My Dragon King System-Chapter 310: The Battle In Dragonhold
Samael had been in space this whole while, reading through the stars and cosmic bodies using Mocles’ divine ability.
His eyes glowed as he channeled the stolen power, searching through the celestial patterns for any sign of where the dragons had hidden Adam and the others.
But then suddenly he sensed that different divine energy signatures had started showing up at different spots on the planet.
His head titled downward, quickly diverting his attention back to the planet. His glowing eyes narrowed as he felt them appearing one after the other.
One signature. Then two. Then five. Then ten.
More and more divine presences materialized across the world, appearing in scattered locations.
A slow grin spread across his face. "Ah," he muttered to himself. "So you’ve been forced out."
Then he sensed Adam’s signature, the one with the most amount of fragments for him to absorb.
The All-Father’s presence was brighter than any of the others and it radiating from somewhere on the eastern continent.
Samael’s grin widened.
He decided he wouldn’t lose this opportunity any further.
With that, he made a portal and flew through in pursuit at once.
———
After thinning out the fog all over the kingdom, some of the members and mages only affected by the fog had started regaining their fortitude and getting back into battle-ready positions.
Arianna then quickly ran to the aid of the guild members who had gotten wounded. Piers and Katherine.
She raised her hand again, and magic circles appeared over each of them, hovering just above the worst of their injuries.
Elena, who had stood up too, immediately noticed the returned girls, and there was gladness in her face.
But she also noticed Katherine in a pool of blood and quickly ran to her side, casting the healing spell, Goddess Embrace almost immediately.
Although due to Arianna’s magic, their wound holes sealed up as she used mass magic to reduce their size.
Her celestial-level mass magic had worked to compress the damage and accelerate the healing process.
Katherine looked like she was stirring up, then her eyes weakly opened up, and her hand moved instinctively toward her chest, feeling the sealed wound.
But Piers remained still.
Then katherine suddenly remembered, "Piers..."
Her voice went louder as she turned towards his position, "piers piers..."
Arianna and Elena also turned towards his position.
But Fred looked up with teary eyes from where he knelt beside Piers, still trying to feel for a pulse.
And shook his head.
Katherine’s eyes widened in terrifyingly, "no..."

While Arianna tended to the guild members, the battle continued between Laela, Aeris, and Rin against Malachar.
There was a terrific combo between the three women. As if their fighting styles just synced. Each one knowing when to enter and attack.
Laela thrust her spear forward, sending a volley of roots erupting from the ground in rapid succession. They shot toward Malachar like spears launched from a ballista, each one aimed at a different part of her body.
Malachar weaved between them, with her body twisting and bending as she dodged each root by mere inches.
But the moment she evaded one, Aeris was already there.
The Amazon came in her twin blades trying to make another attempt at Malachar, but the Demon Lord leaped backward, narrowly avoiding the strike.
More of Laela’s plant magic roots pursued against the demon lord relentlessly.
They shot up from the ground beneath her feet, forcing her to leap into the air. They lunged at her from the sides, making her twist mid-flight to avoid being impaled.
She landed briefly on the side of a collapsed building, then kicked off again as a root smashed through the wall where she had been standing.
Aeris then made a terrific entrance by running through one of the long massive roots in the most bizarre manner to reach Malachar.
She sprinted up the length of the root as it curved through the air. She used it like a ramp, leaping towards the demon lord.
Malachar spotted her and quickly picked up a sword from one of the dead demon bodies to her side and exchanged in a sword clash with Aeris.
Sparks flew as the two pressed against each other, with their faces only inches apart. Aeris gritted her teeth, pouring all her strength into pushing Malachar back, but the Demon Lord held firm.
The amazon then drew away to let Rin gain entry as she pounced in like a beast.
Rin came at Malachar on all fours, moving with terrifying speed and ferocity as she closed the distance in a heartbeat.
Malachar moved to the side to avoid the pounce, but didn’t react fast enough to fully dodge the unexpected sword that flew past as Rin controlled it telekinetically with steel magic.
The blade shot through the air like a missile, spinning rapidly as it homed in on Malachar’s neck.
The Demon Lord twisted her head to the side at the last possible second, and the blade grazed past her throat in an attempt to kill her.
But instead, it caused another blood gash as it missed the full neck mark.
Black-colored blood sprayed from the wound and Malachar snarled in pain and fury, with her hand flying to her throat as she staggered backward.
And just as Rin was about to attack again by swiping her hand, Malachar caught her wrist.
Rin growled and struggled to pull free, but Malachar’s grip was too strong.
"How is another demon striking at me?!" Malachar said in a furious tone.
Aeris and Another root attack from attempted to make another entrance as Malachar held onto Rin, but the demon lord opened up her clawed teeth in an angry roar that caused a shockwave.
The force exploded outward from Malachar’s mouth, rippling through the air with devastating power, and shockwave sent Rin, Aeris, and the tree roots flying backward.
Rin tumbled through the air, crashing hard into the side of a building.
Aeris was thrown several meters back, skidding across the ground before slamming into a pile of debris.
The roots were torn apart mid-flight, shredded into splinters by the sheer force of the blast.
Laela herself raised her plant magic into a barricade of vines to block the shockwave from further gaining distance towards her and the rest of the guild behind her.
The wounds on Malachar began healing up as three magic circles appeared beside her.
From out of them emerged three extremely large leeches.
Her demonic parasites.
They looked like the ones she had used to take over the minds of the mages back then, but these were far much larger and grew to larger sizes that they were considered humongous monsters.
Each leech was easily the size of a building.
Their segmented bodies writhed and twisted as they emerged, with their mouths lined with rows upon rows of needle-like teeth.
They let out guttural screeches that echoed across the battlefield.
Rin and Aeris repositioned back to Laela as they saw the three large worm-looking beasts appear, with Malachar standing atop one.
The amazon wiped blood from her mouth, and the half demon let out another growled as she crouched on all four once more.
——-
Arianna, who was with the others to the side, turned to see the emerging beasts.
Then she turned back towards Elena and the others and said firmly, "you all should go away from this place."
Elena looked up at her, with her pale face streaked with tears.
"We’ll handle this," Arianna added.
Before Elena could say anything, Arianna then quickly flew back to Laela and the others as they all took battle-ready positions to face Malachar and her three large worm beasts.
——
The women of Ravens Grave weren’t the only ones who had come to Dragonhold’s rescue.
Within various parts of the city, a few gods roamed about, shooting different strong divine magic spells at the demons and clearing their vast multitudes with single blasts.
In the certain district, a god raised both hands toward the sky and a massive magic circle formed above him, spinning rapidly as it gathered power.
Then a large blast golden light descended from the magic circle, crashing down into the streets below, vaporizing entire hordes of demons in an instant.
Their divine power was overwhelming, a force that the lesser demons had no hope of standing against.
This granted the mages some breathing room to recover and watch in awe as divine beings roamed around their city fighting on their behalf.
A young mage who was trying to catch his breath looked up just in time to see a god descend from the sky, landing gracefully in the middle of a demon swarm.
The god raised one hand, and a wave of fire erupted outward, incinerating everything within a fifty-meter radius.
The young mage’s eyes went wide in astonishment.
Even Va, the High God of Order and Justice, was part of these gods fighting on behalf of Dragonhold.
