My Dragon King System-Chapter 309: Counterattack Starts With The Wives Of The Dragon King!
Far above, the meteorite lost its trajectory.
Without Ursula’s magic to guide it, it veered off course and began disintegrating in the atmosphere, breaking apart into harmless fragments that scattered across the sky.

Back at the domain, Aiden, whose mind was connected to everyone in his dimension, had just concluded briefing all of them on the current situation outside.
"This is a ploy from Samael to drag us all out of here," he said. "But if we do nothing, the humans will suffer for it. I’m sending everyone out to fight for the one people who give all of existence a meaning."
He paused then continued;
"Adam, you’ll be Samael’s prime target. I can feel how anxious his mind is right now, so I know that once you’re sent out he will come for you first. I need you to stall as much as you can until I arrive."
There was no word from Adam, but he understood it had to be done. They all did.
And with that, Aiden made every god within his Pocket Domain vanish.
Leaving only the four of them: Laela, Arianna, Rin, and Aeris.
Weapons started to manifest before them. These were the weapons from his Treasury of Artifacts, with the power to effectively kill even Demon Lords.
For Aeris, twin short blades. For Rin, a sword. For Laela, a spear. And for Arianna, a sword.
Aiden’s voice spoke to them directly now, softer than before but no less urgent.
"Dragonhold and the guild are in grave danger..."
———-
Back at Dragonhold, it was catastrophic. Most of the mages had fallen. Within the fog of smoke, Katherine had just pulled out her blade from another demon while kicking it to the ground.
Her breathing was heavy now, with each breath burning in her lungs as she fought to stay conscious.
She could see the bodies of her mages lying all around her, with their faces frozen in expressions of terror.
Kayden, Innis, Bernard, Fred, Oliver and just now even Elena had all fallen now
"Get up," she muttered to herself through gritted teeth. "Get up. You have to keep fighting."
But even as she said those words, another demon lunged at her from the fog. She coughed, trying to hold her breath while fighting through the fog’s haze.
Then she heard it.
The sound of steel piercing through flesh, and her head moved towards its direction.
A demon had just stabbed Piers in the gut, causing him to gush blood from his mouth.
"Piers!" Katherine yelled.
She watched as Piers staggered backward, his eyes wide with shock and pain. His hands moved to the wound in his stomach and blood poured between his fingers.
His mouth opened as if to speak, but only a choked gasp came out.
The demon twisted the blade cruelly before ripping it free.
Piers collapsed to his knees, then fell forward onto his face, with blood pooling beneath him.
"No!" Katherine screamed.
She took a step toward him, with her blade half-raised and her mind screaming at her to move faster and try to save him.
But in that moment of distraction, Malachar had appeared behind Katherine and stuck her clawed hand right through the captain’s chest from behind.
Katherine gasped, with her eyes going wide as she looked down at the clawed hand protruding from her chest.
Blood poured from the wound, soaking through her armor and dripping onto the ground below.
The pain hit her all at once. A white-hot agony that tore through every nerve in her body. Her legs gave out beneath her, and only Malachar’s hand kept her upright.
"Worrying about others when death knocks at your door," Malachar said. "You humans will always be frail and weak."
Katherine’s vision dimmed and world around her faded into darkness.
Malachar withdrew her hand as blood gushed out of katherine, letting the captain’s body crumple to the ground.
Is this it? her last thoughts whispered. Is this how it ends?
Then, all of a sudden, in that darkness of the fog were two glowing lights. But these lights were magic circles. One was green, the other golden.
And they were from magic circles at the hands of Laela and Arianna, who just emerged, walking through that fog without feeling the effects of it like the others.
The fog parted before them like a curtain being pulled aside, and on their faces, were expressions of fury.
Malachar looked at them both with narrowed eyes, wondering why they were not affected.
Arianna raised the hand with the golden magic circle, and the purple fog in the immediate area and the kingdom at large started to thin out.
The effect was almost immediate.
The thick, suffocating mist that had blanketed Dragonhold began to pull apart, thinning and dispersing as though being sucked away by an invisible force.
Her mass magic, which was currently at celestial level, was thinning out the fog.
Mages who had been paralyzed on the ground began to stir as the black veins on their bodies receded slowly.
And while she did that, Laela yelled, "Get away from them!" thrust her hand with the green magic towards the demon lord of dread.
Several massive and thick roots extended from the ground and dug into all the demons around.
They tore through demons with brutally, impaling and lifting them high into the air. The creatures shrieked as the roots twisted and coiled around their bodies, squeezing tighter and tighter until their bones cracked, and their flesh burst.
One root shot forward like a spear, piercing through three demons at once before slamming them into the side of a building.
Malachar was quick and weaved through all the thick roots sprouting out violently.
She twisted her body sideways as a root shot past her head, then leaped into the air as another erupted from beneath her feet.
She spun mid-air, letting her clawed hands slash through a root that came too close, severing it cleanly in half.
And while the Demon Lord of Dread weaved through, Aeris, moving at an insane speed, quickly caught up and made the attempt to attack from the blind spot with the twin blades she had just received from Aiden.
Aeris was a blur of motion, and her legs pumped furiously as she closed the distance in less than a heartbeat.
She came at Malachar from behind, aiming for the base of her neck with one blade while the other slashed toward her spine.
Malachar’s sight caught her quick entrance on time and made quick body movements to avoid the blade.
But Aeris was fast.
And so, although Malachar managed to move her body away from the killing blow, she sustained a cut by the side of her arm which made her bleed demon blood.
Malachar hissed in pain and took more distance away, with gritted teeth.
Her eyes burned with fury as she glared at Aeris. "You’ll pay for that," Malachar snarled.
Rin had also emerged, but this time she had gone full demon transformation and was on all fours with a growl.
Her hands and feet had become clawed,as she crouched low like a predator ready to pounce.
The sword she was given floated to her side, suspended in the air via her steel magic connection.
Then Laela pulled the spear from her side and twirled it before taking a stance.
The weapon spun gracefully in her hands before she then pointed the tip directly at Malachar.
Her green magic circle still glowed brightly in her left hand, and her expression was one of absolute determination.
Then she said, while staring at Malachar who stared back:
"Starting now, we’ll be fighting back!"
