My Secret Billionaire Husband-Chapter 2668 - 2678: He Never Cared In The First Place
As his gaze fell on Rebecca Kelloway, he saw her immediately start to dance, looking up at him with bright eyes, her excited face turning a little red.
"Ashton!" Rebecca waved her hands, "Ashton, will you play with me? I’ll dance for you."
"I can sing too, I’ll sing for you. Would you like that?"
With an intelligence of a three-year-old child, Rebecca’s eyes were now as clear and innocent as a child’s.
Her heart and soul were filled with Ashton Heath.
Other than Ashton, there was no one else in her eyes.
Such a gaze, anyone who saw would likely be moved.
But Ashton Heath remained indifferent throughout, his eyes never showing pity or sympathy for her, even with her current change.
Rebecca’s tragedy was of her own making.
Ashton had always been a cold-blooded person.
He cared for nobody except those he cared about.
No one else’s life and death mattered to him.
Although Rebecca had known him for a long time, and the two of them were childhood sweethearts, his feelings for Rebecca had always been faint.
It was only because they had known each other for so many years that their relationship felt slightly more familiar than others’.
Under such circumstances, Rebecca had tried to interfere with Ashton’s life over and over again.
Whatever little affinity they had, had long since worn away.
He looked at Rebecca’s attempts to please him with a chilly indifferent face, devoid of any expression.
After she had said a series of pleasing words, he didn’t give any reaction. Finally, Rebecca stopped with a puzzled look on her face.
She blinked, her eyes full of confusion. As she looked at Ashton’s cold and distant face, a hint of fear began to show on her face. Biting her lip, she carefully asked, "Ashton, why aren’t you speaking? Don’t you want to play with Rebecca?"
"Ashton, don’t you like Rebecca?"
Although Rebecca could no longer remember anyone else, she still remembered Ashton Heath.
Subconsciously, she still retained a trace of fear for Ashton.
When Ashton remained silent with a cold face, she had always been a little afraid deep down.
Even with amnesia and the intelligence of a three-year-old child, this feeling remained.
"Want to play with me?" After a while, Ashton asked coldly.
"Yes!" Rebecca was stunned at first but then burst with happiness. Her beloved Ashton finally agreed to talk to her. She nodded vigorously, "Yes, yes! Rebecca likes playing with Ashton the most."
"Go seek medical attention first, and after you’re done, come back and play with me." Ashton finally did not reject Regina’s request.
Rebecca’s eyes lit up again, "Really? If Rebecca obediently goes to the doctor, Ashton will play with me?"
Ashton nodded.
"Alright, I’ll go see the doctor now." Ashton’s words worked like magic, causing Rebecca, who had been crying and refusing to listen to Lady Patrice and Regina, to suddenly become very obedient. "Rebecca will go see the doctor now."
Rebecca turned around and urged Regina impatiently, "Regina, Regina, I want to see the doctor now. Hurry up and take me to the doctor."
Standing on the side, Lady Patrice saw her daughter obey Ashton so readily, her face turned green with anger.
Just one word from Ashton could make her daughter so obedient.
As her mother, she wasn’t as effective as someone who hurt her daughter!
