My Disciples are Too Idiotic-Chapter 438 - 301: Holy Shit, Is the Demon Sealing Wave That Cool? (Please Subscribe)_2
"F*ck, an instant kill is possible?"
A player whose arm had been pierced by a ray stared, heart still pounding, at the dozen or so people collapsed in front of him, filled with utter dread. This thing was way stronger than any Boss they’d ever encountered. The Sea Race? The Demon Race? Compared to this eerie tiger, they are all brothers!
As soon as the first eye fired its ray, the other eyes also began to spin rapidly, and then beams shot out in all directions. Even the members of Lingxiao Hall, who were merely observing, were startled by this scene. When a ray flew toward them, they immediately dodged. That was a close call; they had nearly been caught in the crossfire.
"Damn it, can this even happen? We’re just here to watch, and we get dragged into it?" Abbess, Don’t Love Me exclaimed in horror. "This Boss has quite a wide attack range! What do you all think? Can we still take this on?"
Junlin crouched behind a large boulder and said in a deep voice, "We can’t handle it. This Boss can reflect all damage. It’s not going to be easy to deal with. I’m afraid we’ll have to use the Demon Sealing Wave to seal it."
Several of them knew the Demon Sealing Wave, but Dung Beetle from Wood Leaf Village knew it as well. And Dung Beetle had already prepared the items for the Demon Sealing Wave; he could seal this eerie tiger at any moment. Clearly, they had no chance with this Boss.
"Let’s pass on this Wild Boss for now." Junlin sighed. "This Mountain Range is big enough. We’ll look elsewhere. There shouldn’t be just this one Wild Boss."
The rest of the Lingxiao Hall members nodded in agreement. There was no need to stubbornly stick around this one Boss, especially since the players from Wood Leaf Village had already set their sights on it.
Noticing that the people from Lingxiao Hall had left, Dung Beetle finally breathed a sigh of relief. At least his current rivals were gone. Now he could focus entirely on dealing with this eerie tiger.
Purple rays flew out one after another. As the eerie tiger continued to pounce, a large number of players from Wood Leaf Village were swept by the rays and sliced in half. In an instant, the entire Mountain Forest was littered with casualties; Wood Leaf Village had lost nearly half its players.
"Boss, we can’t handle it!" Steady as an Old Dog yelled as he quickly dodged one ray, then swiftly hit the ground to evade another.
As long as that eerie tiger moved, the players could hardly do anything but passively dodge. There was simply no way to block those rays.
Dung Beetle exhaled sharply and said gravely, "Leave the rest to me."
He had indeed underestimated this Boss. Who would have thought this eerie tiger could reflect damage and that the eyes on its body could shoot rays that penetrated everything? The players stood no chance against this eerie tiger.
Immediately, Dung Beetle leaped to a high point. He fixed a bottle between some rocks, tucked a yellow talisman paper into his sleeve, and raised his hands high. A faint breeze stirred behind him, then began to gather and grow stronger. The mouth of the porcelain bottle in front of him emitted a gentle suction force.
"Demon Sealing Wave!" Dung Beetle shouted.
The suction force instantly intensified. As he aimed his hands at the eerie tiger, the force enveloped it. In the blink of an eye, the suction became visible. It spiraled and rotated, violently pulling at the eerie tiger and twisting its body. Even the rays shooting from its eyes began to distort. The rays, which should have been straight, started to twist and turn under the influence of the suction force, wrapping around the eerie tiger’s body.
"ROAR—"
Sensing the danger, the eerie tiger struggled frantically, but no matter how hard it fought, it couldn’t break free from the immense force. With the rays completely contained, the surviving players finally breathed a sigh of relief. Looking up at the distorted figure of the tiger in mid-air, the players couldn’t help but gulp nervously.
"Turtle, is this seriously Boss’s trump card?"
"Did Boss just yell ’Demon Sealing Wave’? The one from Dragon Ball that seals Great Demon King Piccolo?"
