My Perfect Female CEO-Chapter 265 - 262: The Male Driver
Chapter 265: Chapter 262: The Male Driver
Ye Fan and Mengyao, the two sisters, all three pairs of eyes turned toward Xu Qianqian, seeking to understand what exactly had happened the previous night.
Although Ye Fan had saved someone, he only managed to rescue Xu Qianqian from the thugs and handed her over to Qiu Wen. Beyond that, he knew nothing of the events.
"I initially attended a party at a classmate’s house, and then planned to visit my cousin without informing my parents immediately, intending to explain afterward. On the way, curiosity got the better of me, and I wandered into a bar. There, a man named Lu Junwen, who claimed to be a big shot from the Fierce Tiger Gang, started pestering me. I had no idea what the Fierce Tiger Gang was and paid him no mind. Unexpectedly, someone tampered with my drink, and when I realized something was off, I immediately escaped. Luckily, I had practiced Taekwondo, which allowed me to take out two of the men before fleeing in panic, with some thugs relentlessly pursuing me."
"I ran and ran, feeling dizzy and realizing that my drink was spiked with sleeping pills. Luckily, the dosage wasn’t high. Otherwise, I’d be in real trouble if caught by those thugs."
"I escaped to a street outside the bar, but the thugs continued to chase and hurl insults at me, though I was too preoccupied to get angry."
"It seemed like the thugs figured I wouldn’t get away, so they lazily chased me with a cat-and-mouse mindset."
"On the street, seeing a car approach, I threw caution to the wind and ran toward it."
"Just when I thought I was about to be hit by the car, it stopped unexpectedly."
"I vaguely saw a man get out of the car. Not giving it much thought, I clambered into the driver’s seat before passing out."
Xu Qianqian recounted the events without adding any embellishments.
The Mengyao sisters listened with their hearts in their throats, realizing how close their cousin had come to disaster.
"And then what? What did the driver do to you? Surely he wasn’t a scumbag too, right? He didn’t do anything indecent, did he?" Chu Biyao anxiously inquired, genuinely worried the driver might have taken advantage of the situation to torment their cousin.
"Quick, tell us the driver didn’t harm you, right?" Mengyao asked with concern.
"Me, a scumbag? Something indecent?" Ye Fan’s mouth twitched at Biyao’s words, feeling a bit frustrated as he thought, "Am I that kind of person?"
"Big cousin, second cousin, don’t worry, I’m perfectly fine now, aren’t I?" Xu Qianqian smiled lightly, adding mysteriously, "The rest of the story gets even more interesting, so listen as I tell you slowly."
"Get on with it." Seeing their cousin playing suspensefully, Mengyao immediately put on a stern face.
"Yes, big cousin." Xu Qianqian playfully stuck out her tongue before continuing, "I didn’t get a clear look at that driver, nor did I see clearly what car I got into. In that situation, I was almost fainting on the road; how could I care about such details? Before passing out, I just prayed the driver was a decent man and wouldn’t do anything unsavory."
"And then?" Chu Biyao prompted eagerly.
"The next thing I knew, it was morning, and I woke up in a big bed. I frantically checked my body and felt relieved to find no signs of being taken advantage of." Xu Qianqian smiled faintly.
The sisters exchanged glances and finally felt completely assured that their cousin was unharmed and hadn’t been blackmailed, which was a relief.
"Who saved you? After all, I should send someone to thank them." Mengyao said softly.
"I really don’t know who saved me," Xu Qianqian replied straightforwardly.
"Are you kidding me? Don’t you even know where you slept?" Mengyao was growing impatient.
"I know where I slept, but I honestly don’t know who saved me," Xu Qianqian replied as if it were obvious.
Mengyao almost jumped with frustration at her cousin’s lack of logic, immediately voicing her displeasure: "Where you slept, was there no one around? Couldn’t you just ask who rescued you? Tell me the truth, or you’ll see how I’ll deal with you if you keep hiding things."
"Big cousin, I really don’t know. I asked at that time but got nothing conclusive," Xu Qianqian said pitifully, "and I was even driven out?"
"Who drove you out?" Chu Biyao was instantly intrigued.
"A woman," Xu Qianqian said.
"So it seems either that woman’s man or one of her male friends saved you," Mengyao said cheerfully. "How about this? You give me the address, and I’ll take care of the gratitude part."
"Why did she kick you out?" Chu Biyao urged from the side.
The most innocent in all this was Ye Fan, who turned his face away, no longer interested in listening to the three of them talk.
"Big cousin, you can’t go to that place. It’s not even accessible to you," Xu Qianqian said helplessly, casting a glance at Mengyao before looking seriously at her other cousin and continuing, "About being driven out, it was all my fault for mouthing off, which angered the two women. From the start, Idol Sister didn’t seem friendly, which I noticed, but Pretty Sister was quite caring and advised me not to get involved in shady dealings. I was so excited to meet Idol Sister, thrilled beyond measure. When the two sisters asked me to leave, I didn’t cling on. I thought of asking who my benefactor was, but Idol Sister impatiently told me to get lost, saying if I intended to marry my benefactor, I should forget it. I unwittingly blurted out, why would a beautiful girl like me give herself to a mere driver? What if the driver was some old man or a trash-collecting beggar? I’d be losing out big time."
"Just like that, I stupidly said these things and ended up in trouble."
"That wasn’t what I meant. My mouth was out of line; both cousins know this."
Xu Qianqian recounted her grievances fully, without hiding anything.
"Your mouth indeed needs a spanking. If one of those women was the driver’s wife, it’s remarkable they didn’t beat you up. Speaking of your benefactor so lightly, what are you thinking?" Mengyao scolded.
Ye Fan observed Mengyao closely, considering whether to say something but ultimately stayed silent.
"Well, I realize I was wrong," Xu Qianqian admitted sheepishly.
"Where did you sleep for the night? Tell me right now. What place could I not go to? Ridiculous." Mengyao demanded loudly.
"A bar," Xu Qianqian replied meekly.
"In that case, I truly can’t go there," Mengyao admitted. She never ventured into such places, except for the time she went to the Gray Wolf Bar with Ye Fan.
