Chapter 202: The Shooting Star

"Zoltar please." Immediately his name left her lips, his hands halted midway as he hugged her instead.

"Okay, as you wish my wife, but after our dinner I would not promise to be gentle." He spoke as he pulled away gently, his eyes locking on her black ones. Her face burned at his shameless words.

Zoltar’s eyes moved to her hair as he ran his hands through her silky grey hair. It was told that Zavren had been so stubborn that instead of taking his mother’s grey hair and black eyes, he had switched, having grey eyes with black hair.

"You are so beautiful my wife. The stars could tell, not just tell but show by falling for you, my shooting star." His words made her heartbeat to accelerate as she felt her insides dance with excitement at his compliment. Zoltar moved to guide her to stand, but before his hands could move to her waist, her lips landed on his.

Zoltar’s eyes widened ever so slightly in surprise as her lips kissed him softly. He was momentarily still as her soft lips made his bodily functions forget their ways.

It was rare for her to initiate it herself, and when she did, he seemed to forget how to breathe. His wife’s excitement over bubbled, leaving him unmoving as if he wanted it never to end and time should stand still.

Just as he moved to kiss her back, Diana pulled away.

His eyes just stared at her as if he was trying to reason what had just happened. This wife of his always surprised him in the most shocking ways.

"You had said you did not... fuck Diana you are maddeningly making me insane," he spoke as he chuckled, sweeping his hair backward.

"I was so happy the way you complimented me and that was why I..." Her words trailed off as his lips landed on her cheeks softly.

"Oh please, no need to explain my love. You can do whatever thing you want to do to me, I don’t mind at all." He spoke, as she nodded with a smile. She gently cupped his face as she pressed a soft kiss on his lips.

Zoltar’s lips widened as he was enjoying her ways of showing him love more than he wanted to admit.

Swoosh. Swoosh. Swoosh.

The three arrows flew in deadly precision straight to the flying crow.

Plop.

The crow fell to the floor, the three arrows stuck on its body as it died.

A boy stood there. He looked seventeen. He stared at the crow for a moment as he simply shifted his gaze. He moved the arrow on the archery bow but just as he was about to release it, he stopped.

"What is it?" he spoke calmly as he turned. There standing was a girl. She looked sixteen. Her hair was packed in a neat ponytail and she wore a simple white gown. The kind that if anything stained it, it would show.

"I wanted to watch you hunt those that displease you, Prince Zavren." She asked softly as she stared at the tall figure.

Zavren had a tall height which did not match his age and that alone increased his handsomeness.

"Yes it does. Now leave." He finally spoke as he arranged the arrow. He had no intention of glancing at her. The girl’s face looked slightly hurt but she managed a smile as she spoke softly.

"Why are you always distant with everyone? You know some of us want to be your friend..." she spoke but her words died as he had already gone further into the forest. She moved quickly to keep up with him. It seemed he had not even heard what she said. The forest was filled with tall trees and the ground was slightly muddy due to the rain that had fallen in the morning. She had not expected him to be here since it had rained, but she had not seen him in the palace so she decided to check. To her surprise, he was here.

"Prince Zavren." She called out softly as she quickened her pace to meet his as he was going farther, not even looking back once. Just as she took another step, her shoes stepped on her gown making the mud rub on it. Her legs slipped on the gown as she fell to the floor with a thud.

Finally, Zavren stopped. He turned to the girl and it seemed she had injured her palms. His grey eyes held no trace of life as he walked calmly toward her. It was finally then she raised her head, surprised that he had actually come back. Her face flushed slightly in embarrassment as she stared at him. She did not even know if she should be happy and grateful for falling, because now he was standing in front of her.

He brought out his hand as she moved her hands to his, standing with his help.

"Thank you, Prince Zavren." She spoke softly with an elegant curtsy.

Zavren gave her a curt nod as he finally spoke.

"Leave." 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶

She nodded as she turned and began to leave. Just as she turned back, he was nowhere to be found.

A smile curved on her lips. Even if he had sounded rude, she knew that was how he talked and the fact that she had held his hands meant something to her more than she cared to admit.

She smiled again. The maid who had been sent by the Queen to inform Zavren about dinner stopped as she bowed respectfully.

"Lady Selena." She spoke. Her lips parted as she then noticed the stain on the gown and not just that but the slight blood from a scratch on her palm.

"Lady Selena please come with me. We would need to take you to the royal physician," she quickly spoke as worry filled her tone. She was surprised the girl’s face seemed lit rather than down given the situation.

"Very well, take me there." Selena spoke with a smile on her lips. The maid nodded as she bowed. She would quickly take her there and then after that she would call the prince.

The girl smiled as the touch from Prince Zavren still lingered in her palms and the scratch she had was nothing now. Her heart picked its race.

Only if she knew that one day she would become a seer.
