My Billionaire Exhusband Grovels Me After Divorce-Chapter 864 - : Qiao Haidong Fell Ill
Chapter 864 -864: Qiao Haidong Fell Ill
Lu Lingche looked at her with a sense of helplessness, “You don’t have to rush to kick me out. Kicking someone out as soon as you get the villa, aren’t you being a bit too heartless?”
Qiao Yin blinked her eyes, “It was you who insisted on giving it to me, not me asking for it from you. If you regret it now, I don’t want it, and you don’t have to come over anymore.”
Lu Lingche ruffled her hair, messing up her originally smooth hair, “I don’t regret it, happy birthday, I’m leaving.”
After saying that, he really turned around and walked out.
Qiao Yin breathed a sigh of relief, and her tense nerves relaxed.
Every time she faced Lu Lingche, she would unconsciously go into battle mode, not wanting to lose to him.
She stood by the window, watching as Lu Lingche, accompanied by his assistant, left the hospital lobby and headed towards the parking lot, her gaze slightly dazed.
She was now somewhat unsure whether to believe Gu Jing’s words or Lu Lingche’s.
Gu Jing had said that Lu Lingche was going to marry Gu Ranxuan, but Lu Lingche said he wouldn’t marry Gu Ranxuan. Both of their statements sounded quite convincing.
An alliance marriage between the Lu Family and the Gu Family actually made sense, as Lu Lingche and Gu Ranxuan matched well, whether in terms of family background, abilities, or even looks. They were a gifted woman and a talented man, a far better match than she and Lu Lingche.
Her mood inexplicably fell.
Qiao Yin shook her head, erasing the image of Lu Lingche from her mind, and was about to go to work when she looked up to see Qiao Haidong and Qiao Lainan standing together downstairs.
She was slightly dazed. Why was Qiao Haidong here? He had been very quiet lately, not causing her any trouble, and she had almost forgotten about him.
A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door outside, followed by Qiao Lainan’s gentle voice, “Cousin, are you there? Eldest Uncle is sick and feeling unwell. Could you check on him?”
Qiao Yin didn’t move or speak.
She stared at the entrance, a flicker of doubt crossing her mind. How did Qiao Lainan know she was in the hospital and not at the Medical Clinic? If Qiao Haidong was sick, she should have taken him to the Medical Clinic to find her, since that was her official place of work, and at the hospital, she was merely a nominal doctor.
So she didn’t respond, pretending not to be there, curious as to whether they would leave for the Medical Clinic.
However, the next second, the door to her office was pushed open, and Qiao Lainan walked in supporting Qiao Haidong, “Oh, Cousin, you are indeed in the office. Why didn’t you answer when I knocked just now? I thought you might have gone to the ward. I was about to go look for you there.”
Qiao Haidong had an unhappy expression on his face, “Qiao Yin, did you deliberately ignore me? I’m your father, and you don’t care even when I’m sick? You’re not filial at all. I raised you for nothing! You’re an ungrateful wretch!”
Qiao Yin looked at him with a cold gaze.
In the past, she believed that Qiao Haidong was her biological father, and she still somewhat respected the father-daughter bond. Now, she knew she had no blood relation to Qiao Haidong whatsoever, and all notions of kinship and father-daughter relationships were non-existent.
Her grandmother had already told her that Qiao Haidong knew she wasn’t his biological child, which is why he had never taken care of her or raised her since she was a child.

Yet Qiao Haidong still acted as if he had raised her, always playing the emotion card, which was quite disgusting.
“Qiao Haidong, what does your illness have to do with me? Didn’t you say you wanted to sever the father-daughter relationship? Besides, you seem quite vigorous when scolding people, not at all like someone who’s sick,” she said.
Qiao Haidong’s face, originally somewhat pale, instantly reddened, “You should call me dad! Who calls their own father by his name like that? You simply have no manners at all! Your grandmother hasn’t taught you well!”
Qiao Yin’s voice was calm, measured, “Qiao Haidong, whether I should call you dad or not, you know better than I do.”
