My Perfect Revenge: Flash Marriage With My Vampire Tycoon-Chapter 143: – Tasso –
The white of his eyes drowned in crimson. The clouds above stirred, moving as if under his command. The blue sky smothered in an unnatural storm that began gathering along with the darkness that thickened as if the earth itself stood with him.
The sun tried to pierce through, beams striking through cracks in the cloud trying to burn him at every cost. But these clouds protected him. They covered him. And the ground beneath them started trembling.
Lucian braced himself with his little girl he held.
The three vampires glanced around, fears striking them. "W-what is happening?"
Fernando staggered back, tripping and dropping to the floor on his butt.
Viviana clutched at nothing, looking around in confusion. It was as if an earthquake was about to occur. "Nikolas..." She forced herself to look up at him.
His feet were no longer touching the floor. He was in midair, gazing down directly at Fernando. His eyes were soulless like he had lost himself. Which he had. It was as if the only thing left of him was this vessel that was filled with only one emotion. Revenge, protect and to kill.
"Devil! He’s the devil!" Fernando screamed. "What are you waiting for? Shoot him! Kill him!"
The three vampires aimed their weapons with shaking hands, pulling the trigger and firing.
Every bullet hit Nikolas, and of course he was bleeding. But almost as if he could no longer feel pain, he settled himself to the floor, then began to march towards Fernando.
Right under. Viviana’s frozen gaze, Nikolas picked up Fernando by the throat and before the man could even scream, Nikolas pierced his hand into his stomach, killing him. "You never should have touched what belonged to me. My wife. You never should have laid your hand on and hurt what was mine. Your worst mistake was hurting her. This is your punishment."
Fernando spurted out blood, eyes flickering as pain coursed through him.
"After I die, I will make sure to find you in the after life and finish you off completely. You will never escape me." Nikolas tossed his aside to the floor. His gaze drew over to the three vampires.
They immediately took steps back.
Lucian knew there was no coming back from this. Nikolas was gone. He was no longer himself and what was before them was nothing other than a vessel that held his rage, his need to protect, to save, love, every emotion that he experienced the most right before he gave up on himself to become this.
So, with his child in his hand, he sprinted out and ran, making his way over to Viviana who was growing weaker, starting to lose her consciousness. She’d been shot, bleeding all these while and if this went on for any minute longer, she would die.
He grabbed her the second he arrived close to her, and threw her over his shoulder. "Stay with me. Keep breathing."
He held his daughter and held Viviana while escaping this place at everu cost. Viviana could barely hear whatever he was saying.
He was almost about to reach the car, but then, someone dropped from the sky on their feet in front of him.
Lucian furrowed his brows, eyes blowing wide when he realised who. "Tasso! You bastard."
"For heaven’s sake, can’t you be a gentleman, Lucian? Bastard?"
Lucian glared at him. "What are you doing here?"
Tasso rolled his eyes. "What else would I be doing here? You think I wouldn’t notice this? I mean... look."
He pointed to the sky, and to the wind that was begging to rise higher and higher, whirling turning into some sort of tornado that pulled at trees.
Tasso’s eyes shifted to Viviana. "Oh, poor human. To be caught up in all this."
"Are you here to help or what?" Lucian glared at him. "If you won’t—"
"Go with them. That human barely has any time left before she breaths her last. I’ll handle Nikolas myself, don’t worry about him."
"Tasso, if you hurt—"
"Oh, please," Tasso grunted. "At this point, Nikolas is gone anyway. I’m only trying to save his body for the hope that he may not be gone completely. This is the berserk mode he went into. Even I wouldn’t dare." He shivered.
Lucian didn’t put his trust in this man. He rushed toward the car with the two and settled his daughter in the passenger seat. As for Viviana, he laid her carefully in the back seat. Then he tore off his shirt, proceeding to tie up her wound and stop the bleeding as much as he could.
The change Nikolas had brought to the sky had obstructed the sun and therefore gave him an advantage to grasp on the possibility of saving her. Even if he was a helpeless with Nikolas, the least he could do was save the woman he loved at every cost.
He took a reverse and drove off, speeding off without looking back.
Tasso, who’d walked into the scene, breathed out.
The human who was of course Olive was dead, and so were three other vampires. The blondie was half dead, but somehow he was still breathing, almost like he was unwilling to let go of his life.
Now, Nikolas, the man was bathed in blood. He stood with shoulders rising and falling in heavy breathing.
"You are insane, Nikolas Bastiani." Tasso shook his head, both in awe and disdain. "To sacrifice yourself like this, to give up your own life for a mere human."
The reddish smoke around had settled, dissipating, and the moment it completely vanished, revealing Nikolas in his full form, the blood red faded from his eyes. The light of life in his eyes disappeared and he fell.
Tasso, having expected this, was quick to get to him, catching him before he could fall.
The clouds that had been obstructing the sun also scattered around, letting the bright light descend around once again.
"I hope love doesn’t drive me this insane. I have no desire to end up like you. It isn’t worth it, Nikolas. It could never." He threw his arm over his shoulder and proceeded to drag him away from the sun, towards shelter. "Well, time to call your mother. Only she can help you now. And I don’t even think you’re savable. Your chances of surviving yourself is below one percent."
