My SSS-Rank Skill and System is too OP in Modern Cultivation world-Chapter 128: The Retribution of the Feathered Guardian
---
"Now, listen here!" Nima shouted to a particularly scaly monster that lingered too close to her. "You're not coming with me, and I expect you to follow my orders! I want you to guard the camp, and if you mess up, I'll have you scrubbing the ruins until you make it sparkle!" The monster gave a low, reluctant grunt that sounded like an angry agreement.
In the chaos, over fifty wild monsters and at least ten students found themselves corralled under Nima's command. The robber cultivator, who had once mocked her, now looked on in stunned silence as she marched them around like a general commanding her army.
With a triumphant laugh, Nima surveyed her motley crew. "I'm the boss here, and you all will do as I say!" she declared, her voice ringing with pride and authority. "Now, off with you—gather what treasures you can, and make sure that stew is worthy of my taste buds!"
Even as the students and monsters grumbled and exchanged bitter internal curses—"How did you get the nerve to boss us around, you little tyrant?"—they also couldn't help but be impressed by her sheer audacity. Nima's charisma was magnetic, and though her orders were harsh, they carried the energy of someone destined to rule.
After the skirmish with the wild monsters, Nima finally found a quiet moment to herself. Sitting atop a small stone.
"Ugh, where are Kent and Auri?" she muttered, frowning as she recalled their last promises to meet up. "They said they'd be here… I haven't seen a trace of them." Her tone softened, a rare moment of vulnerability emerging beneath her bossy exterior. "I guess I'm on my own now. But that's fine—I'm more than capable of handling everything on my own." She forced a smile and patted her bracelet, which jingled with a mix of charms and trinkets that she regarded as symbols of her authority.
Raka fluttered close, tilting its head as if to ask, "Boss, what now?"
Nima scoffed, "Now? Now, you all get back to work. And you—" She pointed at a group of students still grumbling about their assigned tasks. "You'd better hurry and give me all the treasures you have for safe keeping. I also want everything spick and span, or you're cooking the next batch of vegetables until you cry!"
As the night deepened and the camp fell into a restless, chaotic lull, Nima's booming orders and playful insults echoed through the ruins. Her fierce spirit and irreverent humor had transformed the previously disjointed group into a ragtag army of underlings who, despite their misgivings, couldn't help but be drawn to her magnetic personality.

At the break of dawn, as the first light bathed the ruins in a soft golden glow, Nima stood atop a crumbling parapet, surveying her area. "I may be small, but I'm the biggest boss here," she declared proudly, her voice ringing clear and confident. "And mark my words—no one's going to tell me what to do! Not Kent, not Auri, and certainly not any of you slackers!"
A murmur of mixed reactions—ranging from silent curses to stifled giggles—followed her proclamation. Yet, amid the laughter and the grudging admiration, Nima's eyes shone with fierce determination. She had captured not only treasures but also the loyalty of many wild monsters and students. In her mind, she was building an empire—a future where she, the little girl with a big attitude, would reign supreme.
With a dismissive wave, she ordered, "Listen, for now I am going on my own way. I am leaving this beast to protect you. You all find treasure for me. Later, I will find you guys."
After giving her orders Nima leaves. She vanished from view in seconds with Raka, Lumo and almost with Fifty beast.
Location changed to Auri… As the first rays of dawn crept over the ancient stone, Auri's eyes shone with a mixture of pain and fierce determination. "Chip, chip, CHIP!" he chirped resolutely, his voice a battle cry to the empty halls. "I'm a sparrow with a phoenix bloodline, and I will rise again!" His chirps carried a promise, a vow that every mocking laugh, every cruel insult, would be repaid in kind.
Just then, his keen ears caught a rustle, a sign that the evil cultivators might have returned to gloat over their spoils. Auri tensed, his injured wing aching with the thought of further confrontation. But as the murmurs of approaching footsteps grew louder, a familiar, commanding voice rang out.
"Auri, I finally found you!"
