My Happy Dragon Life With Supernatural Girls-Chapter 83. Demon Youth Tournament [1]: Tournament Items.
Aster examined the items in front of him calmly.
The first one was a black metal token.
It felt warm to the touch, and it was etched with a number along with his name written on it as well.
The second item was a thin crystal band. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
The band was actually transparent, and it felt cold while touching it, but it was actually designed to fit around his wrist.
The third item was actually a small spatial ring with a temporary mark etched on it, to signify its exclusiveness to the tournament.
"These are your items." The small demon official explained. "The first is your identification token. Once touched, it automatically creates a sigil that binds itself to your arm."
Right after he explained this, Aster suddenly felt a tiny sting on his left arm as the sigil appeared on his arm like a tattoo.
"What’s the sigil for?" Aster asked.
"It allows judges and viewers to instantly identify you, and it allows us, the officials, to track your life signs, allowing us to know if you’re alive or unconscious, but if any contestant becomes unconscious during combat, the sigil vanishes, and they’ll be instantly eliminated."
He continued. "The second is a monitoring band, but it’s also a safety net for you and every other contestant."
"How so?"
"If you know your opponent is too much for you to handle alone and you find yourself in a predicament where you can’t escape, you’re free to remove the band from your wrist, and you’ll be pulled out of harm’s way. But mind you, you’ll also be disqualified from participating any further."
"I understand, thank you, but isn’t it weird for you guys to call this a monitoring band when all it does is pull us out of harm’s way?"
"The monitoring band also helps in monitoring your aura output, its stability, and your overall physical condition, so it’s actually really versatile."
He continued. "The last item is your spatial ring, but it limits you to only storing a single weapon. The tournament strictly prohibits switching of weapons mid-battle, and contestants aren’t allowed to use any external storage items as well. This is our own little way of preventing rich nobles from cheating during the tournament."
"In other words, each contender is permitted one weapon."
"Weapon must be declared before Round One begins, and any stored weapons beyond one will be sealed."
Hearing this, the contestants within the hall reacted differently.
While some demons frowned, others began to smirk, and a few others cursed under their breath.
Meanwhile, Aster showed none of these.
He already knew which weapon he would be using, so his mind was pretty relaxed right now, but he suddenly realized something as well.
"What about Conjured weapons? Are they allowed?" He asked.
"Yes, they are, but they count as your single choice weapon." The official replied before turning his attention to Aster’s space ring.
"Your space ring contains emergency rations and a single-use recovery crystal, so make sure you use them wisely."
Aster nodded in understanding before inserting the ring into his finger.
Seeing this, the official walked away, and Aster’s attention drifted outward to what was to come.
But not too far away from him, a tall Capra Demon Prince stood balanced on one leg.
His eyes were closed, and he continuously tried to compress his aura within his body, allowing everyone around him to feel intimidated by how he could have a calm mind to meditate when the tournament was just about to start.
Elsewhere, a blue-skinned demon princess with black hair and horns sat calmly against a pillar as her fingers began to twirl a tiny frost across her arms.
Astrid was currently having an unreadable expression on her face, so no one really knew what the princess was thinking about right now.
Further away, two demons argued quietly with each other.
One was lean and had a sharp eye, while the other had a broad and muscular body.
Both of them seemed to be brothers as they continued to argue until an official noticed them, and his gaze single-handedly silenced them.
It turned out to be the Pyro Demon official, and he stepped forward again to address everyone. "Contenders," he said as he drew everyone’s attention toward him.
"You will now proceed to the waiting zones. You are to remain within your assigned area, but if anyone is caught moving beyond their marked boundaries, they will be penalized immediately."
The moment he said this, a magic circle appeared on the floor, and the runes inscribed on the floor ignited to form glowing pathways that divided the hall into multiple sections.
Invisible barriers also rose to the ceiling, and they separated the contestants into groups.
Aster followed the path in front of him, and he stopped where the light dimmed, which was what everyone else did as well.
He looked around and noticed dozens of demons around his age doing the same thing he did.
Some were taller than him, and others had broader chests than him, despite him having a really fit body right now, but Aster didn’t really care about this.
All he cared about was for the tournament to begin, and from what he could see around him, it seemed like several other demons also felt the same way.
The hall fell silent, and time seemed to stretch as everyone listened to what was going on above.
Just right on top of them, beyond the layers of stones and magic, the spectators in the arena roared in excitement and anticipation of the tournament.
Each contestant could feel it.
They could feel how excited the spectators above them were, and this made some to realize how intense this tournament really is.
But while some were feeling nervous and anxious about the fight, others couldn’t wait to get started, and Aster was definitely one of them as he cracked his knuckles and neck before taking a deep breath.

A/N: Thank you so much for the power stones and golden tickets, everyone. I’m honestly surprised to still be seeing them, and I really can’t stop thanking you guys for your continuous support. You’re the best.
