My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot-Chapter 143 - 137: Aurora Is Indeed a Sweetheart
Aurora Sinclair nodded, only half-understanding.
Master Aerion sighed inwardly. ’If possible, I would have preferred for her to remain a naive young girl, sheltered from the ways of the world.’
But the rules of the Martial World were incredibly cruel. Without great strength, she would never be able to secure her position.
Half an hour later, Alvin Morgan’s car pulled up to a Sichuan restaurant in a quiet neighborhood.
Three people were standing at the entrance. Upon seeing Alvin Morgan, they all breathed a sigh of relief.
The Young Master had left alone with Master Aerion yesterday without a word, which had left them on edge for a long time.
"Young Master, Teacher—" the three of them called out in unison.
Alvin Morgan gave a slight nod. Master Aerion glanced at the three of them and smiled. "You three have improved quite a bit over the past few years. Especially you, your talent is truly exceptional!"
A faint blush crept onto Dean Morgan’s stoic face at the compliment.
"It’s just that you’re not too bright."
The smile on Dean Morgan’s face froze.
Immediately after, Master Aerion tapped him on the forehead, sending a small stream of Power coursing rapidly through his meridians.
Dean Morgan’s face instantly turned pale. With a loud THUD, he clutched his head and fell to his knees.
This stream of Power was too tyrannical, destroying his meridians wherever it went. The pain was so intense it was worse than death.
"Mr. Dixon, focus your mind and guard your core! Quickly, circulate the Power within your body and follow its path along your meridians," Leigh Miles quickly advised upon seeing his state.
Dean Morgan gritted his teeth, flipped over, and sat down cross-legged. He mobilized all the Power in his body, directing it to follow behind the tyrannical Power as it moved through his meridians—one destroying, the other repairing.
Gradually, some color returned to Dean Morgan’s face.
"Not completely hopeless. One of you, keep an eye on him." With that, Master Aerion clasped his hands behind his back and walked into the restaurant.
"Master, will Mr. Dixon be alright?" Leigh Miles asked with concern, glancing back.
Master Aerion tapped her on the head. "You have to break down to build back stronger. If he can’t even endure this, he can forget about ever breaking through in this lifetime."
"So as long as he endures it, he’s guaranteed to break through?"
"Of course! He has a solid foundation to begin with."
Leigh Miles’s eyes lit up. "Master... I want to break through, too..."
"Not you! Your physical constitution isn’t as good as his. A breakthrough like this would damage your foundation! Go back and put on your senior sister’s light armor, and start running every day..."
"Okay..." Leigh Miles pouted in response.

This was a Sichuan restaurant, so all the dishes were spicy.
As they were about to go in, Alvin Morgan glanced at Beta Morgan.
He reluctantly pulled out a bottle of medicine. "Young Master, even with the medicine, you should still go easy on the spicy food!"
’His master was just too much trouble.’ He was clearly allergic to chili peppers, yet he had booked a Sichuan restaurant for the master and his three disciples.
Now he had to take medicine just to go inside.
The group arrived at a pleasant private room—not a room inside the building, but a small courtyard enclosed by a bamboo fence.
Inside the courtyard was a small pavilion containing a round dining table.
The pavilion was surrounded by a cobblestone path, which was bordered by a green lawn. Nearby, an artificial stream gurgled, home to several goldfish.
At first glance, it didn’t really look like a place to eat.
"This place is nice! Very thoughtful..."
When it was time to order, the master and his three disciples basically ordered according to the spice level of the dishes, which made Beta Morgan’s heart clench.
Then, Aurora Sinclair suddenly asked, "Morgan, aren’t you allergic?"
Beta Morgan’s eyes lit up instantly. ’Aurora is so considerate!’
But Alvin Morgan just replied, "It’s fine..."
Beta Morgan almost fell to his knees.
’Young Master! Can’t you be a little more aware of your own body’s limits?’
’Who was it that almost ended up in the hospital and died back then?’
Master Aerion looked up at him. "My Dawn Miles loves spicy food. She’s been eating chili peppers like fruit since she was a child."
Beta Morgan suddenly felt there was a hidden meaning in his teacher’s words, as if they were deliberately aimed at his master.
Sure enough, after the dishes were served, his master picked up a full chopstick’s worth of chili peppers and placed them in his bowl.
Just as Beta Morgan was about to snatch the bowl away, Aurora Sinclair, who was sitting next to the Young Master, swapped their bowls. She then said very seriously, "Morgan, if you can’t eat spicy food, don’t force yourself."
’So touching! Aurora really is a sweetheart!’