"So cool! This move is just too awesome! It’s the first time I’ve realized our Boss is this incredible."
"Look, quick! The Boss is about to be sealed by our Boss!"
"..."
The suction relentlessly pulled the eerie tiger towards the mouth of the bottle. The eerie tiger, once the size of a small hill, was now, under the pull of this force, about the size of a normal player. Not only that, but as it drew closer and closer to the mouth of the sealing bottle, the eerie tiger’s body continued to shrink. It wasn’t until the suction finally pulled it completely into the bottle’s mouth that the force dissipated entirely.
Dung Beetle then quickly sealed the bottle and stuck the prepared yellow talisman paper on top. With the conclusion of his Demon Sealing Wave, a System prompt appeared before him.
[Sealed the Hundred-Eyed Evil Tiger, awarded 5,000 Contribution Points!]
Dung Beetle felt a tightness in his chest, as if he were about to cough up blood. Five thousand Contribution Points? This was a Wild Boss! It had wiped out more than half their people. Was it really only worth this many Contribution Points? This was a huge loss! To think that sealing such a Boss would only yield 5,000 Contribution Points. So many players had died. Resurrection cost 100 Contribution Points, meaning these 5,000 points could, at best, revive fifty people. A truly bloody loss!
However, as the Demon Sealing Wave ended, a sensation of weakness began to spread throughout his body, as if something had drained all the Spiritual Qi and strength from him. Thinking about the description of the Demon Sealing Wave, Dung Beetle couldn’t help but feel a lingering fear. Sealing such a Wild Boss took so much effort. If he were to seal something even stronger, it might actually be lethal. Sealing something once could mean dying once; this was way more intense than the Eight Gates Escape Armor. With the Eight Gates Escape Armor, opening the eighth gate meant certain death, and opening the other gates also came at a cost. The full-body pain afterward was unbearable. And now this. With the Demon Sealing Wave, just using it to seal something could lead to death. How had the game become so unfriendly all of a sudden?
Dung Beetle was sweating profusely, slumped down and gasping for air; he didn’t even have the strength to sit up. Steady as an Old Dog and the others hurried over. Seeing Dung Beetle drenched in sweat, they couldn’t help but suck in a sharp breath of cold air.
Was the energy consumption of this move really that great? Dung Beetle’s power level was, after all, second only to the top player. If even he had to expend so much using the Demon Sealing Wave, who would dare use it lightly in the future? Wouldn’t that just mean waiting for death after using it?
"Boss, are you okay?" Steady as an Old Dog and the others hurriedly stepped forward to help Dung Beetle up. "Is the side effect of the Demon Sealing Wave really that severe? Boss, you look completely exhausted."
Dung Beetle shook his head. "A huge loss. This Boss is only worth 5,000 Contribution Points. That just means it was a minor Boss."
Five thousand Contribution Points—isn’t that just what a minor Boss is worth? Killing fifty Nightmares would yield the same reward, and the cost wouldn’t be nearly as steep. This Fifth Test Version is really stacked against the players.
"Boss, maybe it’s better to use the Demon Sealing Wave less from now on. It feels just as much of a trap as the Eight Gates Escape Armor," Steady as an Old Dog said with a grave expression.
The downsides of the Demon Sealing Wave were too obvious. Once the seal was complete, it meant either death or total exhaustion. If enemies were to appear at such a time, even if they managed to seal an eerie creature, wouldn’t death be what awaited them? Encountering a major Boss might yield a greater profit, but if it was just a troublesome lesser monster, wouldn’t they suffer a massive net loss?
"Indeed," Dung Beetle nodded seriously and explained, "I wouldn’t recommend you guys learn this either. This thing is too impractical. The new Advanced Five Elements Technique, however, is pretty good. You should all go buy and learn some of that later. Get some Items too, if possible. But give up on something like the Demon Sealing Wave. It’s too much of a rip-off!"
