Chapter 13: 13. A dungeon floor of DEATH!

My eyes widened in horror as the monster approaching me shook the floor with every thunderous step it took. The room was dark, but I could see its molten golden eyes gleaming through the shadows.

As it drew closer, my entire body went weak. This thing was huge.

It stood roughly 50 meters tall, supported by four thick, muscular legs. Its body was covered with a rough skin that looked like armor, making it look like a walking catastrophe.

And its head... terrifying. A monstrous, dinosaur-like skull with curved tusks that glowed with searing magma.

I gulped hard.

"System! What do I do!?"

[I've analyzed the terrain. It appears we've fallen into the deepest floors of the dungeon.]

[Escape is impossible unless you defeat it.]

"Yeah? And how the hell do I defeat something that looks like it belongs in a goddamn apocalypse!?"

[You should learn magic. Your PP level is at 800.]

[Unlike normal mages, you don't need to recite spells.]

[Use your imagination.]

I stumbled backward, scared to the bone. Everything was happening too fast!

Desperate and curious, I stretched out my hand and imagined a ball of fire surging from my palm.

To my shock, power flooded my body, and a massive fireball burst to life, flying straight into the monster and engulfing it in flames.

My PP dropped from 800 to 600.

"Yes!" I shouted in excitement. "Feel my wrath, monster! I can use magic!"

But just as I was celebrating, the system's voice cut through my victory.

[This monster is a Tyrant Behemoth.]

[It is immune to fire.]

[Its armor is too thick to be penetrated.]

[No weapon in the world can defeat it.]

As if to prove the annoying system's point, the Behemoth roared, opening its massive jaws to reveal a swirling inferno of molten lava inside.

Then, it spat a giant ball of lava straight at me.

I barely dodged it in time, rolling to the side as the lava obliterated the dungeon wall behind me. It melted instantly.

"Holy shit... one hit from that and I'm dead!" I gasped, sprinting in circles to avoid becoming a pile of ashes. "Any suggestions, System!?"

[There's nothing I can do.]

[This battle is yours. I've given you all the guidance I can.]

[But remember, your power is only limited by your imagination.]

[However, every spell drains your PP. Once your PP hits zero, you die.]

"Thanks for the heads-up. Now I'm even more terrified!"

I was already in pain from dodging and hitting the ground so much. Plus l had a huge wound on my shoulder where those damned wolves l encountered earlier hit me. I had to heal myself before I slipped up and died.

Closing my eyes, I imagined my body fully healing.

The pain vanished in an instant and my wound closed up completely.

But the cost of it was too much... 200 PP.

Now I was down to 400.

Shit.

At this rate, every spell costs at least 200 PP, meaning I could only cast two more spells before I was done for.

Just as I thought PP depletion was my biggest problem, the Behemoth grew tired of chasing me.

It suddenly vomited a pool of lava onto the floor, melting through the stone like butter. The entire dungeon shook violently, and I could hear monsters in nearby chambers fleeing in terror.

Then, the floor beneath me collapsed, causing me to fall downward, the Behemoth falling right behind me.

As if that wasn't enough, the bastard started vomiting more lava mid-air—making sure that when I landed, I'd hit molten death instead of stone.

"It's too smart for a monster!"

Desperate, I imagined a rock to land on—small enough to cost only 50 PP. It appeared right before I hit the lava, saving me just in time.

But I was trapped.

The lava was slowly swallowing my rock, and all the walls around me had crumbled into nothing.

"System... can't I just imagine a dagger stabbing the Behemoth in the heart and end this instantly?"

[You can only imagine things you've seen or heard of.]

[And by that, l mean basic spells, weapons, common abilities.]

[Also, your PP is too low to pull off something that powerful.]

Damn it.

I scanned the Behemoth, looking for anything—anything—that could be a weak point.

And then it hit me.

Its armor-like skin covered everything... except one spot. I imagined a massive, spiked rock rising from the lava...

Right into the Behemoth's balls.

CRACK!

The Behemoth screamed in agony, thrashing violently. Blood poured from between its legs as it collapsed, rolling in pain and shaking the dungeon even more.

I winced. "Sorry, man. As a fellow dude, l know the pain of being hit on the balls. But I gotta survive. I have a Milf goddess to tame."

For a moment, I thought I had won, until the floor beneath us shattered again, sending both me and the beast even deeper into the dungeon.

I crashed hard, pain shooting through my ribs, and l swear, l felt something inside me break.

The Behemoth was still writhing in pain as it kept rolling uncontrollably, causing even more destruction to the dungeon.

"Dude! Stop rolling around before you bring the whole place down!" I yelled at it in frustration.

Of course, it didn't listen.

At this rate, we'd fall all the way to the last floor... I can't afford that. I'll definitely die from hitting from one floor to the other.

[If the monster keeps going, you'll reach the final floor.]

[There, you'll have to face the dungeon's true boss.]

[I suggest you kill it now.]

I sighed. Easier said than done, Mrs System.

My PP was down to 60 after l created that big rock on the creatures balls. If l cast one more spell, I'd be completely drained, and probably die.

Then, a new idea hit me. An idea l was sure wouldn't cost me a lot of PP.

I imagined a bow and a single arrow.

It drained my last 50 PP, leaving me at 10 to survive, but I only needed one shot.

The Behemoth's fiery eyes locked onto me as it opened its mouth, a massive ball of lava forming.

"Oh, hell no."

I took aim at its only weak spot—its ding-dong.

Whoever landed the first hit would win. And I sure as hell wasn't planning to lose.

I let the arrow fly.
