My attributes are increasing infinitely-Chapter 117: Visiting the world of the ancients with the main body
Ethan turned to Rose and asked gently, "Do you want to go somewhere else instead of the park? Of course, if you’d still like, we can go there too."
Rose was still flushed red. She lowered her gaze and asked in a soft, almost whispering voice, "Where do you want to go?"
Ethan smiled. "Another world."
Rose blinked, surprised. "Another planet?"
He leaned slightly closer, a mysterious gleam in his eye. "You’ll see. Want to come?"
Rose nodded without hesitation. "Sure."
It didn’t matter where they went, what mattered to her was simply being by Ethan’s side.
Ethan then altered his genetic code, transforming his molecular signature to that of a native from the World of the Ancients. He wasn’t certain if that world had a form of self-awareness,if it did, it might detect him as an intruder. Worse, it might dispatch its strongest warriors to eliminate the anomaly.
He wasn’t willing to risk that, especially not with Rose beside him.
With a thought, his Chaos Domain surged outward, silently wrapping around the space surrounding Rose. That fragment of reality now belonged to him alone. No external force could detect her presence. To the outside world, she was both there and not there, now encased within Ethan’s Chaos Domain, a personal dimension tethered to his very being.
He gently reached for Rose’s hand and vanished.
When he opened his eyes, they stood in the World of the Ancients.
Immediately, Ethan felt the spiritual energy, pure and profound, flowing through the air. It was different from the cosmic energy of his own universe. This place felt very different than his own world.
Rose looked around curiously. She couldn’t sense the spiritual energy because technically, she wasn’t entirely within this dimension. To her, it appeared simply as a peaceful, old-world environment.
She tilted her head and asked, "Where is this, Ethan? The people here are wearing such strange clothes... Is this planet really that backward? Like, it never even made contact with the modern technology?"
They watched as horse-drawn carriages rumbled past, wheels clattering on cobbled streets.
Ethan nodded. "You could say... this isn’t our universe at all. We’ve stepped into another one."
Rose’s eyes widened in disbelief. The very idea stunned her.
But Ethan understood. The reaction was not unexpected. Even the top powerhouses of his own universe likely had no idea what lay beyond their universe, that a vast Chaos Sea surrounded them all... that their so-called ’universe’ was just a Lower Cosmic Universe among countless others. There were probably hugher cosmic universes too. Even he didn’t have much idea. Maybe after ’Po’ finished his evolution, he might get some answers.
He gave her a calm nod. "Yeah. Let’s look around. I want to see what makes this world special."
Rose nodded slowly, her expression still frozen in awe but she didn’t question him. Her trust in Ethan ran deeper than her shock.
Ethan teleported them to Red Sand City. His clone came here but it had never lingered here; as it had discovered a cultivator as soon as it came to this place and gone directly to the Overlord Sect. This time, he wanted to experience it himself.
The streets buzzed with life. Stalls lined the sides, where vendors shouted out their menus. The rich aroma of roasting meat, sweet breads, and spiced teas wafted through the air. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Ethan bought everything that piqued his curiosity. He loved food and so did Rose, though she usually didn’t eat much. But here, she devoured bite after bite, each one tastier than the last. Even Ethan had to admit, there was something otherworldly about the flavors.
While he was enjoying his food with Rose, some commotion broke out.
From the distance came a roar of hooves. Around twenty horse-drawn carriages barreled down the road, kicking up dust. Few muscular men sprinted ahead of them, shouting, "Clear the road! Master Timmy is coming! Move! Quickly!"
People scattered in panic. But the food carts were too heavy and rooted and couldn’t be moved in time.
The burly men surged forward, fists slamming into the stalls. Carts flew through the air, splintering into pieces. The vendors could only watch in horror, eyes brimming with tears, but they did not dare utter a single word of protest.
These men were immensely powerful, clearly they were martial artists.
Among them, there was a young boy, his father was the owner of one of the shattered carts,he couldn’t hold back. He screamed, "Why are you destroying our stalls?! Will your master Timmy pay for this?!"
His father’s face turned pale as ash. His heart stopped. He didn’t know his son would say such word at this moment.
He slapped his son hard across the face and shouted, voice trembling, "Apologize, right now!"
The boy staggered, stunned. Why had his father hit him? Hadn’t he just told the truth?
One of the burly guards paused mid-step, turning to glare at the boy with venom in his eyes. "What... did you just say?"
The father collapsed to his knees, bowing repeatedly. "Please, sir! He’s just a child. He doesn’t know what to say. I’ll break his leg myself. Please, just let this go!"
The boy’s lips parted in disbelief. Break his leg? Why? For speaking the truth?
The guard strode toward them, stopping before the trembling duo. Without warning, he struck the father. The man flew several meters away, crashing against a stone wall like a rag doll.
"FATHER!!" the boy cried out, voice cracking. Tears burst from his eyes as he tried to run toward the bloodied figure lying motionless.
But the guard grabbed him. "Where do you think you’re going? Didn’t you say something earlier?"
As the boy struggled, the carriages arrived and skidded to a halt beside them.
The guard paled instantly. He dropped to the ground and began kowtowing in terror. "Forgive me, Master! I didn’t mean to disturb your journey!"
The door of the central carriage creaked open. A young man, about 1.75 meters tall, stepped down gracefully.
He looked around calmly. "What’s going on here?"
The trembling guard blurted, "Master, when we were clearing the way, this brat shouted that you should compensate him! I just wanted to teach him a lesson—"
The master’s eyes fell on the boy. Instantly his eyes lit up. A disturbing smile spread across his face.
"Well, well... what soft flesh," he murmured. "Master would love to taste this tender meat."
His tone turned chilling. "Let this boy serve as an example. If anyone dares speak against me, this is what they’ll get. Cut him open. Peel the flesh from his bones. Grind his bones into powder."
He gestured to the kneeling man beside him.
That man,his servant, immediately smiled in excitement. His eyes gleamed with bloodlust. He wanted to hear the boy’s screams. He wanted to cut slowly, savoring every cry for mercy.
From a nearby alley, Ethan and Rose watched everything unfold.
Rose’s face darkened with fury. Her hands clenched into fists, trembling with rage. She took a step forward but Ethan placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Not yet," he said. "Let’s go see what’s really happening here."
The boy, still struggling, was trembling head to toe. His gaze was locked on his father’s unmoving body. Blood pooled beneath him. The boy cried, wanting to go to him but he couldn’t move, held tightly by the guard’s grip.
He was helpless.
