My College Teacher is My Children's Mom-Chapter 690 I Want to Marry Your Daughter!
Returning to the living room, he saw Bao lying on the couch watching TV. Her feet were not only being warmed by her grandfather’s hands but were also covered with a piece of clothing.
Lin Feng frowned. "Sit up properly while you watch!"
Bao sat upright, and Lin Dashan hurriedly found her a hand-warming pouch. "Here, put your little feet in here so they won’t be cold."
Bao gave a sweet smile. "Thank you, Grandpa. You’re the best!"
Lin Dashan beamed, his face full of kindness. "What do you want to eat? Grandpa will open it for you."
Bao pointed to the potato chips. "I want to eat this!"
Lin Dashan cheerfully went to serve his beloved granddaughter.
Lin Feng frowned again. "Dinner’s almost ready. No snacks!"
"Also, you should do things yourself," he continued. "Grandpa is getting on in years. You should be taking care of your grandparents, not the other way around!"
Lin Dashan shot his talkative son an annoyed glance while opening the bag of chips. "It’s alright. She’ll just have a few. We can seal the bag and save the rest for later."
Bao quickly laid on the flattery. "Grandpa is the best!"
What more could Lin Feng say?
He went to the kitchen to give Zhou Cuilan a heads-up, only to find that she was also unhappy with him.
"I know, I know. Just leave after dinner and go mind your own business."
Are they kicking me out?!
At the dinner table, his parents served Bao and even fed her, forcing Lin Feng to suppress his anger. They were getting old, and sometimes he couldn’t bring himself to lecture them. It was all up to Bao to be more self-aware. But Bao, having always been the darling of the family, was used to being pampered.
On the ninth of the month, report cards were distributed during the parent-teacher conference. When the report card came, Bao got her wish: perfect scores in both subjects.
「On one unremarkable afternoon.」
A guest arrived at the house: the second son of the CEO of a famous luxury brand, a foreigner who called himself Shao Yang.
Due to Tian Tian’s line of work, Lin Feng knew more about luxury brands than the average person. He was privy to inside gossip that even some media outlets weren’t, such as details about this top-tier luxury family. Lin Feng had specifically researched them because Shao Yang had once openly pursued Tian Tian, only to be rejected.
He was one of Tian Tian’s many suitors, surpassing his competitors by a long shot in terms of wealth, education, and family background. Of course, for public figures like the second sister and Tian Tian, there were few such rumors. Lin Feng didn’t take them to heart; he trusted his children wouldn’t hide anything significant from him.
Shao Yang was one of the heirs to a top luxury brand family, with an older brother, a younger brother, and a younger sister. His older brother had no interest in the family business and had become a painter, completely engrossed in his art. The younger brother was a typical playboy, entangled in complicated relationships with starlets and models. His sister, a musician like Tian Tian, had returned to work at the family company after graduating. Having invited Tian Tian to many events as a junior colleague, it was no surprise that she was how Shao Yang had gotten to know Tian Tian.
It was widely rumored that the title of heir would eventually fall to Shao Yang. Sure enough, on January 1st of that year, Shao Yang had officially taken the reins, leaving him just one step away from becoming the successor.
"Hello, sir. I’m Shao Yang, a friend of Tian Tian’s."
Lin Feng gestured for the guest to enter. "Please, come in!"
Shao Yang stood at 1.88 meters, slightly taller than Lin Feng. Thanks to regular exercise, his physique was impeccable. He was extremely, extremely handsome, having inherited all the best features from his parents, and he frequently topped lists of the most handsome heirs. Not only was he handsome, but his capabilities were also widely recognized. Most importantly, he was very low-key and wasn’t involved in any scandals. Aside from boldly proclaiming that Tian Tian was his first love and that he wanted to marry her, he had never shown such dedication to any other woman.
Lin Feng took great pride in his daughter’s excellence. No matter how outstanding Shao Yang is, my daughter is still the best! And I won’t hear otherwise!
Following Shao Yang was a middle-aged man carrying an assortment of gift bags, all emblazoned with luxury brand logos. Lin Feng had no intention of accepting them and gave the bags a cursory glance. "Are you looking for Tian Tian? She’s not home; she’s at the company right now."
