Narika: The Ghost Bride-Chapter 206 - Two Hundred And Six:Please Don’t Hurt Him.
The rage that surged through Narika hearing him, mock Adrik and tell her about coming home. Where is home? With him? He must be the stupidest person alive to believe that that hellhound, that had created a lot of bad memories for everyone would turn out to be a home for her and her baby.
She knew how strong Lucifer was, but she would rather die protecting her baby than to let him force her down there with him just like he had done with Adrik, and Jason’s wife, Marilyn.
She hissed at him, hearing his words ignited something deep inside of her that crave to spill blood, but for the sake of her baby who she didn’t have any idea how to go about running away with right now, to avoid his evil grandpa to take him a prisoner just like he had did with his father.
"Don’t touch my son." Her silver eyes glared at him, and for the first time he did listen to her but that was to laugh at her, to tease her about her inability to do anything to escape her. But that little freedom was short-lived, when he appeared at her back and grabbed her by her hair.
"You don’t get to talk to me like that, little witch. If anything, I would watch my words carefully if you still want that child to realize who his mother is."
The moment Lucifer was done threatening her, a loud wail escaped her lips when she freezed in the air just like Jason was, and he scooped her child into his own arms as if he belonged to him.
"Give him back, don’t you dare do anything to him. I swear, I would kill you if you touch a strand of his hair." Narika threatened, but he was busy checking the little boy out by touching his temple, his heart and his stomach for some reason unknown to his mother who tried her best to escape his hold.
Lucifer looked up to her with a proud smile on his face, after checking out the strength and everything important of her little child. He could come to the conclusion that Adrik wasn’t that weak like he noticed him out to be, and for the first time, he had done something worthy for him to be called his son.
"Got a name yet?" He asked her.
"It’s none of your goddamn business! Give me my child." She cried, not liking the way he took the little boy by one of his legs,he was upside down and seeing him from that angle irrespective of him being a demon, it still didn’t matter because he’s a child. He could get hurt from what Lucifer is doing.
Heck!
She had just given birth and none of her parents had been able to see her child, especially her dad and grandfather who had been one big supporter in this journey of hers. They all were still passed out, including Naomi. She didn’t know what had gone through her, but finding out about Adrik after months of stressing her brain, and realizing that all of them lied to her, made her snap.
It made her yearn to hurt them, just the way they did to her, but at this point of time when she didn’t know when else her parents would be able to see her, and her baby. It’s obvious Lucifer isn’t kidding when he said that it’s time to go, she knew that this time she wouldn’t be able to come back here, to earth.
But all of that could be avoided, if only Adrik was here." What did you do to him?" She asked him, as he sighed before renouncing whatever spell he cast on her, since he didn’t want to hurt her. She was still useful to him and to the child especially.
The both still have a ritual to do, to cleanse her child and to also welcome him to hell. Everyone is waiting for him, and now that he has arrived. Lucifer aimed not to do anything that would hurt both mother and child.
Narika rushed and took her child from him, checking his body more carefully to see of he’s hurt. But when the little child smiled at her, she calmed, before glaring back at his grandfather.
"Look,I’m not here to hurt you or the child, you both are valuable assets to hell..."
"But you hurt Adrik!" She reminded him, her eyes switching from him to see the hot beads of sweat that were running down Jason’s face, so much for trying to hurt her and her baby. She could have had a change of heart, and ask Lucifer to release him, but she didn’t know how far he’s willing to go for his wife, Marilyn. He might succeed in shooting her if she did that.
"To reset his brain, you humans are weak creatures and you have turned my boy into a lovesick puppy, that rendered him useless to the cause he was born for." Lucifer snapped, his red eyes coming out this time in an approach to scare her but she didn’t bulge one bit.
"Yes, says the one who kidnapped someone’s wife." Narika blurted out, she didn’t know when the words fell out of her lips but she could swear she saw something shine in his eyes hearing her words.
Regret?
She didn’t know but it was gone as soon as she saw that, and before she knew it, he appeared before Jason, and yanked him up while the man wiggled in his hold like some earthworm that was poured salt.
"This fool here needs to accept the truth, Marilyn would never choose a pathetic man like him over me."
"But you forced her to come with you, that’s not something good. You can’t keep on locking up people like some slave, and you are clearly going to release Adrik from wherever you lock him up too. He needs to know about his child." She ordered, making Lucifer scoff at her words.
"And who’s going to force me to do any of that? You?"
"Yes! Me, look I don’t care in what aspect everyone at hell takes you but i won’t let you treat me like some trash. You need me, but if you are going to hurt me, then might as well disappear with my son." Her voice was a little shaky this time around, as she came closer to Lucifer, while using the distraction to take the gun lying on the table and hide it behind her.
"We both know doing that would put the both of you in danger, look at Narika. He’s clearly not human, and how do you expect the likes of him..." Lucifer said, smacking Jason at the back of his head, before continuing his speech." Not to kill him at first sight. Everyone would know that he’s not of this world, all you need to do is to accept your faith, and everyone goes free." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
His words left her speechless, because she could see some truth in what she was saying. She hasn’t even named her child yet, nor breastfeed him. Gosh! Does he even take breast milk?
Her child is different, and leaving him here on earth where the scrutinizing eyes of the public, might one day catch him, would alert the government into this, and she didn’t want anyone to take him away from her.
She doesn’t know if her own mother will be able to look her in the eyes, once she sees the creature in her eyes. She was brought out of her thinking, when she felt something growing on her son’s back, the sudden wail that left his lips at her turning his back to see that he’s growing some wings made her come to terms with what’s more important here.
"So, what is it going to be, sweetheart? Your baby or the lives of these pathetic humans." Lucifer said, look at the rest of the others that were still unconscious on the floor.
"The pathetic humans are my family and friends, something you don’t have!" She seethed, her words hurt him deeply that before she knew it he sent a blow right at Jason’s face that pushed him to the floor.
"Noo!!" She shouted, but then he ignored her words before grabbing Jason up.
"You choose this weak mortal, he tried to kill you and your child, Narika. Why cry on his behalf?" Lucifer asked, not understanding humans and their sentimental minds.
"Well, that’s something called human empathy, something you wouldn’t ever have." Narika said, before shooting three times at his chest, Jason was released as he staggered back waiting for the wound to heal.
"Run!" She shouted at Jason, while she dashed for the door too, but freezed on the spot all thanks to Lucifer’s doing, then turned to see him holding Hendrix up with the gun pointed to his head while he choose this time to regain consciousness.
"Please, let him go. It’s me you want, don’t hurt him."