As they were eating, a waiter suddenly came in and said, "Young Master Morgan, the Guthries are outside asking to see you!"
Beta Morgan’s expression changed in an instant.
’The Guthrie Family actually followed them?’
’They must have a death wish!’
"Get rid of them!"
"But... she said she’s here to see Miss Sinclair. She said her name is Lana Guthrie."
"Lana Guthrie? Isn’t that the name of our master’s wife’s younger sister?" Leigh Miles asked while gnawing on a spicy pork rib.
Master Aerion’s interest was piqued. He stopped Beta Morgan. "Let her in..."
Beta Morgan glanced at Alvin Morgan, and seeing him give a slight nod, he had no choice but to suppress his anger.
A moment later, a man and a woman walked in.
Today, Lana Guthrie was wearing a blue cheongsam, a bit more vibrant than the one she wore when they last met at the art museum. Zane Guthrie followed behind her.
"Young Lord Morgan, Miss Sinclair, this is just a small token of our respect."
Beta Morgan took the gift and placed it aside.
Lana Guthrie was not one for pleasantries. She turned to Aurora Sinclair and got straight to the point. "I previously invited Miss Sinclair to take the association’s entrance exam in the latter half of the year. Registration begins next week, so I came to have Miss Sinclair fill out the application form."
"Let me see it..." Master Aerion suddenly spoke up. Only then did Lana Guthrie notice him. The moment she saw him, her expression changed instantly.
Thanks to her sister, she’d had the good fortune of meeting him once before and knew who he was.
’How could he be here?’
’Isn’t he forbidden from leaving Sunstone?’
She immediately bowed respectfully. "Mr. Miles."
Master Aerion waved his hand at her. "No need for formalities. Since you’re Flora’s younger sister, that makes you my sister. We’re family, no need to be so polite..."
Leigh Miles pursed her lips and muttered under her breath, "Taking advantage again..."
Zane Guthrie didn’t recognize Master Aerion, but seeing how familiar he seemed to be with Master Flora Guthrie, he secretly guessed he might be a member of one of the other three sects. A sense of awe washed over him.
"Good disciple, since this is the association your master’s wife has always sponsored, you should join too!"
"Okay..." Aurora Sinclair borrowed a pen from Leigh Miles and signed her name on the application form.
Zane Guthrie was so shocked that Aurora Sinclair agreed so readily that his jaw nearly dropped. He glanced at the silent Alvin Morgan and felt the whole situation was unreal. ’Am I dreaming?’
Even after they left, Zane Guthrie was still in disbelief. He couldn’t shake the feeling that there was a catch, especially since relations between the Morgan and Guthrie families hadn’t been good lately.
"Lana, do you think there’s something more to this?"
"Don’t worry, they aren’t petty like Reina Guthrie! The person who spoke to me earlier is Aurora Sinclair’s master. Since he agreed, the Morgan Family can’t object, no matter how displeased they are," Lana Guthrie said nonchalantly, glancing at him.
"Could he really be..." Zane Guthrie swallowed, his throat tight, and whispered, "One of the four from Sunstone?"
"If you don’t want the Guthrie Family to meet with disaster, don’t tell Reina Guthrie about this. If he finds out, there’s no telling what kind of trouble he’ll stir up!" Lana Guthrie warned Zane Guthrie.
Zane Guthrie nodded. He was utterly speechless when it came to the Head of the Guthrie Family.
He wanted to use Master Flora Guthrie’s reputation to his advantage, yet he was afraid her fame would overshadow him. The hypocrisy was off the charts.
"Who will Aurora Sinclair report to after joining the association?"
"She won’t report to anyone. She’s being made a senior honorary member directly."

Meanwhile, Dean Morgan had finally endured the reconstruction of his body. He broke through to the level of Martial Arts Master and shot straight to the Martial Arts Sect Third Rank.
Looking at the values displayed on his watch, he was so overjoyed he almost rushed back into the restaurant to kowtow to Master Aerion.
The teacher was truly worthy of his title. His guidance back then had allowed him to become a martial master, and now, a simple tap of his finger had elevated him directly to a Martial Arts Master.
One had to understand that breaking through a major Level was incredibly difficult. In addition to having the required strength, one also needed enlightenment.
Without enlightenment, a person could not advance no matter how hard they tried. That was why those who pursued the pinnacle of Martial Arts would retreat to the remote mountains and ancient forests for sudden enlightenment, often remaining there for decades at a time.
"Dixon, you’ll finally be able to avenge your defeat at next year’s freestyle fighting competition!"
A rare smile broke out on Dean Morgan’s stoic face.
