My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 36: Come and Get It If You Dare
Gideon Alden sneered back. "So what if it’s Red Armor? I’ve got plenty of it."
"Too bad you don’t have a weapon," Zeke Quincy retorted coolly.
Gideon Alden’s expression soured as if his thoughts had been exposed. "Cut the crap. Are you going to bet or not?"
A classmate next to Zeke Quincy tugged on his shirt, signaling him not to be rash. But Gideon Alden pushed up the glasses on his nose and said disdainfully, "If you don’t have the guts to bet, then get on your knees, kowtow, and admit you’re no match for me!"
"Are you fucking crazy?!"
Zeke Quincy grabbed his classmate who was about to roll up his sleeves and fight Gideon Alden, then replied with a calm and composed expression, "Let him be. After all, daydreaming is free..."

The door to the small private room was pushed open from the outside. Aurora Sinclair turned to look and saw a crowd of people at the entrance.
Zeke Quincy, carrying a plastic bag, led the way in.
"Damn, what’s he doing here?" a classmate recognized Gideon Alden with surprise.
Gideon Alden sneered. "Young Master Quincy wants to PK me in the arena! If he loses, he has to hand over the Red Armor weapon your guild won last week."
"Young Master Shawn, what’s going on?"
"Is what he’s saying true?"
The two people who had remained in the room frowned, clearly disapproving.
Although Zeke Quincy was the guild leader, they were veterans who had fought alongside him to build it up. Naturally, they were unwilling to gamble with the guild’s resources.
Zeke Quincy’s expression was calm. He glanced at the smug Gideon Alden and asked lightly, "Do I look that bored to you?"
"I get it. Being too outstanding is a crime in itself!"
"Sigh! Some people just aren’t born lucky like a young master and end up green with envy..."
The boys from Kingsford No. 1 High School chimed in one after another, infuriating Gideon Alden. He glared at them and taunted, "What? Does Kingsford No. 1 High School not dare to compete with us from First City High School?"
Zeke Quincy sneered, "Heh... We have no interest in bullying those we’ve already beaten."
After speaking, he didn’t even look at his opponent’s expression, turning to Aurora Sinclair with a foxy smile. "Aurora, you up for a PK match in the arena?"
Aurora Sinclair thought for a moment, then nodded. "I’m in."
Zeke Quincy turned back to Gideon Alden. "We’re sending a girl to fight. Do you dare?"
Gideon Alden was stunned for a moment. He glanced at Aurora Sinclair, then asked, humiliated and enraged, "Zeke Quincy, what’s the meaning of this? You don’t dare to accept the challenge?"
Zeke Quincy sat down casually, lifting his chin slightly, looking at him with an expression of pure disdain. "With your lousy skills, I really don’t want to fight you. Winning wouldn’t be impressive; it’s just a waste of time. She’s my new apprentice. She’s more than enough to handle you..."
"You—"
Gideon Alden was so angry he laughed. "Zeke Quincy, you’re having a girl PK against me? If you want to hand over the weapon for free, just say so!"
Zeke Quincy just smiled faintly without a word, striking a pose that made Gideon Alden clench his fists, itching to punch him.
"Fine! What Level is she?"
Zeke Quincy turned to glance at Aurora Sinclair’s computer screen and replied with a smile, "Her assassin character is already Lev—...Level 15. Just high enough to enter the cross-server arena. You guys can play in a normalized match!"
Gideon Alden erupted in fury at his words. Unable to hold back any longer, he pointed at Zeke’s nose and cursed, "Zeke Quincy, don’t fucking push it! You want a Level 15 newbie account to fight me? Who the hell are you trying to insult?"
But Zeke Quincy just cleaned out his ear and replied casually, "What other choice is there? It’s not like she has a Level 80 main account..."
Everyone: ...
’Damn, Zeke Quincy is a fucking legend!’
Although a normalized match would scale both characters’ Levels and Combat Power down to the same tier, the unique attributes of their equipment would remain unchanged.
And so, on one side stood a Mage glittering with red light, facing an assassin clad in black armor on the other. Moreover, the only thing on the assassin that glowed was the faint green light from the weapon in her hands.
Looking at the computer screen, Gideon Alden felt like Zeke Quincy was humiliating him no matter how he looked at it. He gritted his teeth in anger.
He glanced at Aurora Sinclair, who was sitting one seat away from him, and asked pointedly, "Hey beautiful, are you sure you want to fight me?"
’To be honest, she’s even prettier than our school’s campus belle. I’d almost feel bad about being rough on such a beauty.’
Aurora Sinclair didn’t answer him, her expression remaining cold and aloof.
This angered Gideon Alden even more. ’I’ll torture this assassin to death after the match starts,’ he thought. ’I’ll pay them back for this humiliation, with interest.’
Zeke Quincy’s classmates were still completely baffled, wondering what he had up his sleeve. "Young Master Shawn, are you serious? You’re letting the goddess PK against him?"
Zeke Quincy nodded calmly. "The assassin class is pretty strong in PK. It’s a good chance for Aurora to get some practice with Gideon Alden..."
The three boys were all dumbfounded. ’Don’t tell me Young Master Shawn caught whatever crazy disease Gideon Alden has. Has his brain stopped working too?’
’A newbie account that just hit Level 15 PK-ing against a main account that’s already Level 80?’
’Even if the Levels are normalized, the gear is completely different!’
’How is this fight even possible?’
