My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 406: Pretending
The next second, her hand behind her pressed against Melody Thorne’s forehead, the cold metallic touch, Melody Thorne knew it was a gun.
"Did you call me here just to kill me?" Melody Thorne’s gaze was unruffled, looking deeply at the woman before her. "What? Could it be that this so-called relative is a threat to you? You want to kill me before telling me anything about my background?"
Stella Seymour’s gaze on Melody Thorne changed a bit, she slightly raised the excessively long tail of her painted eyebrows. "What? Aren’t you afraid?"
Melody Thorne raised her hand, moved away the gun that Stella Seymour had pressed against her forehead. "If I’m not mistaken, you should have known long ago that I am the person you are looking for, and you have had plenty of opportunities. After all, you are in the open, and I am in the dark. If you wanted to take action, you would have done so already."
Stella Seymour scrutinized Melody Thorne’s gaze with some exploration, this seems different from what she saw that day.
The Melody Thorne of that day was clearly timid and weak.
But now her eyes were filled with coldness, coldness that could keep people at a distance of a thousand miles, she was overly smart.
Pretending?
"You didn’t invite me just to say these things, did you?" Melody Thorne casually found a place to sit, and glanced at the time displayed on her phone. "You might have ten minutes left, if you can’t finish talking in ten minutes, you might end up being interrupted by Jared Quinn, and have everything said under his judgment."
Stella Seymour had never been treated so disrespectfully. The Seymour Family’s background was dazzling, their status noble, in Crestfall who wasn’t respectful and deferential to the Seymour Family.
She clearly intended to scare Melody Thorne, best to scare her till she wet herself, then record a video and send it back to Crestfall, let everyone see if the person they were looking for was worthy of being a Seymour.
Melody Thorne supported her delicate chin with one hand, and lightly tapped the table with the other, waiting patiently for the woman in front of her to speak.
She was indeed curious about her own family background.
Stella Seymour’s face was full of anger, this woman was arrogantly over the top in front of her.
"Eight minutes left," Melody Thorne reminded, slightly curling her flawlessly delicate lips as she looked at the woman in front of her.
Stella Seymour squinted her eyes, the deliberately elongated eyelashes curled high upwards, like big-eyed Barbie, sitting across with anger.
Gunpowder and battle flames, about to ignite at any moment.
"Seven," Melody Thorne’s pink, tender lips moved slightly.
"You are the eldest daughter of the Seymour Family," Stella Seymour glared furiously. "Seymour Family, you’ve probably never even heard of them, right? Indeed, someone as ignorant as you, already married, just entering and leaving the kitchen, how could you have heard of them."
Melody Thorne’s lightly tapping fingers on the table gradually stopped, Seymour Family, she had really heard of them.
But only on the surface, as she heard from Jared Quinn and Harold Chapman.
Her eyebrows slightly raised, is this playing a bit too big?
"Does the Seymour Family have a bad-tempered old man?"
Stella Seymour "...That’s grandfather! Watch your tone, have the proper attitude towards elders, if people of the Seymour Family see your attitude, you will definitely be punished!"
It seems they’re all hard to get along with...
Melody Thorne thought for a moment, her gaze fell on Stella Seymour, noticing the resemblance in their faces.
