My Wife is My Life!-Chapter 264
My Wife is My Life! Chapter 264
Chen Shuyi and Li Zhen both ‘hugged in mutual support’ as they got goosebumps all over their bodies.
I didn’t see it. I totally didn’t see that he had it in him, Chen Shuyi questioned himself. He had known Lu Lixing for close to 20 years. He never imagined that Lu Lixing would actually be the type who was cold on the outside and passionate on the inside. He just doesn’t usually express it, but once he does, it’ll bring shockwaves. Confessing and giving a public display of affection right in front of the live-stream camera; is that really him?
What’s more, this was his room.
Fuck! It’s also his live-stream room.
Chen Shuyi opened the door and gestured for them to leave.
Lu Lixing got up. Holding her hand, he brought Ji Qingqing, who was still in a confused state, out of Chen Shuyi’s room.
The commotion in the live-stream room had long alerted Director Wang and he rushed all the way over from the office that the hotel had specially prepared for the program production crew to wait outside Chen Shuyi’s room. The couple of cameramen had their cameras all switched on and waited a long time for Lu Lixing and Ji Qingqing to emerge from the room.
This kind of sensational news was to be regarded as one of the big critical points and highlights in the program. At such a crucial moment, how could he not be present on-site to control the situation?
His phone kept vibrating. Director Wang took it out and glanced at it. Quite a number of managers and celebrities who had worked together with him before had contacted him to ask about this matter.
This situation was indeed damn interesting.
If it was Ji Qingqing, truthfully speaking, it really wouldn’t be able to stir up such a huge shockwave. After all, at most, she’s just a second-line celebrity. Those types of first-line celebrity late-night confessions that would cause Sina Weibo to crash wouldn’t happen to her.
If it was Lu Lixing, he also wouldn’t cause such a huge shockwave either. After all, regardless of how rich and handsome Lu Lixing was, in the past, he always maintained a low profile and there weren’t many people who knew of him. Even those fans, who were excitedly spamming in the live-stream now, had been gained because of those two days of live-streaming.
The main focus was that Ji Qingqing had previously gotten a couple of celebrities into scandals with her.
Though he gotta admit, in the past, Ji Qingqing was not only well-versed in creating publicity stunts, she was also rather clever in grabbing hold of current popular male celebrities to forcefully step up.
She knew that getting into scandals with the celebrities from the same company as her would be way better than grabbing hold of celebrities from other companies which would end up in receiving a letter from lawyers and offending the other party. After all, celebrities from the same company meet each other on a frequent basis. With the company managers keeping an eye on the situation, at most they’ll just warn Ji Qingqing to not cause trouble again. It’s impossible that they’ll really let things turn nasty and stir up internal strife.
Meanwhile, those Tianyu Entertainment celebrities, who had gotten into scandals with Ji Qingqing before and had sworn that they’ll never appear in the same camera frame as her, received the news announcing Ji Qingqing and Lu Lixing’s relationship. The past target of their scandals had turned into their topmost lady boss and they each got a huge shock. The ones that had worked together with Director Wang directly sent a message to inquire about the situation while those that hadn’t worked with him before asked someone to inquire for them.
Director Wang replied to a couple of people with whom he had a good relationship with. He gave vague replies, saying that he wasn’t sure of the situation and that he’ll update them again once everything gets clarified.
He put his phone aside and continued waiting.
They waited for a short while and saw that the door had opened. The eyes of the dense, large crowd waiting outside the door glowed and all their gazes shot towards the inside of the room.
Lu Lixing held Ji Qingqing’s hand as they appeared together towards the direction of the door. He expressionlessly glanced at the cameras that were surrounding them and headed towards the elevator.
Ji Qingqing followed him and walked by his side. She was one step behind him and Lu Lixing’s tall and well-built back view filled up her line of sight.
Ever since earlier when Lu Lixing took out his phone to see the live-stream, she hadn’t said a single word. Her whole person was in a state of shock and her brain was like paste that was being stirred. Throughout the entire process, she only heard Lu Lixing’s mouth open and close, seemingly about to say something.
When she came back to her senses, his final line echoed in her ears, “All in all, I have one thing to say. I love her and I don’t wish for anyone to hurt her, whether it is with words or mentally.”
Just now, did Lu Lixing say that he loved her?
Lu Lixing loved her?
