My Aloof Husband Can't Stop His Devoted Affection-Chapter 66 - 0: The next one will definitely be more obedient than him.
Chapter 66: 066: The next one will definitely be more obedient than him.
Hearing her slightly excited voice, inexplicably, a trace of disappointment crept into Jiang Baizhou’s heart, as if it had become a luxury to hear what he wanted from her.
"Almost done."
"So, you’re saying it’s almost completely renovated?"
"There are still some details to be adjusted, around a week or so." Jiang Baizhou retracted his gaze, answering her questions while picking up some food. After taking a bite, he paused slightly and asked back, "Do you want to go see it?"
"I do, but I’ll wait until everything’s fully renovated before I go! Besides, my legs aren’t too convenient right now." Cen Jin was not shy about this matter; she was indeed curious about the overall style of Jiang Baizhou’s clinic. She had seen the design draft on his computer and thought it looked good, so she was looking forward to the final presentation: "So after it’s renovated, when will you open?"
"Not decided yet, still discussing it with Xi Ze."
"Oh, okay."
Ms. Qin sat across from them, watching their casual conversation, feeling very happy. She was particularly satisfied with Jiang Baizhou as a son-in-law. But matters of the heart couldn’t be rushed; they had to develop slowly on their own. Moreover, they grew up together, childhood sweethearts, and seeing how much Jiang Baizhou cared for Cen Jin, they still had a lot of hope.
Her biggest wish now wasn’t for wealth, just that Cen Jin could find someone worthy of entrusting her life to, someone who could love her, cherish her, and give her happiness.
After dinner, as always, Jiang Baizhou sent her upstairs back to her room.
For the next three or four days, it was the same. Every morning, Jiang Baizhou would take her to the studio, and in the evening, they would come back together, having dinner every day at Cen Jin’s house.
On Saturday afternoon, Cen Jin had an appointment to go to the hospital for a follow-up consultation and to change her medication. Her ankle sprain had already healed, so walking was no problem. At about two in the afternoon, Jiang Baizhou came to pick her up.
After seeing each other and interacting over the past few days, Yun Xi no longer displayed any enthusiasm for Jiang Baizhou. When he arrived, she simply raised her hand to greet him, then continued working on her drawings. Having hit many walls with him these days, she had given up on the unyielding Jiang Baizhou.
If he’s unacknowledged, so be it. The next one will definitely be more compliant.
She wasn’t one to waste affection on indifference. After all, she was cherished growing up, and there was more than one handsome guy; she wasn’t foolish enough to compromise her dignity and confidence for a man.
"
"Ling Ran, Yun Xi, I’m heading to the hospital first; I won’t join you for the factory visit this afternoon. Call me if you need anything." After exchanging a glance with Jiang Baizhou, Cen Jin tidied up the items on her work table, picked up her phone and bag, and slowly walked over.
"Okay." Yun Xi gave her an OK gesture, glanced at Jiang Baizhou, and then silently went back to her work.
"If the medication changing takes too late, just head back early and rest! We don’t know when we’ll finish at the factory this afternoon." Ye Lingran smiled slightly, softly reminding her.
"Got it, thank you for your hard work." Cen Jin waved to them, turned to Jiang Baizhou, and smiled, "Let’s go!"
"Hmm." Jiang Baizhou responded softly, instinctively reaching out to support her arm. As he touched her, Cen Jin glanced at him, feeling a warmth in her heart for no apparent reason.
