Chapter 447: Chapter 447: Let’s Talk

Jared Quinn withdrew his gaze but did not leave the study, "Get me results as quickly as possible."

"Alright."

"Alright."

Leon Rivers and Harold Chapman responded.

"Bang–" The door to the study was closed.

"Jared Quinn," Melody Thorne quickly ran up, pounding on the study door, "Jared Quinn, I have something to say to you, let’s talk."

"No time," Jared Quinn’s deep voice came from inside, sounding devoid of any emotion.

"Can’t you spare me just a moment? I won’t take up much of your time," Melody Thorne continued, trying to twist the door handle, but after a long time, she still couldn’t open the door.

"Madam, madam," Leon Rivers and Harold Chapman simultaneously blocked Melody Thorne.

The people inside clearly didn’t want Melody Thorne to know something, especially since after a few days of recovery, Jared Quinn’s hand was still in bad shape and couldn’t be moved for at least a month.

And Melody Thorne wasn’t someone who could be easily dealt with. Jared Quinn had been injured over and over again because of her.

If she were around, Jared Quinn’s wounds definitely wouldn’t heal easily.

"Master Jared is very busy now, with both domestic and international matters to attend to. If there’s something you want to discuss, why not come back another day?" Leon Rivers suggested, "Or how about we go downstairs to discuss how to help Mrs. Thorne recover her memory?"

"Get out of my way," Melody Thorne kicked the door, a sharp pain shooting up from her toe, causing her to inhale sharply.

Leon Rivers and Harold Chapman looked at her actions speechlessly, likely imagining that the man inside was also feeling conflicted.

"Let’s go, let’s go," Leon Rivers wrapped his arm around Harold Chapman’s shoulder and went downstairs.

The issues between a husband and wife were beyond their ability to manage, after all, right?

"Jared Quinn, I know you definitely have time. I must talk to you today," Melody Thorne pounded on the study door again, "I don’t believe you can’t spare even ten minutes."

Unfortunately, no matter how much Melody Thorne pounded on the study door, it was useless.

The person inside seemed completely impervious to her voice and made no movement.

"If you don’t come out, I’ll wait right here," Melody Thorne leaned against the door and squatted down.

In less than two minutes, a little boy silently squatted beside her, "I’ll wait with you. I have something to talk to him about too."

He wanted to negotiate more time for himself to stay with Melody Thorne.

The butler looked at the scene upstairs, his lips twitching slightly, but he didn’t intervene. Jared Quinn couldn’t use his hands and forbade them from coming close. If someone could take care of him, it would definitely be better than the current situation.

With that in mind, the butler headed to the kitchen. It was already evening, and it was certain that the young madam wouldn’t leave, so he prepared dinner.

Melody Thorne waited for more than two hours, but there was still no sign of the door opening. Her legs had gone numb from waiting.

After having dinner at the Quinn Family’s house, Melody Thorne continued waiting outside the study.

"Aren’t you going in to deliver food?" Melody Thorne furrowed her brows, thinking that Jared Quinn must be practicing some form of immortal cultivation, never leaving, never eating.

"Well, the young master said he’ll come down himself if he’s hungry," the butler looked at the study’s door and sighed.

The young master was also well-intentioned. Despite being injured, he didn’t want the madam to know and was enduring everything by himself.

Melody Thorne waited another two or three hours. Timmy’s head had already fallen asleep on Melody Thorne’s shoulder, and Melody Thorne herself leaned against the wall, unable to withstand the sleepiness. Yawning repeatedly, her eyes closed uncontrollably.
