My Avatar is Becoming the Ultimate BOSS-Chapter 179 - 127: Torrential Rain, Tokyo, Bloody Storm Auction (Final)
Chapter 179: Chapter 127: Torrential Rain, Tokyo, Bloody Storm Auction (Final)
The Mirror World’s auction house was enveloped in darkness, with only the sweeping dragon flames and the glow from the wolf’s claws illuminating the surroundings.
However, just as the two massive creatures were at a standstill, the figure in the chair... awoke.
A young man with slicked-back hair, dressed in a tunic suit, yawned, moved his right hand away from supporting the side of his head, and slowly opened his eyes.
In the darkness, a faint golden light shimmered in his eyes, seemingly capable of capturing one’s soul.
"So noisy..." Zhou Jiuya tilted his head slightly.
As the words fell, without any warning, a giant bronze tripod with a Nine Dragon Pattern appeared out of nowhere, striking the head of the Celestial Wolf. The tripod was so massive that it outmatched the enormous beast, at least twenty meters long, pinning it firmly to the auction house floor. No matter how it struggled or roared, it couldn’t break free.
Misty vapors rose from the top of the Nine Dragon Tripod, spreading out overwhelming and endlessly. After a while, the steaming mist arising from the surface of the tripod began to subside.
"Zhou Jiuya... has awakened, hasn’t he?" Urushibara Osamu murmured with a blank expression as he looked at the Nine Dragon Tripod suppressing Bai Tanlang.
Lan Duoduo was arranging the playing cards on the floor. Hearing the leader’s words, she couldn’t help raising her eyebrows, "Seriously, we just sent off one Red Dragon, and now we have to deal with a disaster level threat again?"
Xia Pingzhou and Ayase Origami looked up at the gigantic Nine Dragon Tripod, then at Zhou Jiuya in the center of the auction house.
The Bloodline sat at the edge of the auction platform, holding her cheeks and murmuring, "Disaster level... The last time we faced a disaster level was in France. Had we not been lucky and caught them off guard, we might have lost at least half our members."
"Leader, should we fight him?" Anluns asked, curiously with a smirk.
"No... Lake Hunting isn’t an ordinary disaster level. Their individual prowess even surpasses Rainbow Wings," Urushibara Osamu replied. "Next, we must avoid any chance of a confrontation with Zhou Jiuya and attempt to negotiate. Our primary goal is to rescue Bai Tanlang."
Robert opened a door connecting to the Mirror World from the outside and walked in with Jack the Ripper, his wounds bandaged.
When the two saw the figure seated in the chair, their expressions changed slightly.
"Shall we leave, Leader?" Robert asked.
"Bai Tanlang is still there," Urushibara Osamu replied.
From afar, Li Qingping glanced at the Celestial Wolf pinned to the ground by the Nine Dragon Tripod, then turned to look at Zhou Jiuya.
Red Dragon Wales’s figment faded away, transforming into an orange-glowed card imprinted with a pattern, returning to Li Qingping’s hand.
Zhou Jiuya stood up from the chair, moved forward, and looked up at the figures on the auction platform.
"Before you retreat, I can at least kill half of you, not to mention that one of your companions, a demon, is being kept suppressed by me, so I advise you not to act rashly. If anyone tries to run, I’ll make my move."
He said, "I’ll be straightforward; I’m a reasonable person. All I want are two antiques from the auction and... the life of one among you."
A deadly silence enveloped the auction house as Zhou Jiuya paused slightly:
"If you can’t manage that, then it’s a different matter altogether."
Urushibara Osamu sat at the edge of the auction platform, slightly hunched over, with Zhou Jiuya’s face reflecting in his deep pupils.
Calmly, he asked, "Which two antiques from the auction do you want?"
"Moon Concealment Thousand Bird Mirror, Wind God Thunder Drum," Zhou Jiuya stated the names of the two antiques in order.
"Hacker, give them to him," Urushibara Osamu responded without hesitation.
"Oh."
The hacker shrugged, digging into his jumpsuit pocket to retrieve a phone, reluctantly activating his superpower—"Database."
Soon after, a crystalline blue projection screen appeared in mid-air, densely listing icons of each auction item. He selected two antiques from the list, which then appeared immediately on the actual auction platform.
"Moon Concealment Thousand Bird Mirror," a bronze mirror about 30 centimeters in diameter with a pattern of a flock of birds flying over waves engraved on the back, with a broken moon-shaped white jade embedded in the center. The mirror’s surface, because of oxidation, appeared dark green.
"Wind God Thunder Drum," a pair of lacquered gold drums covered with white rhinoceros hide, with images depicting a combat scene between the Wind God and Thunder God painted on the drum body.
Zhou Jiuya glanced at the two antiques on the auction platform and summoned the Celestial Driver. A compass engraved with rainbow patterns appeared in his hand.
Invisible gravity pulled the two antiques upwards, making them instantly appear above the compass, after which they were absorbed within, each transforming into a white jade and lacquered gold pattern adhered to the compass’s surface.
Through the eyes of a crow, Urushibara Osamu looked at the compass in Zhou Jiuya’s hand.
"Ancient Compass," Zhou Jiuya’s Celestial Driver of Lake Hunting, can absorb any "genuine" antique and unleash the tremendous power contained within them—the rarer the antique, the stronger the power unleashed.
"This is indeed what I wanted," Zhou Jiuya said, retracting the Celestial Driver, placing his hands into the pockets of his tunic suit, "You should be glad you didn’t try to fool me."
Urushibara Osamu was silent for a moment, released the crow at his fingertips, looked directly at Zhou Jiuya, and asked word by word:
"Then... whose life do you want?"
As the question fell, the atmospheric pressure in the auction house seemed to drop several notches.
Only Zhou Jiuya’s expression remained calm; he lowered his gaze, pondered briefly, then said, "While I was getting some shut-eye, an annoying bug crawled out from under the chair... Though the impression isn’t strong, let me guess, it must be you."
