My Dao is Spending Spirit Stone: Our Sect Leader Is too OP and Rich!-Chapter 32: How Dare You Marry My Daughter?
Chapter 32 - How Dare You Marry My Daughter?
Li Xun went with Li Shen to the third Pavilion, to meet with Ruo Fei. There, they saw that Ruo Fei's condition was much better than before, thanks to the Age-Saving pills Li Shen had given her and the large supply of pure spiritual energy from the celestial-level spirit stones.
"Mother?" called Li Xun, his eyes glazed over.
Ruo Fei gasped, then turned her head to the side and saw Li Xun standing beside Li Shen. Li Xun hurriedly ran from the wooden bridge to enter the pavilion, then hugged Ruo Fei's body deeply.
"Xun'er?" greeted Ruo Fei.
"I'm glad to see you're much better when you're here, Mother."
Li Shen smiled faintly. He also stepped into the pavilion and stood near them. Ruo Fei's loyal servant looked at the situation. She made her leave, not wanting to disturb the warmth of her master's family.
"Your body is warm, your face also looks bright. Did Father do anything for you, Mother?" asked Li Xun, Ruo Fei smiled.
The woman raised a hand and brushed Li Xun's hair behind her ear. That's right! Li Shen had done a lot to recover her condition. In these two months, Ruo Fei was much more energetic than before.
"Yes. Your father has done a lot for me. So, you shouldn't worry about Mother's condition here," Ruo Fei replied, gently.
Li Xun nodded, glanced gently at Li Shen, then looked back at her mother. If indeed her father could ensure Ruo Fei's safety and condition, then Li Xun would never feel any objection to letting herself be separated from her mother.
"I'm glad that our family is back together again, just like before," Li Xun said, wiping the happy tears from her eyes.
Li Shen cleared his throat. He told them that he was here and would not leave them again. Li Shen also explained to Ruo Fei about his next plan.
He showed Ruo Fei the Li Family's auction invitation token. She stretched out her hand and accepted it, clearly seeing the list of materials to be auctioned there.
"I don't know what the name of the eighth-grade pill is. If it is indeed useful for you, then I will buy it," Li Shen explained.
Li Shen patted Ruo Fei and Li Xun's shoulders lightly, taking turns looking at the two closely.
"My purpose is the Rain Pearl Essence Liquid material. If I've obtained that, then I only need one item left to start refining the pill," Li Shen said.
"Don't push yourself too hard, Li Shen. I don't want anything bad to happen to you," pleaded Ruo Fei, looking sad.
"You have nothing to fear. No one can harm me in the mortal world. If there is, they would have to call the Immortals to come down here and defeat me," Li Shen replied.
The answer Li Shen gave was enough to make Ruo Fei and Li Xun's hearts relieved. They knew Li Shen's strength was much stronger than them, perhaps beyond what they had imagined. Still, Li Shen had to be cautious of any possibilities.
"I understand," Ruo Fei said.
Li Shen's attention was diverted to the side, looking at his daughter who currently held the position as the Li Family Head.
In Li Shen's opinion, auctions didn't always end well, especially if there were greedy and ruthless practitioners. They would pursue Li Shen and Li Xun, if they failed, they would target the Li family residence.
The man lightly patted his magic pouch, bringing out a sea-blue colored token with an azure dragon pattern inside. Li Shen handed it over to Li Xun.
"What is this?" asked Li Xun.
"I call it the Azure Dragon Thunder Plate. I put several 7th-level cultivation techniques into the plate, both defensive and offensive ones," Li Shen replied.
"Leave the plate to the elders and send them back. Once you arrive at the Li family residence, activate the plate with their spiritual energy, then I can guarantee that no practitioner under Soul Ascension can destroy it."
Li Xun was shocked. If what Li Shen said was true, then the plate Li Xun was holding would be the best cultivation defense that the cultivator family in Gong city had ever had. It would increase the Li Family's prestige and boost their confidence.
"Okay. I understand, Father."
Li Xun said goodbye, she flew away leaving the third pavilion, leaving Li Shen together with Ruo Fei. Ruo Fei stepped beside Li Shen, both of them looking towards the outside of the pavilion.
"I'm glad he has grasped his duties well, as the Li family's head."
"Hufft."
"It should be Li Nan who holds that position, not Li Xun," Li Shen lamented.
"If not because of the conflict in the past that took his life, there might be three people here who would take good care of you," Li Shen explained, turning his head.
"What has happened, let it happen. Perhaps, it is heaven's fate for him, we have no power against heaven's rules," said Ruo Fei.
"Uhuk!"
