My Five Bigshot Seniors: I am The Most Coddled Junior!-Chapter 298 - 166: Lin Xian’er Dies! [Second Update]
Just as Lin Xian’er moved, a treasure sword gleaming with a cold light blocked her way. She recognized it as Lan Chi’s weapon, her expression twisted slightly, a trace of cold light flashed in her eyes, and she drew a Bone Sword, slashing towards Lan Chi’s sword.
Seeing Lin Xian’er’s weapon, a trace of surprise flashed in the eyes of Ye Shenglan and the others.
Ye Shenglan’s face suddenly darkened. She already recognized that what Lin Xian’er held was a Demon Artifact, and an Immortal-grade one at that. Coupled with Lin Xian’er’s attire and those tattoos that suddenly appeared on her body, it all hinted at Lin Xian’er’s current identity—a Demon Cultivator!
Logically, Lin Xian’er should have been crippled in her Dantian, with Si Lin personally taking action; it could not be false. Yet Lin Xian’er could still fight, which only meant she had switched from cultivation to Demon Cultivation. Only this way could she continue cultivating and quickly elevate her cultivation to the current state!
Once again, Ye Shenglan felt the sting of Lin Xian’er’s betrayal. She thought her previous worries were unnecessary; Lin Xian’er never needed them!
"You actually switched to the Demon Path, have you gone mad?" Ye Shenglan looked at Lin Xian’er, coldly asking.
"You’re not my master anymore. What path I cultivate has nothing to do with you," Lin Xian’er, who had been dissatisfied with Ye Shenglan for a long time, was resentful that Ye Shenglan did not plead for her when her Dantian was crippled. Upon hearing Ye Shenglan’s words, she coldly retorted.
Ye Shenglan had already realized that Lin Xian’er was no longer the one in her memory, so she wasn’t angry upon hearing Lin Xian’er’s words.
"Since you have already cultivated in the Demon Path, today I will personally clear the portal!" Wen Guiyun had already ordered the eradication of Demon Path cultivators within the Righteous Path forces. Lin Xian’er, appearing at Lingxi Sacred Land, naturally needed to be cleared by Ye Shenglan, "Lan Chi, step aside, let me do it!"
Upon hearing Ye Shenglan’s words, Lan Chi looked at Lin Xian’er, blocked her sword forcefully, and with a flick, exited the battlefield, while Ye Shenglan stood before Lin Xian’er.
Before becoming Lin Xian’er’s master, Ye Shenglan was already in the Half-step Immortal Rank. Now, after more than ten years, her cultivation became even more unfathomable. Even as her disciple, Lin Xian’er was unclear about Ye Shenglan’s cultivation because Ye Shenglan hardly ever acted.
Facing Ye Shenglan for the first time, despite her resentment, Lin Xian’er had mixed feelings.
She was both excited and fearful. Excited to fight Ye Shenglan, yet fearful because for so long Ye Shenglan had been her master, someone she could only look up to. Lin Xian’er was accustomed to being taught and suppressed by Ye Shenglan, harboring a trace of fear.
She wanted to show off, to let Ye Shenglan see how formidable she had become, but Ye Shenglan gave her no chance.
Without even drawing a weapon, Ye Shenglan merely waved a hand, slapping Lin Xian’er’s face. Half of Lin Xian’er’s face immediately swelled with a handprint.
She was stunned by the slap, and just as she recovered and gritted her teeth to stab Ye Shenglan with her sword, Ye Shenglan lifted her hand again, slapping Lin Xian’er on the other side of the face, causing it to swell likewise with a handprint.
With both sides of her face swollen, Lin Xian’er’s appearance was somewhat frightening, though nothing compared to the fierceness in her eyes.
She looked at Ye Shenglan with eyes full of anger and hatred. She had never been slapped like this by anyone before, and it felt even worse than when Si Lin had publicly punished her.
Seeing her expression, Ye Shenglan’s face slightly changed, and she raised her hand to slap Lin Xian’er again.
Next, under the watchful eyes of Zhao Tonghai and Lan Chi, Ye Shenglan slapped Lin Xian’er ten times in a row, her face almost swelling into a pig’s head, with her eyes squished into mere slits, hiding any vicious glare.
"Tsk tsk, Sister Ye’s vigor hasn’t waned a bit," Lan Chi remarked with a playful smile to Zhao Tonghai as they watched Ye Shenglan efficiently handle Lin Xian’er.
Beside her, Zhao Tonghai nodded, clearly accustomed to Ye Shenglan’s ways.
After finishing the slaps, Ye Shenglan paused before her face steeled, exuding a formidable pressure straight towards Lin Xian’er.
Lin Xian’er suddenly felt as though a mountain was pressing down on her, and she instantly fell to her knees, her knees hitting the ground painfully. Yet she couldn’t utter a word, not just because her face was too swollen, but under this immense pressure, even opening her mouth was difficult, let alone speaking!
Ye Shenglan simply watched Lin Xian’er, steadily increasing the pressure, watching as Lin Xian’er’s once-straight back bent under the pressure. Eventually, she lay prostrate on the ground, her face sweating profusely, her clothes soaked through, looking utterly pathetic. She bit her lip till it bled, the taste of blood filling her mouth, yet she could do nothing, not even lift her head.
"To betray Lingxi Sacred Land, to betray me, and still want to destroy the seal, you are truly disappointing!" Ye Shenglan’s voice, devoid of emotion, rang out as she increased the pressure, causing Lin Xian’er to spit out a mouthful of fresh blood.
It was the first time she realized just how powerful Ye Shenglan’s cultivation was!
Scenes flashed in her mind of her first meeting with Ye Shenglan, and how after being rejected by Wen Guiyun, she was almost cast out of Lingxi Sacred Land. It was only Ye Shenglan’s pity that saved her, yet she never truly acknowledged Ye Shenglan as her master!
Lin Xian’er thought about many things as she lay on the ground, her face pressed against the floor. The pain on her face had become numb, yet the pain in her body was unavoidable.
Suddenly, she felt the pressure lift—it was Ye Shenglan withdrawing the pressure. She instinctively wanted to catch a breath, then felt a pain in her chest. She slightly propped herself up, only to find Lan Chi’s sword pierced through her chest, leading her to irresistibly glance towards Lan Chi.
"Sister Ye, that’s too much, using my weapon to kill, couldn’t you have used your own sword?" Although it sounded like a complaint, it was more playful than anything else. Lan Chi waved his hand, and the sword embedded in Lin Xian’er’s chest flew back to him. He pulled out a handkerchief to wipe the blood from the sword, then applied a bit of force, turning the handkerchief into a pile of dust that was swept away by the wind.
"Your weapon is convenient, I didn’t bother taking out mine!" Ye Shenglan gave a nonchalant glance at Lin Xian’er, who was staring at her in disbelief.
Lan Chi was at a loss for words, giving Ye Shenglan a thumbs-up.
Lin Xian’er didn’t expect Ye Shenglan to personally end her life. Realizing she hadn’t completed Gong He’s task, she couldn’t help but glance toward where the door used to be, now a wall with no trace of a door.
