It wasn’t until Shawn’s departing footsteps were heard outside that she gritted her teeth and spoke, annoyed.

"Let go of me, I want to go out!"

"You still want to go back?" Hearing this, Noah frowned tightly, asking in displeasure.

She wants to go back?

"Of course!" Summer turned her face away in anger, not looking at him.

Noah stared at her for a moment before speaking with restraint.

"Summer Shawcross, do you know what tonight’s dinner means?"

It was obvious, tonight’s dinner was a chance arranged by The Lockwood Family for her and that pretty boy, didn’t she see that?

Noah’s words gave Summer pause; she could actually sense Mr. and Mrs. Lockwood’s intentions to match her with Shawn Lockwood.

His sharp gaze made her somewhat uneasy; after maintaining the standoff for a few seconds, she backed down, turned her gaze away, then said wryly.

"Mr. Lockwood helped me before, so I came today to return the favor."

She’s not like him, she came here solely to repay Mr. Lockwood’s previous help.
