazed at his granduncle, still immersed in the heat of battle. A strange and brilliant light shimmered in Nawaki's eyes.
And beside him, his teacher noticed everything.
Feigning a casual glance, he raised his head and exchanged a discreet signal with Uchiha Kochou. Their communication was so subtle that no one else noticed.
To think that Tobirama would go as far as hiring a private tutor from the academy... Truly, there were moments when even someone as cautious as him could be incredibly naïve.
Of course, this successful infiltration would not have been possible without the efforts of the Number One Secret Shinobi.
Gaining Tobirama's trust was no easy feat. That was why it had to be the Number One Secret Shinobi himself who carried out the mission.
As the ninja responsible for intelligence and espionage, there was no one in the village more adept at infiltration and subterfuge than him.
"It seems the day of executing the Night of Genocide is drawing near."
Under the subtle guidance of the Number One Secret Shinobi, Nawaki had long since grown disillusioned with his own clan.
In his heart, he believed that the Hidden Leaf Village was the true vessel of hope, the Noah's Ark that carried the future. No matter who it was—even his own kin—if they threatened that hope, they could not be allowed to act unchecked.
The problem was that, without anyone noticing, the Senju had already become the greatest source of instability within the village.
Everything the clan had done, Nawaki had seen. And if there was ever something he missed, the Number One Secret Shinobi would quietly bring it to his attention.
The outcome of this constant observation was clear from the conversation they had just shared.
"Sensei."
After a long silence with his head lowered, Nawaki finally looked up again, his gaze now filled with unwavering determination. "I want to change the entire clan. I can't just stand by and watch the village be destroyed by him."
He didn't name him, but between the teacher and his student, no further clarification was necessary.
The man's smile remained unchanged. He simply gave a gentle nod and said, "Do not worry. Whatever your decision may be, your teacher will always support you."
"Sensei..." Nawaki's heart was filled with emotion.
His dream had always been to become Hokage—a figure as great as Lord Kyōsuke, the First Hokage.
His sister had also once told him she would support him with all her strength. Unfortunately, he had never been able to bring Tsunade over to his side.
"I am the only one who can change the clan."
In that moment, the young man felt as though he was born for this very mission.
He, Senju Nawaki, was destined to change the course of his clan's future.
"Wherever the leaves dance, the fire of the Will of Fire shall burn eternally." The beliefs of the First Hokage continued to influence him deeply at every turn.
Admiration is often the emotion most distant from true understanding.

Hidden Leaf Village, residence of the First Hokage.
"Grandpa~" A chubby little girl was sweetly acting spoiled, her voice soft and cloying.
She had snuck into her grandfather's courtyard, hoping to convince him to take her out to play.
But before she even had a chance to speak, her attention was caught by two curious objects on the table.
One was a fish basket that glowed faintly red, and beside it lay a fishing rod of matching design.
What fascinated her even more was how, when held, they could change size automatically to suit the user's body—making them perfect for someone petite like Uchiha Kaoru.
Unable to resist the temptation, the excited little one immediately began begging her grandfather for them.
Seeing how much his granddaughter liked the two ninja tools that had once belonged to Urashiki, Kyōsuke burst into hearty laughter. In exchange for a sweet little kiss on the cheek, he gifted them to her without a moment's hesitation.
As for their true value...

Even Yayoi admitted she currently lacked the capability to analyze them.
Ōtsutsuki technology was sophisticated beyond imagination. Their methods were so unconventional that without research materials or references, she couldn't even begin to comprehend them—let alone replicate them.
But Kyōsuke didn't mind in the least.
For now, the primary focus of research remained on biotechnology.
While ninja tools were excellent enhancements, they were ultimately just ornamental compared to what he truly desired.
What he truly wanted was to equip Yayoi with the ability to create saplings of the Divine Tree.
Only when they could mass-produce juvenile Ten-Tails creatures would the shinobi world have the power to confront the Ōtsutsuki head-on.
Until then, they could only remain on the defensive.
Fortunately, interstellar travel was a long and slow process, and the Leaf Village still had plenty of time to prepare.
With Yayoi's formidable scientific talent, it was only a matter of time before the Ten-Tails could be successfully replicated.
Once they reached that point, and every individual could be paired with one, they could be dispatched across alien worlds to gather chakra.
It would not be long before the shinobi world gave rise to a new generation of powerful warriors capable of igniting the divine flame within them.
He knew full well that he alone could not possibly defeat the Ōtsutsuki. Even if his individual strength was enough, remaining forever on the defensive was never a viable solution.
The best path forward was to cultivate a legion of ninja who had achieved the Divine Flame level.
Madara, Hashirama, Kochou, Yayoi, Izuna, Haruto—the list of names went on.
And not just them. Future generations of talented shinobi could also be included in this plan.
Without special bloodlines they might not be able to awaken various dōjutsu and abilities.
Even if they lack the blessings of unique bloodlines, even if they are unable to awaken those strange ocular powers or mysterious abilities, the fact that they can ignite the Divine Flame proves one thing — they possess the potential to harm the Ōtsutsuki.
Once their attacks could land true, finding a way to kill the enemy would become a matter of strategy and execution.
As he watched the little girl wave her fishing rod enthusiastically, Kyōsuke's expression softened, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
His tireless efforts had not been in vain.
He was, of course, well aware of the chaos taking place outside the village—the turmoil stirred up by the Shinobi Sect once again.
But such minor disturbances could be left for the younger generation to handle. Rather than wasting energy on them, it was far better to spend that time with his family.
Hmm?
Suddenly, as if sensing something, Kyōsuke's gaze sharpened and locked onto the center of his granddaughter's palm.
