My husband Can Cultivate-Chapter 53 This is reality!
"So, Young Master Gu, you can’t handle him? He’s not giving you any respect at all, is he?" Xuanxuan, the internet celebrity, said with a laugh. "Didn’t you say that everyone in your class is utterly devoted to you?"
Upon hearing this, Gu Tianyang’s expression changed instantly. How dare he embarrass me in front of a woman. This Yang Qi is simply courting death.
Let alone anywhere else, who in Kang City didn’t show him respect wherever he went? Yet today he ran into this scumbag, Yang Qi, who not only called him a stray dog but also refused to show him any deference.
"Get on your feet!" Gu Tianyang roared.
The shout made everyone else tremble in fear. Gu Tianyang was furious—this was real, unadulterated anger. Yang Qi was done for.
Everyone shivered, not daring to utter a single word. They were even afraid to breathe too loudly. Some even covered their mouths, terrified that the mere sound of their breathing would annoy Gu Tianyang.
Yet, Yang Qi remained seated, calmly eating his pastries and drinking his tea as if nothing was happening at all.
Gu Tianyang’s face flushed crimson. The calmer Yang Qi appeared, the more enraged he became.
"I’ll give you one more chance. Get up! Kneel and apologize!" Gu Tianyang’s voice was so cold it sounded as if it had come straight from hell.
Damn it. So what if it’s Yang Qi? A bankrupt one at that. Even if he were the old Yang Qi, once worth a billion, I still wouldn’t give a damn. I’m from the Heavenly Supervision Hall. We oversee the entire world. My father is a high-ranking official in the City Lord Mansion with real power. What damn good is Yang Qi’s money, especially now that he has none?
Yang Qi finally turned his head to look at Gu Tianyang.
"I’m not getting up today. What can you do about it?" Yang Qi asked with a smile.
The cold light glinting in his eyes actually startled Gu Tianyang, who subconsciously took a step back. When he realized what he’d done, shame turned to fury. To think that I was actually intimidated by Yang Qi. It’s unbearable!
"Young Master Gu, talking is useless with someone like him. You should teach him a lesson!" Xuanxuan said as she walked up to Yang Qi.
She picked up a bottle of mineral water from the table, twisted off the cap, and poured it directly over Yang Qi’s head.
"If you don’t comply, next time it won’t be mineral water. It’ll be boiling water!" Xuanxuan said coldly.
This scene stunned everyone. No one had expected that the approachable internet celebrity, Xuanxuan, would have such a domineering side. Is it because Gu Tianyang is backing her up?
Chen Dao hurriedly said, "Yang Qi, Young Master Gu has already been very generous! Hurry up and kneel to apologize! Don’t be so ungrateful!"
Zhang Haixuan chimed in, "Young Master Gu could crush you as easily as an ant. He’s sparing you out of respect for our old school ties. Don’t push your luck. Kneel and apologize now!"
"Apologize!"
"Hurry and apologize!"
"You ruined the whole party’s atmosphere!"
Led by Chen Dao and Zhang Haiquan, many of the former classmates began to turn on Yang Qi.
Zhang Meixi and Zhu Benxiu were both stunned.
What is wrong with these people? What did Yang Qi even do wrong? Was it just because he refused to stand up? It was clearly Gu Tianyang whose words were out of line. It was clearly Xuanxuan who had poured mineral water over Yang Qi’s head. So why are they all turning around and blaming Yang Qi now? Is it wrong to refuse to bow your head? Is it wrong to refuse to act like a dog? What kind of twisted logic is this?
But this was reality, where right and wrong were often just that cruel.
Gu Tianyang had status and position. Even when he was in the wrong, he was right. The bullied were the ones who had to apologize. It was just like those students back in high school who had offended Gu Tianyang and were forced to drop out. They had done nothing wrong. They were the ones being bullied, but because they told the teacher, they were the ones who ended up expelled.
And the very same homeroom teacher who had protected Gu Tianyang back then was now the principal of their high school.
How absurd.
"What’s going on here?" a cold voice rang out.
Everyone turned to look, a flicker of fear in their eyes. The newcomer was a middle-aged woman in magnificent attire. It was Zhao Na, their former homeroom teacher, who was now the principal of the school. Her meteoric rise was rooted in the fact that she had protected Gu Tianyang.
"Isn’t that Teacher Zhao? Welcome!"
"What Teacher Zhao? That’s Principal Zhao!"
Another group of people scrambled to fawn over her. We all live in this city. Our children’s schooling might depend on this Principal Zhao in the future.
The crowd quickly explained the situation to Zhao Na.
Zhao Na immediately strode toward Yang Qi and raised a hand to slap him, but this time, Yang Qi smacked her hand away.
"You dare to block me? Do you know what you’ve done wrong? It’s not easy for everyone to gather like this, and you have to cause trouble and ruin the mood. Especially Young Master Gu! It’s not easy for him to take time out of his busy schedule to see us, and yet you oppose him at every turn. What are your intentions?" Zhao Na shrieked, pointing a finger at Yang Qi’s nose.
"Teacher Zhao, do you know what became of that kid you wronged and had expelled all those years ago?" Yang Qi suddenly asked.
"Why would I care what happened to him? A student like that deserved to be expelled!" Zhao Na stated self-righteously.
"Him," Yang Qi said coldly. "I saw what happened to him with my own eyes because he was from the same orphanage as me. No one stood up for him. He was left with nothing but resentment for this world! Do you feel not even a shred of remorse to this day?"
"What a joke. People like that are the dregs of society," Zhao Na said with disdain.
"You’re finished," Yang Qi said, giving Zhao Na a cold look before turning his gaze to Gu Tianyang. "Get your old man over here to kneel and apologize to me. Otherwise, you won’t be leaving here alive today."
What?! Is this guy insane? He said Principal Zhao is finished? And he’s demanding that Young Master Gu’s father come here to kneel and apologize? He must have completely lost his mind!
Everyone was dumbfounded, including a completely bewildered Zhang Meixi and Zhu Benxiu. What has gotten into Yang Qi? How could he say something so outrageous?
Everyone stood frozen for a full ten seconds before they could process what was happening.
"Yang Qi, are you out of your mind? You can’t even handle Young Master Gu, and you dare to provoke his father?"
"Do you have any idea who his father is? Even if he did apologize, would you dare to accept it?"
"Who do you think you are? Commanding people around, thinking you’re a big shot?"
"You’re just a bankrupt loser, a complete fool!"
Led by Chen Dao and Zhang Haiquan, the group launched a vicious verbal assault, cursing at him without holding anything back.
"Chen Dao, it wasn’t easy for you to reach your current position. Apologize, and I’ll let it slide this once."
"Zhang Haiquan, I won’t hold the past against you. Apologize immediately, or I’ll make sure your company goes bankrupt." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
He went on to name more than a dozen of his former classmates, all of whom had been the most vicious with their insults.
"Hahaha, asking us to apologize? What a joke!"
The crowd roared with laughter, clearly not taking Yang Qi’s threats seriously at all.
Yang Qi then looked at Gu Tianyang. "And you?"
