My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 98. The Mother Of Dragons.
"We have our winner!!" Lilith announced but while she had announced this, something or someone had slowly stirred awake from a far away location.
Far from the arena.
Far from the noise that shook the entire kingdom and rattled across the skies, there was a cave not too far away from the arena coliseum.
It was not any ordinary cave but was actually a smooth and expanded cave, having stone walls which were really smooth.
Soft crystal light floated near the ceiling as well and a thick fur blanket was laid across a wide stone bed that had been polished until it looked like silk.
Currently, Yvonne was sleeping on the bed.
Yes, it was a female sleeping in this cave, and right now, she was in her birthday suit, without a care in the world of how naked she was right now.
Her breathing was slow and even, and it certainly showed that it belonged to a beautiful woman who had not woken up from her bed in more than a century.
Yvonne, currently had golden horns that curved back from her temples.
Unlike most young demons who had sharp, pointy horns, Yvonne’s horns looked a bit dull from age and her wings were folded loosely at her sides with her golden colored scales shimmering in the evening light.
Yvonne loved how silent her environment was.
And she really liked to sleep a lot
So when the cheering of the demons began in the arena,it did not reach her as sounds at first because she knew no one in this kingdom would dare disturb her slumber.
However, to her surprise, the cheering sounds didn’t stop and it only continued to escalate with every passing minutes.
It continued and it rose higher and higher again, with each wave of cheers carrying loud sounds that continued to disturb her slumber.
Feeling it, Yvonne’s brows twitched and she opened her eyes as her red colored pupils adjusted instantly to her surroundings ..
Yvonne stared at the ceiling for a moment with a blank expression, them she sighed and murmured to herself. "Why is it so loud?"
Yvonne swiftly sat up on her bed and her blanket slid down her waist to settle on her bare hips.
She reached over for a robe and her mountain peaks jiggled as she grabbed the robe before slipping it on.
But then she paused and then she calmed her mind to listen to where the cheering were coming from.
"Yeah!!!!"
Noticing where it was from, Yvonne frowned as she opened her mouth to speak. "Hmm, it doesn’t look like they’re having a festival, so what could be happening at that side of town." she murmured.
"Hmm, are they having a competition?"
Yvonne wondered as she stood up from her bed but by the time her feet touched the cave floor, she was already dressed and her dark colored fabric clung neatly to her body.
She was currently wearing a high collar cloth with long sleeves which made her looked really beautiful and elegant...
Her blonde colored hair twisted itself into a bun as she moved out of her case before vanishing into a tavern.
Yvonne emerged into the tavern which wasn’t really that far from the arena but when she arrived no one was able to notice her presence.
In fact, no one could even see her because to Yvonne time itself had stopped, allowing her to move super fast than anyone else around her.
Yvonne entered the tavern and noticed ale being sloshed down a cup mid-air, allowing it look like a long golden stream pouring into a tankard.
From afar, Yvonne also noticed a demon at a table laughing with his mouth open.
His teeth were bared as his laughter became inaudible to the beautiful dragon.
Also, two patrons seemed to have been frozen mid argument, with their fingers raised while their brows seemed to be knotted as well .
Near a corner, two bodies seemed to be pressed together.
From what the two demons were doing, it seemed like they were both having sex out in the open with their breath mingling with each other and their hands tangled in their clothes.
The female also looked like she was moaning so yeah, they were definitely doing something naughty at the corner of this tavern.
However, Yvonne was already used to things like this cause it happens a lot within the demon continent.
Instead, she simply walked through as her eyes continued to flicker from face to face, assessing everyone within the tavern.
From what she could see right now, it doesn’t seem like the demon realm had changed since she last stepped out of her cave, a hundred years ago.
The demon realm still looked indulgent but a lot louder than she last remembered it to be, but what could have possibly been the reason behind this??
Yvonne wondered as she reached the bar of the tavern.
She noticed the bartender standing with one hand on the tap while his eyes had frozen while he was still blinking.
Then she noticed a tankard beneath the spout which was almost full but the stream coming out of the barrel still hadn’t stopped, so Yvonne took the mug from the bartender before drinking it for herself.
The ale was warm, bitter and poorly brewed, something she was already really familiar with by now.
Recalling this bitter but yet pleasant sensation, Yvonne grimaced cutely.
"Yuck ....it still tastes terrible." Yvonne muttered as she set the empty tankard back under the frozen stream of ale still coming out of the barrel as if nothing has happened to it.
However, only now did Yvonne noticed the projection crystal which was mounted high on the wall with light shimmering across it
And from within the screen, Yvonne noticed two figures standing at the center of a ruined arena with fire and ice scattered all across the arena floor.
She noticed the huge steam as well but when she noticed all these, Yvonne’s eyes narrowed and she stepped closer to the screen to see Aster surging forward with flames coiling around his arms
On the other hand, Astrid countered with his attack with frost which was sharp enough and dangerous enough to counter his attack.
Also, Yvonne noticed how smooth and precise their movements were, despite both of them still being at the lowest power scale possible.
Watching as their battle continued, Yvonne slowly smiled as she opened her mouth to speak. "Vivian... You stubborn little girl."
Yvonne’s gaze sharpened as she stared at the screen but then her eyes glowed as she scanned not only the projection crystal but also the arena as well, and her vision stretched straight to the real battle happening on the arena.
"Oh my. So you’re having two children and yet you did not let me see them."
Yvonne’s fingers curled slightly then she slowly relaxed them.
A cute chuckle escaped her lips as she smiled at the screen. "Well, well, well." Yvonne murmured as she turned away from the crystal.
"It looks like gran gran will be paying her cute little grandchildren a visit very soon."
Yvonne turned to the bar, then she set the tankard neatly in place before placing a single gold coin beside it.
The metal coin rang softly and Yvonne snapped her fingers with a smile.
Time resumed back to normal and the tavern immediately turned noisy once again.
The ale spilled on to the empty tankard and the bartender yelped in shock.
Meanwhile, the laughing demon resumed his loud laughter while the lovers in the corner continued their passionate exercises with giggles and breathless movements
On the other hand, the bartender blinked in surprise as he stared at the empty mug and the gold coin in front of him.
Although it had been over a century since something like this had happened to him in his tavern but without a doubt, the bartender was certain of who could have done something like this, and his hands slowly began to shake as he whispered to himself.
"... No way. The Mother Of Dragons was here?"
Meanwhile, back at the arena, the cheers from the spectators thundered across the entire arena as Lilith announced the winner.
"We have our winner!!"
Lilith’s voice rang out clearly, as it spreads through the steam that was still present across the shattered arena floor.
For a brief moment, everyone remained silent as they listened to what Lilith had to say.
The projection crystals zoomed inward as the mist finally thinned to reveal the state of the battlefield in full.
And now, everyone could see Aster was on one knee, with one hand pressed to the fractured stone and fire flickering faintly around his arm as it slowly died down.
While Astrid had both of her hands braced against the ground.
Her legs were currently trembling as both of her hands supported her weight against the ground with frost creeping outward from her palms.
Neither looked ready to give up, but they were both equally exhausted but still eager to continue once again, and Lilith noticed this.
So, she hovered between them as her gaze moved from one contestant to the other.
She stared at them with an unreadable expression on her face, making it difficult for the spectators to assume who would be announced as ttr champion.
A few seconds passed and Lilith finally announced the winner.