Li Shen turned his head, seeing Ruo Fei coughing again while holding her clean handkerchief. Li Shen helped Ruo Fei to rest, her maid came back and said that she would take care of Ruo Fei.
"Get some rest, Ruo Fei," Li Shen pleaded.
"Be careful, Li Shen. You must promise to come back to me," Ruo Fei said.
The man nodded coldly, his right hand continuing to grasp Ruo Fei's hand tightly, "I promise to come back."

The next day.
Qing capital.
Li Shen left with Li Xun. They did not come in a horse-drawn carriage, but rather flew with spiritual energy —like other practitioners.
It was easy for them to enter the city without being checked. What Li Shen first saw was the bustling city, different from Gong or Wei City.
Qing City was circular in shape, guarded by solid walls like a fortress. Although it was confined, the activities within the city were going well.
"Come here! Look at the items you want to buy."
"We have third and fourth level cultivation pills available. If you take them, I can make sure you get the enlightenment to break through the realm."
"Look at this sword! Isn't it great? It is said that this sword used to belong to a legendary practitioner in the Yan Kingdom's glorious days. Now, you are very lucky if you have it."
Like an unexpected fortune, the sellers continued to offer their goods to the practitioners who came to visit the city.
The number of practitioners who came was beyond what they had imagined, perhaps because there was a Palace Auction which they were curious about and wanted to participate in.
"They sell common items. It's only useful for practitioners in the lower realms," Li Shen said.
Li Shen and Li Xun walked out of the place, stepping together towards Qing Palace, where the auction would be held. Up ahead, Li Shen saw that Qing Palace was on a flying hill with hundreds of stairs to climb to the top.
There were a total of three palaces on the three flying hills, one large palace adorned with luxurious gold-colored stone walls, with the other two palaces being red in color.
Li Xun explained to her father that the Golden Palace was where the King and Queen of the Qing Kingdom lived, while the two palaces were lived in by their children.
'With these luxuries, it's no wonder the Qing Palace is respected by all the practitioner families in the entire Qing Yan Kingdom,' Li Shen explained.
"Xun'er?" someone greeted from behind.
Li Shen sharpened his eyes and looked behind him. There was a man in a green robe coming towards Li Xun, he had a regular face with his black hair. He seemed to come with two elders on his right and left.
"Ping Ho?" asked Li Xun, startled.
'Ping? Is he the Young Master of the Ping Family?" asked Li Shen.
"Woah! I didn't expect to meet you here. I kind of feel lucky," replied the young man, rudely touching Li Xun's shoulder.
"W-Wait! You can't be too-"
"Are you the son of the Ping Family in Gong City?!" insisted Li Shen.
With his best strength, Li Shen brought gravitational pressure down on Ping Ho and the two elders who came with him. They were instantly helpless, hit by the gravitational pressure forcing them to kneel down.
"How dare you touch my daughter?!" said Li Shen.
"D-Daughter? Wait! He's... your father?" asked Ping Ho, his voice trailing off.
Li Xun panicked. She tried to calm her father down by telling him that Ping Ho was a good person. She and Ping Ho had been friends for a long time, and Ping Ho had even helped the Li Family a lot.
However, Li Shen's protective attitude could not be stopped by Li Xun's words alone. Ping Ho must prove that he is worthy of Li Xun.
Li Shen stretched his hand forward, still activating the gravitational pressure. The other practitioners on the city's main street avoided the Nascent Soul clash.
"If he's worthy of you, he should be able to withstand this pressure," Li Shen replied, coldly.
"Fellow Daoist. Don't be so rough with my son," said a middle-aged man, wearing the same green robes as Ping Ho.
Li Shen's attention was distracted, seeing that the Ping Family Head's cultivation base was at the Nascent Soul intermediate stage. Not wanting to prolong the matter, Li Shen swung a hand and dispelled the magic pressure.
Ping Ho could breathe a sigh of relief, standing shakily while trying to catch his breath again. Patriarch Ping laughed out loud at the sight of his son being subdued by simple magic pressure.
"Thank you for your generosity, Fellow Dao. The Ping Family will always remember this," said Ping Wu, Head of the Ping Family.
"Hufft, it's finally over," said Li Xun.
Ping Ho stood up, then pointed sharply at Li Shen, as if to vent his anger. But something happened surprisingly.
The young man immediately knelt in front of Li Shen with his round eyes, looking at Li Shen hopefully.
"Father-in-law, can I marry Xun'er?" asked Ping Ho, Li Xun sighed while tapping her forehead, confused.
Li Shen was taken aback with rounded eyes, "Do you want me to refine your soul?"