Shao Yang quickly clarified his intentions. "I didn’t come today specifically to see Tian Tian. I actually came to... meet you and Auntie."
Shao Yang hesitated before calling him "Uncle." This man looks even younger than I do!
Lin Feng invited them to sit down while he went upstairs to get Zhang Yuxi. Zhang Yuxi hated taking days off but had decided to sleep in until she woke up naturally. She was still in a daze.
"Honey, Tian Tian’s rumored boyfriend is here."
Zhang Yuxi gasped and sat up. "Tian Tian’s rumored boyfriend? Who?" A moment later, she frowned. "Is he here to get our approval for them to date?"
Lin Feng suspected the same. "Regardless, we’ll definitely stand by Tian Tian. There’s no room for discussion."
Zhang Yuxi quickly got ready, applying her makeup and urging Lin Feng to get spruced up as well. Lin Feng changed into a casual suit that made him look even more striking, mature, and charming. Zhang Yuxi, meanwhile, chose a cool-toned makeup look, a long winter dress, and accent jewelry. She looked stunningly elegant, with a powerful, intimidating presence.
As the couple came downstairs, Shao Yang quickly stood up and greeted them a bit stiffly.
"Greetings, Uncle and Auntie!"
Zhang Yuxi just hummed in acknowledgment and sat down, silently observing him. In contrast, Lin Feng was all smiles and amiability, starting a casual conversation with Shao Yang.
Shao Yang was no insignificant figure, but he couldn’t see through the kindly smiling, polite man before him. After a few exchanges, he bluntly stated his intentions. He wanted to pursue Tian Tian and hoped to get their approval.
Zhang Yuxi, who had been relatively quiet, finally spoke. "That’s a given. As long as Tian Tian agrees to date you, we won’t stand in your way."
"Whatever choice she makes, we will support her unconditionally!"
Lin Feng nodded in agreement beside her, smoothly segueing the conversation to Shao Yang’s family. People say relationships between equals are the most harmonious; a power imbalance is bound to cause friction. The idea of matching social status might sound old-fashioned, but it wasn’t entirely without reason.
"Your family is considered top-tier nobility, with countless social obligations," Lin Feng said. "Tian Tian has an easygoing personality; she doesn’t like that sort of thing."
Shao Yang’s reply was utterly sincere. "My parents won’t interfere with my marriage. After we’re married, she can continue to live the life she wants. My parents have met Tian Tian and are very pleased with her. My sister especially admires her character, and my brother also sings her praises. They all hope I can succeed..."
They talked for a while, and Lin Feng noticed it was approaching noon. "Well, it’s almost lunchtime. Why don’t you stay and eat with us?"
Shao Yang’s face lit up with joy, and he accepted without hesitation. "Oh, won’t that be too much of a bother?" he asked, then quickly added, "I’m a good cook. I even took special lessons..."
As he spoke, he was already heading toward the kitchen, eager to try his hand.
The couple exchanged a look. They had only been making a polite offer.
Zhang Yuxi sighed. "We can’t handle this. Your daughter needs to sort it out."
Lin Feng thought the same.
When such an outstanding young man, flawless in every respect, earnestly and fawningly tells you, "Uncle, Auntie, I want to marry your daughter! I came to get your blessing!"... what was he supposed to say?
Look at him. The young man was already in the kitchen, tying on an apron and rolling up his sleeves, ready to show off his culinary skills.
"Uncle, Auntie, you have to try my cooking!" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
The couple was speechless.
Lin Feng called Tian Tian. "You need to come home. Shao Yang is here." His tone screamed, *Help me, help me!*
Tian Tian replied, "...I’ll be right back!"
The second sister had been busy until lunchtime and was planning to go home for a free meal; takeout was just too awful. "Shao Yang went to our house?" she asked, blinking. "What’s he up to?"
Tian Tian simply said, "No matter what happens, Mom and Dad will definitely be on my side."
The second sister nodded. "Yeah, we’ll all stand by you."
