Chapter 165: Chapter 122: Storm, Tokyo, Bloody Auction (Part 7)_3

The four were taken aback.

Ayase Origami and Xia Pingzhou were silent, exchanging glances.

"Dragon?" Bloodline raised her elegant eyebrows.

"Wow, what’s that noise?" Lan Duoduo muttered, "Wait, could it be..."

Being the only Anecdote Envoy who understood here, Lan Duoduo looked at the world beyond the door, her face filled with both terror and suspicion as she uttered a name:

"Red Dragon... Wales?"

.....

.....

Meanwhile, in the corridor on the fourth floor of the Yugong Building.

Black Cocoon wrapped her arms around Su Zimai’s head, crashing through the glass curtain wall of the building, and with the sound of shattering glass, they fell together towards the city below.

Amidst the roaring thunder, a real storm came pouring in, carrying damp air and penetrating cold. The neon lights of Tokyo flickered on and off in the rain.

During the rapid descent, Su Zimai gazed at the entire city. Strangely, though they were in mid-air, potentially about to hit the ground and splatter like minced meat, she didn’t feel any panic at all, instead she felt... somewhat reassured.

Hesitating for a moment, Su Zimai buried her head into the chest of this guy.

Before long, Black Cocoon used a restraint belt to catch onto the billboard of the Yugong Building, halting their descent, and then swung towards Tokyo’s city district, landing on an empty street. He used the restraint belt to bind an eave, hanging upside down beneath it.

Turning to look, he saw a chain bookstore. The door was shut, and the interior was dim, seemingly closed for the day.

So Black Cocoon used the restraint belt to pry open the door lock, then pushed the door open.

He swung into the bookstore, hanging upside down below the ceiling, and slowly lowered the exhausted Su Zimai with the restraint belt, letting her rest against the counter.

"Oh... why do I smell something strange?" Black Cocoon sniffed and suddenly spoke.

"Shut up! That’s... that’s the side effect of Celestial Driver!" Su Zimai hesitated for a moment, then blushed, raising her hand to cover her damp suit pants.

"Alright, alright, side effect."

Black Cocoon nonchalantly turned his head, "Su Zimai, you should be safe here. I’ve informed your captain of this bookstore’s location, she’ll come to pick you up soon."

He paused and said quietly, "Then I suggest you all stay as far away from the auction house as possible. There are real monsters battling on the rooftop right now, not a little scuffle like yours."

After speaking, Black Cocoon turned his gaze outside the bookstore, rain water poured onto the streets, wild winds blew into the bookstore, lifting the movie posters on the shelves.

After a moment of silence, Su Zimai suddenly looked up, staring at Black Cocoon’s head close by. She asked softly:

"Who... are you really?"

"Black Cocoon."

"I’m asking you... are you my brother?" Su Zimai thought for a moment and asked again.

"Isn’t your brother Blue Arc?"

"Stop trying to trick me! My captain and I already know that my brother isn’t Blue Arc. It’s silly we got fooled by you, this big fluttering moth..."

Su Zimai hugged her knees, eyes cast down on the ground, muttering angrily.

"Uh... does it really matter who I am?"

Black Cocoon hung upside down below the ceiling, speaking without lifting his head, flipping through "My Little Sister Can’t Be This Cute" in his hand. ƒrēewebnoѵёl.cσm

After a moment of silence, Su Zimai lightly said, "That’s true... no matter who you are, whether you’re my brother or not, I still thank you."

"You’re welcome. I need to see how my partner, named ’Blue’ with the surname ’Arc’, is doing... Hopefully, he didn’t die at the auction house, that’d be a shame."

As soon as the words fell, Black Cocoon’s figure abruptly disappeared below the bookstore ceiling.

Before long, the wooden door of the bookstore suddenly shut. The wind and rain no longer entered, and the bookstore quieted down.

Before leaving, Black Cocoon seemed to have casually used a remote to turn on the bookstore’s air conditioning, starting up the heating.

Amidst the buzzing sound of the air conditioner, the bookstore gradually became warm, while the torrential rain continued to fall outside.

Su Zimai looked at the rain-soaked city, rested her chin on her knees, closed her eyes, and slowly fell asleep.
