My Antique Mirror Is A Portal To Another World-Chapter 32: More Valuable Than Gold Or Silver
Chapter 32: More Valuable Than Gold Or Silver
Bai Hanyun looked into the antique mirror and saw that Feng Xiyan and the others were safe. Letting out a sigh of relief, she replied, "I’m glad you are all alright. How is the situation now?"
Feng Xiyan reported, "We have managed to repel the Yuezhi Tribe for now, but we are running low on medicine."
Bai Hanyun nodded in understanding.
Even though she had given them weapons and armor, the quantity had been too small. It was natural for soldiers to be injured in battle. Counting the time, the medicine and medical supplies she provided before should be used up by now.
After thinking for a moment, she said, "Don’t worry. I will go out and buy some more medicine for you."
Remembering that she had already pre-ordered more weapons, arrows, and armor from Shen Yi, Bai Hanyun added, "By the way, I have pre-ordered more weapons, arrows, and armor for you." freewebnσvel.cøm
"I could only afford enough for 20,000 soldiers since I’m low on funds. Once I earn more money, I will help you buy more."
As soon as her words fell, Feng Xiyan and the generals were stunned.
With only two hundred soldiers equipped with the heavenly weapons and armor, they had managed to defeat thousands of Yuezhi Tribe soldiers. If the entire Feng Army were equipped with such weapons and armors, wouldn’t they become unstoppable?
Just imagining the possibility made Feng Xiyan and the generals incredibly excited.
After calming down, Feng Xiyan thought for a moment and suddenly realized something. He looked into the mirror and asked, "Fairy Bai, have you spent a lot of money on the supplies, weapons, and armor?"
Bai Hanyun raised her brows slightly at the question. This was the first time Feng Xiyan had ever asked her about money.
Feeling curious, she asked, "Why do you suddenly ask that?"
Feng Xiyan understood the answer the moment she asked him back. Lowering his eyes, he replied, "It’s my negligence for not considering that. Fairy Bai, is there a way I can help you raise money?"
When Bai Hanyun heard this, her eyes lit up. Right now, she only had enough money to pay for the weapons and armor, so she urgently needed to earn more.
Thinking of the bronze plate and Feng Xiyan’s two prayer offerings, Bai Hanyun cleared her throat and replied, "Feng Xiyan, you can just give me things like cups, plates, vases, calligraphy, or paintings."
Feng Xiyan was stunned when he heard her response. A moment later, he asked, "Fairy Bai, are you sure you only want those things?"
Bai Hanyun nodded, then remembered that he couldn’t see her and replied, "Yes. I don’t need gold or silver, but jewelry or ordinary clothes are fine."
Listening to her request, Feng Xiyan and the generals exchanged confused glances.
Seeing their puzzled but curious expressions, Bai Hanyun explained, "In my world, those items are more valuable than gold or silver."
Upon hearing this, Feng Xiyan nodded. "I understand. I will—"
Before he could finish, Bai Hanyun’s phone rang. Seeing that the caller was Jiang Yinqi, she quickly said, "Feng Xiyan, I have something to take care of. Let’s talk again later."
With that, she tapped the antique mirror’s frame twice, ending the communication with Feng Xiyan. Then she picked up the call. "Hello, Attorney Jiang."
Sitting in his study, Jiang Yinqi glanced at the email on his monitor and said, "Hello, Miss Bai. I apologize for calling so early in the morning."
"It’s alright. Is something the matter, Attorney Jiang?" Bai Hanyun asked.
Jiang Yinqi replied, "Miss Bai, I just received an email from one of the shareholders."
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun frowned. "A shareholder contacted you? Why?"
Jiang Yinqi paused for a moment, then explained, "He wants me to help them transfer your shares to your father, Bai Yansheng. They are offering me 300 million once the transfer is completed."
Bai Hanyun had known Jiang Yinqi ever since her grandfather brought her back to the Bai family. She also knew that Jiang Yinqi was her grandfather’s adopted grandson. Since her grandfather had trusted him to handle the inheritance, she believed in Jiang Yinqi as well.
Trusting her grandfather’s judgment, Bai Hanyun asked, "What do you plan to do, Elder Brother Yinqi?"
Hearing her call him Elder Brother, Jiang Yinqi dropped his professional tone and spoke more casually.
"Hanyun, I don’t think your father will let you take over the Bai Group easily. My informants told me that Bai Yansheng has contacted underworld gangs over the past few days. He might be planning to harm you. You need to be careful."
Bai Hanyun wasn’t surprised. Since her return to the Bai family, her father and mother had hated her, believing she had come back to steal the Bai Group from Bai Li. At one point, they even said she wasn’t their biological daughter.
Feeling another wave of disappointment toward her father, she sighed and said, "Elder Brother Yinqi, I know what to do. For today’s shareholder meeting, you must bring bodyguards with you."
Jiang Yinqi smiled when he heard the concern in her words. "Don’t worry about me. I will call you after the meeting. Just be careful when you go out."
"I will. You should be careful too."
After ending the call, Bai Hanyun frowned and thought, ’Looks like I need to hire bodyguards, just in case Bai Yansheng really wants to kill me. But before that, I need to prepare medicine for Feng Xiyan.’
Having made up her mind, Bai Hanyun grabbed her car key and phone and went out.
Meanwhile, in Xiqiang City, Feng Xiyan and the generals were selecting items to offer to Bai Hanyun.
Looking at the shabby cups and jars, the crease between Feng Xiyan’s brows could kill a fly.
He shook his head and said, "We can’t offer these shabby things to Fairy Bai. I will return home and find something better."
After saying that, he grabbed his sword and hurried out of the tent. Seeing this, the other generals quickly chased after him.
