Mystic Calling:Stone of Glory-Chapter 465: You guessed it
Chapter 465: You guessed it
What, was he supposed to go himself?
Sure, it wasn’t like he couldn’t—but what if even with him and Seraphina both, they still couldn’t take down Malenthia?
That would mean the whole plan would fall apart.
Just as Ethan was caught in that spiral of doubt, Elynn suddenly spoke up.
"My Lord, actually... there are still two forces within Emerald Castle we can call upon."
"Two?" Ethan blinked, surprised. "Which ones?"
"Prince Kaiin and his Ebonite Colossus legion," Elynn answered without hesitation. "There are 300 of them, all 13-Tier Legendary Units. A formidable force. And the other is... well, do you remember Isaryne?"
"Isaryne?" Ethan paused, then blurted out, "You’re not seriously suggesting we bring her in to help us attack Malenthia, are you? Elynn, is that even possible?"
"My Lord, you may not know this, but Seraphina and Isaryne actually get along quite well. If we send Seraphina to ask her, she’ll likely agree. And honestly, this is a huge opportunity for her too."
"Anyone who wants to grow stronger has to fight."
"And a war like this—one that might even take down a Dungeon King—is rare, even for a Crimson Ultimate Hero like Isaryne. She won’t be able to resist that kind of challenge."
Ethan raised an eyebrow. "You think so?"
It was a question, but deep down, he already agreed with her logic.
She was right.
If you want to get stronger, you have to fight.
And the chance to go up against a King-tier enemy? That kind of experience was pure gold. Isaryne would be crazy not to take it.
With that thought, Ethan made his decision.
"Alright, it’s settled."
"We’ll go in with 100 Ancient Behemoths, 300 Behemoths, 500 Green Dragons, 300 Ebonite Colossi... plus Seraphina, Kaiin, Orryn, Balthazar, and Lilith."
"That’ll be our strike force."
As soon as he said it, Elynn nodded without hesitation. "Understood, my Lord. I’ll begin preparations immediately."
...
Two days later—
Ethan led the strike team out of Emerald Castle under the cover of secrecy, heading straight into Dungeon territory.
"Are we going in now? Are we attacking right away?" Seraphina asked the moment they crossed into enemy lands, her wings flaring with excitement. "I’ve been dying to tear something apart! Don’t worry, no matter how strong they are, I’ll shred them with my claws and crush them beneath my feet!"
Ever since her Primordial Force enhancement at the Divine Colosseum, Seraphina’s confidence had skyrocketed. She was practically radiating battle-lust.
At this point, she acted like there wasn’t a single enemy in the world she couldn’t take on. Even if a King-tier powerhouse showed up, she’d probably charge in without hesitation.
That level of confidence was... something.
Ethan couldn’t help but let out a helpless chuckle.
Confidence was good.
Overconfidence? Not so much.
"Alright, alright, tone it down a bit," Ethan said, giving her a light pat on the shoulder. His eyes gleamed with thought. "This fight’s not something we can win on our own. We’re going to need a little help."
"Help? From who?" Seraphina asked, tilting her head, genuinely curious.
"Isaryne," Ethan said with a grin.
The moment the name left his lips, Seraphina froze. Her expression shifted—first blank, then... a little awkward.
"Wait, seriously? You want her to help us?" she asked, her voice suddenly a lot more cautious. "I mean... last time we fought, I kinda... beat the crap out of her. You think she’s not still holding a grudge?"
Ethan smirked. "Well, if she says no... I’ll just punish you instead."
"Ugh..." Seraphina groaned, her whole face scrunching up like she’d just bitten into a lemon.
She looked absolutely miserable.
Go talk to her? And what if she says no?
"Let’s go. We’ll see how it plays out," Ethan said with a chuckle, shaking his head. Without wasting time, he led the group toward the Phoenix Tribe’s Creature Dwelling—Isaryne’s domain.
They made the trip in less than half a day.
As soon as they arrived, Isaryne, the Firebird Hero, spotted them and immediately looked annoyed.
"The Lord of Emerald Castle... and you again? Seriously?" she said, her tone full of irritation. "Didn’t I already help you last time? What now? You back to bother me again?"
"Hey! What kind of attitude is that?!" Seraphina snapped, instantly flaring up. "You better watch how you talk to my Lord, or I’ll beat your feathers off! Don’t get cocky, Isaryne!"
"Beat me? You?" Isaryne shot back, trying to sound tough—but her eyes flicked away, and her voice dropped just a little.
Yeah, she was bluffing. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm
Last time, Seraphina had wrecked her. No way she’d forgotten that.
She might talk big, but deep down? She was definitely still a little scared.
Ethan couldn’t help but laugh at the scene.
Now he understood what Elynn meant when she said Seraphina and Isaryne had a "good relationship."
There were all kinds of ways to be close.
And in their case? It was the kind of bond forged through fists.
The harder they fought, the closer they got.
Classic.
"Isaryne, we’re here because we need your help," Ethan said, finally putting on a more serious expression.
Isaryne blinked, caught off guard by the sudden shift in tone. She glanced at Ethan’s face, saw the gravity there, and hesitated. Then she muttered under her breath, "You guys are seriously annoying... always showing up like we’re best friends or something..."
Seraphina immediately bristled again. "Cut the crap. Yes or no—are you helping or not? Say no and I’ll knock your beak off!"
"What are you so loud for? You think I’m scared of you? Fine, hit me then..." Isaryne huffed, trying to sound defiant—but her voice got quieter with every word.
Totally bluffing again.
Ethan sighed, half amused, half exasperated. "Seraphina, ease up, will you?"
"Hmph." Seraphina crossed her arms and glared daggers at Isaryne but finally shut her mouth.
Isaryne shot her a glare right back, then turned to Ethan and asked, "Alright, respected Lord... what exactly do you need from me? You’ve already brought a whole damn army. Balthazar, Kaiin, Orryn, Behemoths, Green Dragons, Ebonite Colossi... You seriously need more? Don’t tell me you’re planning to take on a Dungeon King or something—"
She trailed off, eyes narrowing.
She’d noticed the lineup the moment they arrived. So many high-tier units, so many Crimson Ultimate Heroes and Ace Units... Honestly, it looked like overkill. That kind of force could flatten her entire Phoenix Dwelling if they wanted to.
So what the hell were they planning?
"You guessed it," Ethan said with a smile. "We’re going after a Dungeon King."
The words had barely left his mouth—
No, scratch that. He hadn’t even finished the sentence—
When Isaryne’s face went pale.
"You’re serious? You’re actually going after a Dungeon King? Are you out of your minds?!" she blurted, eyes wide with disbelief.
