My husband Can Cultivate-Chapter 24 Xiong Ba Comes to Escort!
Ever since he’d accidentally killed the assassin, he seemed to have lost all pity for such scum. To him, these people could no longer be considered human.
Ye Fei’s family is already suffering so much, yet these bastards are still bullying them. This is outrageous! Simply too outrageous!
He rolled up Ye Fei’s sleeves and pant legs, discovering that his arms and legs were completely covered in scars and welts. Not a single patch of skin was unscathed.
Scum! I’m going to kill him! Yang Qi was absolutely livid.
"Yang Qi, I don’t know what happened to you or how you suddenly got money, but when good times come, you have to cherish them. You can’t afford to provoke that Brother Leopard. If you push him too far, he’ll actually kill someone!" Ye Fei cried out, his body trembling.
Yang Qi could feel Ye Fei’s body trembling and see the terror in his eyes—a fear that came from the depths of his soul. It’s clear just how terrifying this Brother Leopard really is. Absolutely dreadful.
"Son, we see you as our own. You need to leave, quickly. We can’t let you suffer with us!" Ye Fei’s parents were overjoyed to see Yang Qi alive. When they had first heard the news of his death, they cried for a long time over the loss of such a sweet, lively boy. Now, the last thing they wanted was to see him get killed.
"Don’t worry," Yang Qi said with a smile. It was hard to explain. Even if he told them he practiced Immortal Cultivation, they probably wouldn’t believe him.
Just as Ye Fei was about to urge him to leave again, the sound of urgent footsteps echoed through the alley. "It’s over! They’re here!" Ye Fei cried, looking ahead in terror.
More than a hundred men appeared in the alley, each of them carrying a wooden club. The few men Yang Qi had injured were among them. The man in the lead had a leopard tattoo on his neck and looked ferocious and malevolent.
"Who the hell hurt my brothers? Get out here and face your death!" Brother Leopard roared.
His voice was like the roar of a wild beast, scaring many onlookers into fleeing. Nearby residents slammed their doors and windows shut, fearing they would be caught in the bloody aftermath. The explosive shout made Ye Fei’s family tremble uncontrollably. Yang Qi, however, just stood there, his gaze cold.
He practiced Immortal Cultivation precisely so he would no longer have to be spineless, no longer have to swallow his anger. If his best friend and the kind elderly couple who had shown him grace were to be bullied, then what was the point of his cultivation? He might as well be dead.
Seeing Yang Qi, Brother Leopard paused. There was an aura about Yang Qi that made him wary. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but something felt wrong.
"You’re the one who beat up my brothers?" Brother Leopard asked, not making a move just yet.
As the head ruffian in this urban village, the first thing he did every morning was collect money. No one dared to defy him, let alone touch his men. But today, someone had. Not only had this person laid a hand on his men, but he had also been brutal about it. Livid, Brother Leopard had come personally, bringing all his men with him.
"I did," Yang Qi said coldly. "They were bullying the elderly. They deserved it."
"You’ve got a lot of nerve, don’t you? Is Ye Fei your friend? Hmph, I don’t care who you are. You can’t protect them forever. The moment you leave, I’ll make sure all three of them die," Brother Leopard threatened, his expression twisting into a vicious snarl.
"Please, don’t, Brother Leopard! We’ll pay, we’ll pay!" Ye Fei’s parents pleaded desperately. "He’s a relative of ours. The boy is young and impulsive. You’re a magnanimous man, please let him off this one time."
"Heh, I’m not an unreasonable man," he sneered. "Give me one million for my brothers’ medical expenses. Then, this kid can chop off one of his own arms, and the three of you will kneel and give me one hundred resounding kowtows. Do that, and we’ll consider this matter settled."
He had regained his composure, even feeling that he’d overreacted. The kid was just a young guy, who looked to be about twenty-five or twenty-six. How strong could he possibly be? I was really overthinking things.
"One million!" Ye Fei’s family was aghast.
"Where would we get a million? We can’t even pay off our son’s debts by scavenging junk, let alone save any money! Brother Leopard, if nothing else will do, you can take our old lives instead. Please, spare Yang Qi and Ye Fei. They’re still young! They can’t lose an arm!" Ye Fei’s parents cried out.
"Cut the crap! This kid is the one who hit my brothers. What use would I have for your arms?" Brother Leopard said disdainfully. "Kid, get on with it, or I guarantee you and these three beggars will all die here!" he snarled, his face a mask of ferocity.
Ignoring the threat, Yang Qi asked coldly, "Let me ask you, do you send your men to find excuses to bully this family every day?"
"So what if I do?" Brother Leopard scoffed.
"Who told you to do it?" Yang Qi pressed. He didn’t believe Brother Leopard was acting alone.
"Damn, you dare to question me? Since you won’t listen, don’t blame me for getting rough! Get them! Waste these scumbags!" Brother Leopard waved his hand, giving the order.
Just then, a dozen cars roared into the alley one after another, completely blocking the entrance. Startled by the sound, Brother Leopard and his men whipped their heads around to look.
The car doors swung open one by one, and a mass of figures rushed out, quickly surrounding Brother Leopard and his men. The already narrow alley suddenly felt incredibly crowded, and Brother Leopard’s crew was squeezed into a tight huddle.
"What’s going on, Brother Leopard?" one of his henchmen stammered in terror. "There must be hundreds of them, at least! And they’re way tougher than our guys. They all look like they’ve had rigorous training."
"You don’t have to tell me, I can see for myself!" Brother Leopard snapped, his heart pounding in his chest.
These men had definitely undergone special training. Each one was terrifying, and the Killing Aura they radiated was potent enough to make him feel like he was suffocating. It was horrifying.
Yang Qi was also curious. Who are these people who just showed up?
He soon found out. A burly, muscular man, flanked by an entourage, walked in, grinning as he approached Yang Qi.
It was none other than Xiong Ba.
In Kang City, Xiong Ba was an absolute top figure in the Jianghu. Who in those circles didn’t show him deference? In the eyes of someone like Brother Leopard, Xiong Ba was a god; he wasn’t even qualified to serve the man tea.
"Brother Ba! Brother Ba, what brings you here? You should have let me know you were coming!" Brother Leopard scurried over, bowing obsequiously, his body nearly bent at a ninety-degree angle.
"Get lost!" Xiong Ba shoved him aside and walked straight up to Yang Qi. He bowed deeply and said, "Mr. Yang, my apologies for the scare. Xiong Ba has come to ensure your safety!"
"You were following me?" Yang Qi’s eyebrow twitched.
Terrified, Xiong Ba dropped to his knees. "No, not at all! One of my brothers was nearby and saw what was happening, so he called me. Even if you gave me ten times the courage, I would never dare to track you, Mr. Yang."