The three of them wore strange expressions, thinking that Zeke Quincy had lost his mind.

Cross-Server Arena PK Countdown: 3, 2, 1—
Gideon Alden, controlling his Mage, Prince Snow, struck first, launching a blizzard straight at the opposing assassin, Master Rory.
It was a fast Skill with a wide area of effect, a common opening move for Mages in PK. Even with Aurora Sinclair’s reaction speed, she wouldn’t be able to dodge it completely.
A triumphant smile spread across Gideon Alden’s face, but then the opposing Master Rory suddenly vanished into stealth.
"Even if you go invisible, you can’t escape my AoE Skills..."
With one hand, Gideon Alden casually pressed key after key, unleashing attacks in Master Rory’s last known direction. His expression was already one of certain victory.
In the upper right corner of the screen, Master Rory’s health bar steadily dropped. The smile on Gideon Alden’s lips grew wider.
Although an assassin in stealth couldn’t be revealed by any Skill, she would immediately reappear upon using an offensive Skill of her own. Plus, the stealth effect had a time limit. The lower the Level, the shorter the duration. At her Level 15, it would last three minutes at most.
Gideon Alden’s goal was to make Master Rory die a miserable death, so all his attacks carried speed-reducing debuffs like Freeze and Burn.
"If you surrender now, I can stop and give you an opening..."
Before he could finish his sentence, Prince Snow’s Skill was interrupted on the screen. The entire character was launched into the air, a bloody gash appearing on his neck.
Defense broken in a single hit!
Master Rory’s figure had appeared behind Prince Snow at some unknown moment, her Green Light Dagger now glowing with a bloody light.
The smile on Gideon Alden’s face froze instantly, then twisted into a furious rage. He pursed his lips and quickly counterattacked with an instant-cast Ordinary Magic Attack, then moved Prince Snow backward, trying to create distance from Master Rory again.
But Master Rory’s speed was incredible. Not only did she precisely dodge his ordinary magic Spell, but she also used Assassin Sprint to close the distance for melee combat. Every strike of her dagger found its mark. With brilliant and fluid execution, she landed an 8-consecutive-hit combo, stunning him and dealing massive critical damage.
Prince Snow was juggled in the air the entire time, completely unable to act. He was taken down in a single combo by the Level 15 assassin, Master Rory, his entire health bar wiped out.
And Master Rory claimed a perfect victory with one-third of her health remaining.
Only when the word "VICTORY" appeared on the screen did Aurora Sinclair stop. She turned her head and looked calmly at the boys beside her, who were completely dumbstruck.
Zeke Quincy had originally just guessed that Aurora Sinclair had a good memory, learned things quickly, and had her own unique ideas about the game’s Skill Tree. He had taken a gamble on something Ethan Lowell once said: "She’s really talented at ’Battle for Glory.’ In terms of pure PK skill, I definitely can’t beat her."
He never expected that she wasn’t just talented—she was a prodigy. Her hand speed and Skill choices just now were already at a professional player’s level.
The way she flew across the keyboard was dazzling. Anyone who saw it would never believe she had only been learning to use a computer for two hours.
Nearby, Gideon Alden, whom they had been ignoring, had an expression so dark it was beyond description. He ground out through clenched teeth, "You cheated! You used a hack—"
Zeke Quincy scoffed dismissively. "We’re all right here! You know perfectly well whether anyone hacked or not! Check it yourself if you don’t believe it..."
One of Gideon Alden’s classmates, who had watched Aurora Sinclair’s gameplay the whole time, just shook his head at him, his expression complex.
But he just couldn’t believe he had lost, especially to a Level 15 newbie account played by a girl. This was an utter humiliation!
"Again—"
"Sure. But first, Alden, pay up the Red Armor from this round." Zeke Quincy crossed his arms, the smile on his face exceptionally grating.
Gideon Alden gripped his mouse tightly, glaring at him. Suddenly, he slammed the mouse down, stood up, and said with an ashen face, "We’re leaving—"
But Zeke Quincy’s classmates had already moved to block the door. "Pay up the Red Armor first..."
"I don’t have it—"
Gideon Alden glanced at his classmates, and someone immediately stepped forward to shove the boy blocking the way.
He never imagined he would lose today. And even if he did, he had no intention of giving Zeke Quincy any Red Armor. Why would he? They were playing on First City High School’s turf.
’They can’t win on our home turf. Serves them right!’
"Hey, you guys... So everyone from First City High School is a coward who can’t stand to lose!"
Just then, a tall, brawny boy grabbed the collar of the one who had taunted them and said disdainfully, "Who can’t stand to lose? Say that again, I dare you. You’re the ones who cheated first by getting an expert to help..."
"You’re going too far—" the boy shouted.
Gideon Alden pushed up the glasses on his nose and snorted. "Too far? This world is all about the law of the jungle. If you have what it takes, then come and get it!"
The triumphant look on his face made Zeke Quincy’s eyes burn with rage. He couldn’t help but clench his fists, saying through gritted teeth, "Let them go—"
Normally, he would have already charged forward with his fists swinging. But Aurora Sinclair was here today, and the other side outnumbered them by more than double. Starting a fight here would be a definite loss.
A provocative smile spread across Gideon Alden’s face. "Young Master Quincy, bye-bye now..."
"AH—"
Suddenly, a cry of pain made everyone in the room’s expression change.
They saw that the boy who was grabbing Zeke Quincy’s classmate now had his own wrist gripped by a small, fair hand.
