My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 476: Is He Blind?
Jared Quinn chuckled, "I can’t do anything about you. Go wash up and have breakfast first. Spend the day resting at home; I’ll head to the office."
Melody Thorne’s gaze fell on his uncovered hand, already awake. She had fallen asleep yesterday, so she forgot about it. Looking at it now, she saw that Jared’s actions from the previous night had caused the freshly healed wounds to reopen.
"Jared, what did you do again?" she demanded, grabbing his hand, swiftly getting out of bed and pulling out the medical kit, expertly taking out the medicine and gauze.
Her small face already showed some anger. She took care of him carefully every day, yet he wasted her efforts like this.
"Jared, don’t move around carelessly!"
Seeing her face filled with a bit of anger, the esteemed CEO didn’t dare to remove the gauze.
"I’m going to the company with you." Melody Thorne picked up some clothes to change into and went into the bathroom to wash up.
...
Outside the Quinn Group headquarters.
The driver drove all the way to the front of Jared Quinn’s company, rather than the hidden underground garage.
"Young Master Jared," the driver opened the door.
Jared Quinn got out of the car, walked around the front, and opened the car door on the other side, his movements elegant and dignified.
Melody Thorne, however, grabbed the front seat, disregarding her image, "Why did you suddenly decide to let me come in from the front?"
Compared to the front entrance, she preferred entering from the back.
Jared Quinn massaged his brow with his large hand, while the other hand, wrapped in gauze, lifted her out of the car, "From now on, always come in through the front!"
He wanted the whole world to know Melody Thorne’s position as Mrs. Quinn.
"Jared,"
Melody Thorne, who was lifted out, covered her face with her hands, feeling quite unaccustomed to his sudden decision. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"Even if you cover your face, everyone here knows you," Jared Quinn smirked slyly, leading her inside without stopping for a second.
Everyone here indeed knew Melody Thorne, but they didn’t know her true identity.
As they walked in, many company employees gasped, covering their mouths; their CEO was practically half-holding Melody Thorne as they entered...
"Hi," Melody Thorne waved at those people without stopping and entered the elevator.
Leaving behind a crowd of bewildered people...
In the solemn, controversial meeting room, Jared Quinn sat at the head, while below was the continuous chatter of the shareholders.
They occasionally looked up to scrutinize the woman beside Jared Quinn, who was currently writing quickly, leaving marks on those documents.
Whatever Jared said, she wrote down, clearly a diligent little secretary, who was also privy to the Quinn Corporation’s confidential documents.
All the shareholders wanted to ask but didn’t dare to inquire about Melody Thorne’s identity.
After the meeting ended, Melody Thorne immediately tossed away the pen, stretching her five tiny fingers.
"Tired?" Jared Quinn tenderly squeezed her fair little fingers, his cold eyes showing a hint of pain.
"Tsk–" At this moment, Simon Sutton felt like a knife had been thrust into his chest, blood oozing out.
Was he blind? He clearly didn’t see Melody Thorne writing much, only a few lines in total.
Only one sentence on each document; he should worry if those old directors could even understand.
As Simon Sutton left the meeting room, he was immediately surrounded by old directors waiting at the stairs, asking about Melody Thorne’s true identity.
"The CEO has his own plans. I guess it won’t be long before their identities are revealed."
