Chapter 151: Overgod Enters

The air of the plane trembled quietly.

For a moment nothing happened.

Then space itself tore open.

A thin crack appeared in the dark sky, stretching across the air like a wound carved into reality. The edges of the tear glowed faintly red as if something inside the void was bleeding into the world.

From within that fracture stepped a single figure.

Cain.

The dimensional tear closed behind him almost instantly, sealing itself like water flowing back together after being disturbed.

He stood in silence for a moment.

The night stretched wide across the strange plane where the Moonshade family had been sent earlier. The sky was darker than a normal world, and the moon hanging above looked pale and distant as if it had been drained of warmth.

Cain lifted his head and looked upward.

His red eyes glowed faintly in the darkness.

"Four more hours," he murmured.

His gaze drifted toward the distant horizon where a thin gray line hinted at the coming dawn.

"In four hours the sun rises."

His voice carried no urgency.

He simply stood there for a moment, listening to the quiet wind moving across the empty land.

Then he looked around.

"Where could they be now?"

His voice was calm, though his thoughts moved quickly.

The Moonshade family had been scattered when he sent them away earlier. He knew they would gather together eventually. Vampires were skilled at sensing one another’s blood aura.

Still, this plane was large.

Cain slowly closed his eyes.

For a moment his body stood perfectly still.

Then a faint red glow began spreading across his skin.

His blood aura expanded outward like a massive invisible wave spreading through the entire land.

Mountains.

Forests.

Rivers.

Everything within hundreds of kilometers was swept by that searching presence.

Then Cain opened his eyes.

"I found you."

His body vanished instantly.

In its place only a streak of red light shot across the dark sky like a falling comet.

The land below blurred as he traveled at terrifying speed.

Minutes passed.

Then more minutes.

Cain slowed as his eyes caught something far in the distance.

A battlefield.

Dust rising.

Magic exploding.

And a massive crimson owl fighting against two human sorcerers.

Cain stopped in the air high above the scene.

His gaze quickly moved past the battlefield.

Not far away, hidden within the trees, he sensed the familiar presence of three people.

Cornelia.

Ivira.

Faith.

The three women were standing together in silence, watching the battle from a distance.

Cain remained invisible.

He simply observed quietly.

His eyes moved back to the battlefield.

The Blood Owl he had strengthened earlier continued attacking the sorcerers relentlessly. One of them was already badly injured while the other struggled to keep his balance under the creature’s fierce attacks.

Cain watched calmly.

"That owl is doing well," he said softly.

His gaze then moved beyond the battlefield toward the distant horizon where faint traces of mana lingered in the air.

The direction those sorcerers had come from.

Cain folded his arms.

"I need to find a place for them to settle down first."

His voice remained calm and thoughtful.

"After that I can continue my plan."

The world he had returned to was large and complicated. There were kingdoms, magical towers, hidden factions, and ancient powers moving quietly beneath the surface.

He needed a safe place to leave his wives before he began moving openly again.

His eyes narrowed slightly.

"Let’s see where these sorcerers came from."

Cain’s body turned.

Then once again he vanished into a streak of red light shooting across the sky.

Far below, the battlefield continued.

But he had already left.

...

Not far from the battlefield, hidden within a thick forest, three women stood quietly beneath the trees.

Ivira suddenly blinked.

Cornelia turned toward her.

"What is it?"

Ivira frowned slightly.

"For a moment... I heard something."

Faith tilted her head.

"Heard what?"

Ivira hesitated.

"It felt like..."

Her eyes searched the sky.

"Like Cain was thinking."

Cornelia’s eyes widened.

"Thinking?"

Ivira nodded slowly.

"Yes. It was only for a moment. His voice inside my head."

Faith looked around the forest nervously.

"Where is he?"

Ivira closed her eyes briefly.

But the connection had already faded.

"He’s gone again."

Cornelia crossed her arms and sighed softly.

"That man never stays still."

Faith looked toward the distant battlefield where the owl still fought violently.

"Do you think he’s watching us?"

Ivira smiled faintly.

"He always is."

...

Far away from the battlefield, the red streak of light continued racing across the sky.

Cain moved so quickly that even the clouds barely noticed his passing.

Minutes later a new sight appeared below him.

A human city.

The place stood like a shining jewel within the dark wilderness.

Tall white walls surrounded the city, glowing faintly with magical runes that pulsed gently along their surface. Those runes formed a protective barrier that covered the entire settlement like an invisible dome.

Inside the walls the city looked alive with magic.

