My Werewolf System-Chapter 1803: So Dangerous
Darkness clung to Gary’s new form as naturally as breath, and with the sun dipping lower on the horizon, the world around him seemed to sink into shadow. The fading light didn’t bother him. If anything it would aid him.
Still, even without the boost from his class, Gary felt certain, absolutely certain, that he could win this fight. What he wanted wasn’t just victory. He wanted to beat Midwak hard enough to snap him out of whatever twisted state he had fallen into.
Midwak stretched his hands back, muscles bulging grotesquely, and then thrust them forward with explosive force. The momentum behind the strike cracked the ground beneath him. But Gary wasn’t here to exchange blows like it was some kind of game, he already knew his body could take a beating, it was his time to give a beating.
[Ember Dash]
Flames burst beneath his feet as Gary kicked off the ground. His body blurred, weaving around the attack with ease. He almost seemed to glide, slipping past Midwak’s arms, then leaping high into the air. The hammer spun above his head, a blazing arc of motion.
As he poured Qi into the weapon, something unexpected happened. The veins along his wrists and forearms began to glow, bright, molten lines pulsing beneath his skin. Before he even fully understood it, the entire war hammer ignited in flames, burning hotter and brighter with every heartbeat.
Gary didn’t flinch. His current form granted him strong heat resistance, and the fire licking across his arms felt like nothing more than a warm breeze. He simply tightened his grip and came crashing down, swinging the hammer directly onto Midwak.
The glutton raised both hands to block, but the sheer force behind the blow was overwhelming. The ground beneath Midwak’s feet shattered, his legs buckling under the impact. A shockwave of fire erupted outward, scorching everything in a wide radius.
Even from a distance, Rowa felt the heat wash over him. It stung his eyes, forcing him to blink rapidly as he stared at the scene. Flames danced across the debris, casting flickering shadows across the ruined ground.
To Gary’s surprise, a mangled Midwak, one arm barely functioning, dragged himself out of the blast zone. He moved fast as his body twitched and spasmed, but he moved with stubborn determination.
“I guess even with the type of Werewolf you are right now, even you know when to feel fear,” Gary said, his voice calm as he walked toward him. “Does that mean you’re still in there somewhere, right?” Flames crackled around them, scattered across broken stone and twisted metal.
But Midwak wasn’t done. His body began to regenerate again, muscles twisting, bones snapping back into place, flesh stitching itself together in grotesque waves. When he finally stood, he immediately swung his arms, sending claw strikes slicing through the air.
Gary swung wide. His hammer smashed through two of the claw strikes at once, dispersing them into glowing particles. At the same time, a ball of flame energy burst from the hammer’s head.
It shot off to the side, slammed into a building wall, and exploded, shattering stone and sending fragments raining down.
“Oh... this is really interesting,” Gary muttered, staring at his palms. His veins were still glowing, and even the tips of his fingers radiated heat.
He had tested how to use his Qi along with the hammer and even learnt to use it with his Werewolf form, but he didn’t have the full time to test it in his Shadow Ash Lycan form. In the first place he assumed that he could still use the hammer and his skills to give him more variety in his fighting, but he didn’t expect for a change like this.
It couldn’t have been due to using the hammer and his form, so the real reason had to be because he could also utilise Qi now.
He decided to test it.
Gary swung the hammer sideways like a baseball bat. A condensed ball of flame shot out from the hammer’s head, fast and focused.
It slammed into Midwak’s chest before he could react. The explosion sent him flying into the air before he crashed back down onto the ground. Gary didn’t hesitate, he swung again, and another fireball launched outward. Then another. And another.
This condensed energy with the flames... it’s powerful, almost like a punch. But it’s not as sharp as a claw strike that can cut or pierce. Still, since I can use it with the hammer, they come out faster, and I can fire them quickly.
Gary swung the hammer three more times in rapid succession. Three fireballs shot toward Midwak. He tried to roll across the ground, but the first fireball exploded right in front of him, forcing him to flinch. The next two slammed into him, sending him tumbling back to the ground.
“Midwak!” Gary shouted. “On the last place I hit your body, that fireball hit your chest. I can see it. There’s a marking there. If I hit it again, the power of this hammer activates. I know you’re strong in that body, but if it hits you, you will die... so please... if you’re in there, come out!”
His voice echoed across the ruined street, but Midwak didn’t respond. His eyes remained wild, unfocused, lost in whatever madness had taken hold of him. Even after all the hits, even though Gary was dominating the fight, Midwak showed no sign of breaking through.
Meanwhile, Rowa stood frozen like a statue, unable to tear his gaze away.
What were those flames he used? And that weapon in his hand... there were no reports of that before. With the skills he has, the things he can do... he’s making up for the one advantage we vampires have. He can dominate and attack at midrange.
I might just be looking at the most dangerous Werewolf in existence.
