My Super Sassy Dad: Stop Running Away, Mrs. Quinn!-Chapter 311: Didn’t Expect You to Be So Good at Flirting
Melody Thorne leaned back slightly, "I’ve suddenly lost my desire for plain water; I want coffee. Would you make me a cup of coffee?"
Sheryl Lancaster glanced once more in Jared Quinn’s direction, but Jared was absorbed in his documents, oblivious to her presence.
Suppressing her anger, Sheryl reluctantly went to make a cup of coffee and slammed it down on the table so hard that some spilled out.
Melody Thorne looked at her coldly and commented, "Jared Quinn, is there something wrong with your eyes? How can you use such a lousy secretary? Are you hiding something unsavory between you and her? Is it time for an inventory?"
Sheryl Lancaster’s face flushed immediately.
The documents that Jared Quinn was perusing snapped shut, his large hand grasping Melody Thorne’s wrist as his voice deepened, "Is it her that’s overdue for inventory or is it you?"
Sheryl heard this and her mood lifted slightly, feeling somewhat pleased, thinking Jared was siding with her.
"Hmm?" Jared’s large hand had already pulled Melody into his embrace.
Melody pinched his waist, a warning not to misbehave or she’d refuse to serve him.
Jared lowered his head and kissed her mouth, kissing her with abandon, the kind of devouring kiss that nearly swallowed her whole.
Even watching was enough to make one blush and their heart race; that kind of male allure was irresistible.
Sheryl couldn’t help but blush, even though the kiss wasn’t hers, such a man was someone she very much desired.
It made her wonder how wonderful it would be if she were the one in his arms right now.
Five full minutes passed before Jared released her, while Sheryl stood there watching them kiss for five minutes.
The room was flooded with an ambiguous atmosphere, and she felt like a third wheel, completely ignored by everyone.
Sheryl clenched her hand and turned to leave the office!
No, she couldn’t leave, she was gambling, and had only this one chance.
Sheryl stayed strong until the end of the workday.
"Secretary Lancaster," Jared said as he left the office, glancing at her again, repeating his words from last night, "Go home and get some rest."
"Mr. Quinn..." Sheryl looked at him walking away, puzzled.
Does she understand a man’s mind? Jared Quinn intends to have Melody Thorne, while letting her stay by his side as a mistress?
Sheryl’s chest rose and fell with her indignation, her pride telling her no, absolutely not.
But what man has only one woman by his side?
Melody Thorne was following behind Jared Quinn, gradually slowing down, her steps became further and further from Jared’s.
When Jared turned around, there was a distance between them, as if they could never walk together.
Especially Melody Thorne, too hurt from her past life, she couldn’t help but think about how Jared had treated other women and recalled how he treated her in her past life, although that was only a past life...
"Melody Thorne," Jared stood still, his handsome face exuding an indiscernible emotion, "Come here."
Melody took another step back and curled her lips in mockery, "I didn’t expect you to be so skilled at wooing."
He hadn’t done anything, just said a word to Sheryl, and she was already almost entranced beyond saving.
As Melody moved, Jared’s eyes darkened, his tall figure walked over to Melody, stopped in front of her, and swept her in his arms, "You’re the only one I want to woo."