Bright crystal lamps floated above the streets, casting warm golden light across stone roads lined with elegant buildings.

Magical animals wandered peacefully between the houses.

Small glowing deer moved calmly through gardens filled with blue flowers. Tiny dawn birds made of shimmering light fluttered through the air while leaving trails of glowing dust behind them.

In one wide plaza a fountain of clear water rose high into the air, though the water did not fall back down normally. Instead it floated in beautiful spirals before returning gently to the pool below.

There was no children laughing probably because it’s dawn.

But some Merchants are up early and arranging magical herbs on colorful tables while enchanted tools hovered beside them ready for purchase.

This was a kingdom built on magic.

Every building carried small runes carved into its walls. Every street corner held protective charms to guard against wandering monsters.

Above everything stood the great palace.

The palace rose high above the rest of the city like a crown of white marble and golden towers.

Large banners moved slowly in the night wind.

Guards walked along the walls wearing armor decorated with glowing symbols that strengthened their bodies and sharpened their senses.

Yet even within this peaceful city something unexpected happened.

Two guards standing atop the eastern wall suddenly stiffened.

One of them looked toward the sky.

"Did you feel that?"

The other guard frowned.

"For a moment... yes."

His hand rested on the sword at his waist.

"It felt like something entered the barrier."

Both of them looked around carefully.

But the air remained calm.

The magical barrier above the city showed no sign of disturbance.

The first guard rubbed his chin.

"Strange."

The second guard shrugged.

"Maybe just a wandering spirit."

They looked at each other for a moment before returning to their watch.

Neither of them realized that Cain had already passed through their barrier faster than their senses could follow.

...

Inside the grand palace, the throne hall glowed with golden light.

At the far end of the massive chamber sat the king.

He lounged lazily on his throne while several ministers stood around him discussing matters of trade and defense.

The king looked bored.

His crown rested crookedly on his head while one hand supported his chin.

Just then the large doors burst open.

A soldier rushed inside.

"My king!"

The sudden interruption made several ministers turn their heads.

The king sighed heavily.

"What is it now?"

His voice sounded tired.

The soldier knelt quickly.

"My king, I have urgent news."

The king waved his hand lazily.

"Speak."

The soldier swallowed.

"Scouts reported a group of vampires not far from the kingdom’s outer forest."

The king froze.

Then suddenly he jumped to his feet.

"What?!"

His shout echoed across the throne hall.

"That damned blood sucking race!"

His face turned red with anger.

"Those cursed vampires dare approach my territory?!"

He slammed his fist against the arm of his throne.

"Do those Nine Blood Empires think they can ignore the pact again?"

His voice grew louder.

"For hundreds of years we have honored that agreement! Humans stay out of their lands and those blood drinkers stay out of ours!"

The ministers remained silent while the king continued ranting.

"Those arrogant monsters built their Nine Blood Empires and declared themselves rulers of the night!"

He paced across the floor furiously.

"Crimson Throne Empire, Black Vein Empire, Scarlet Dominion..."

He spat the names like poison.

"Each one ruled by those cursed blood kings who think the world belongs to them!"

The king pointed toward the soldier.

"And now their people sneak into my territory?!"

The soldier quickly raised his hands.

"My king, please listen."

The king stopped.

"What?"

The soldier spoke carefully.

"The scouts noticed something strange."

The king frowned.

"Explain."

"They said the vampires they saw did not carry the empire marks."

The ministers exchanged confused looks.

The king narrowed his eyes.

"No mark?"

The soldier nodded.

"Yes, my king. None of them bore the blood crest that identifies members of the Nine Blood Empires."

The king paused.

"That is... unusual."

The soldier continued.

"There were only a few of them. But the strange thing is that their weakest members already stand in the middle stage of the Foundation Mana Realm."

Several ministers gasped softly.

"That level of strength..."

The king rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Hmm."

After a moment he shrugged.

"Probably rebels."

The soldier blinked.

"Rebels?"

"Yes," the king said casually. "Those who refuse to accept the rule of the Nine Blood Empires."

He waved his hand dismissively.

"Vampire cave crawlers who hide in the wilderness and refuse to serve their blood kings."

The ministers nodded slowly.

The king sat back down on his throne.

"If they are just a small group of rebels, then our tower mages can deal with them easily."

He yawned slightly.

"Call the senior disciple of Exploding Magic if needed."

The soldier bowed.

"Yes, my king."

But before anyone could speak again—

A powerful wave of blood mana suddenly spread across the entire city.