It was Nima, her eyes blazing with righteous fury. She had been on her own adventure, and now she had returned to find her underlings in chaos. Seeing Auri battered and vulnerable sparked her anger to new heights. "Who did this to you?" she demanded, striding over with her usual unyielding authority.
Auri, still recovering, managed a weak chirp. "Chip… Nima you have come. Sob Sob Sob!
"Some bad people," with his injured wing Auri said, pointing at the direction where the evil cultivator fled, "last night they run that away after they tried to snatch my ring (which is a gift from Kent) and my claws… and they mocked me… called me a fat crow, even though I'm a sparrow!"
Nima's face contorted with rage. "Those greedy, pathetic cultivators! How dare they beat you and try to rob you." she exclaimed. "I'll make sure they pay dearly for their insolence!" Without another word, she turned sharply and ordered her minions beasts. "Search the ruins! Find the scoundrels who dared attack our feathered friend!"
The underlings, already cowed by her reputation, scattered in search of the culprits. Moments later, Nima and Auri received word, not so far a group of evil cultivators had been spotted huddled behind a broken wall on the edge of the clearing. Their mocking laughter was still audible in the distance.
"Time to teach them a lesson!" Nima declared, her voice booming. "Auri, stay behind me. We're going to show these losers that no one messes with Big Boss Nima's crew!"
Auri, still pained but emboldened by Nima's fierce presence, chirped a determined "Chip, chip!" His eyes shone with a mixture of gratitude and renewed resolve. Despite his injured wing, he was ready to fight for his dignity and for the promise of retribution that he had vowed to himself.
Nima led her formidable band of underling beasts toward the group of greedy cultivators. When they reached the culprits, the sight was both comical and pathetic: the evil cultivators were busy laughing, jeering at one another as if their cruelty was a badge of honor. Nima's eyes narrowed. "You bunch of lowly human scum, you really thought you could rob and injure our Auri and get away with it, didn't you?" she snarled.
Before the cultivators could respond, Nima's voice cut through the air like a whip. "Prepare to be punished!" she roared. With a flick of her wrist, she summoned her soul servants, Raka and Lumo, who charged forward with relentless energy. The underling beasts quickly joined the fray, and in a matter of moments, Nima and her crew overpowered the greedy cultivators with a ferocity that left them cowering.
The battle was as chaotic as it was hilarious. Nima's orders rang out, "Grab 'em! Take everything they've got—leave nothing but their underwear!" Her tone was both mocking and triumphant. The evil cultivators, caught off-guard by the sudden counterattack, scrambled to defend themselves, but Nima's underlings were too quick.
In the ensuing melee, Nima and Auri worked in tandem. While Nima's fierce commands and swift strikes sent several cultivators sprawling, Auri swooped in to snatch any valuable items from their pockets. "Chip, chip!" he cried gleefully each time he liberated a coin or a trinket. The spatial ring around his neck buzzed happily with each new deposit, and the cults' expressions turned from smug superiority to stunned disbelief.
Finally, Nima delivered the coup de grâce. With a sly smile, she produced ropes and began tying up the defeated cultivators. "You pathetic, greedy fools," she taunted, "I'm going to hang you on that tree over there so you can reflect on your crimes. Maybe then you'll learn not to mess with Boss Nima's people!" The ropes were tied snugly, and one by one, the cults were hoisted up and left dangling, their only attire reduced to nothing more than their underwear—a humiliating spectacle that left the onlookers from shadows in a mix of laughter and disgust.
As the last of the greedy cultivators swung helplessly in the breeze, Nima turned to Auri. "Well," she said, her tone softening for a moment with a mix of pride and apology, "I'm sorry you had to take that beating. But those bastards will pay for mocking you. They'll remember this day forever."
Auri, his feathers ruffled and his injured wing still aching, mustered a small, defiant chirp. "Chip, chip!" he replied, as if promising that his revenge would be complete once Kent learned of the injustice. His voice, though soft, carried a resolute tone that sent shivers down the spines of those who heard it—even if they understood nothing of his meaning.
