Xu An and Lin Yu stared in terror at the giant figure, their hearts filled with worry. The figure was like a moving mountain, blocking out the sky and sun; wherever it went, the wind howled, and sand and stones flew. Everything around was suppressed by this powerful aura, as if time had frozen at that moment.

"Who is this? Can we still defeat it?" Lin Yu whispered, a slight tremor in his voice. His hands clenched into fists tightly, knuckles white from the pressure, and beads of sweat stood out on his forehead.

Xu An didn't answer immediately, his gaze fixed firmly on the giant figure, his eyes full of both fear and a hint of stubbornness. "I don't know, but we have to try," he said through gritted teeth. Though his voice was not loud, it carried an unmistakable firmness.

Shen Jingqi gripped the sword in his hand tightly, its blade gleaming coldly in the dim light. His eyes burned like flames, full of fighting spirit and determination. "No matter who it is, we will not be afraid. We will surely protect our kingdom and restore this land to its former prosperity!" His voice was loud and powerful, echoing across the vast battlefield.

The crowd felt a warmth flowing in their hearts upon hearing Shen Jingqi's words, slightly alleviating their fear. But as they looked again at the giant figure, the hope that had just ignited was immediately extinguished by half.

The giant figure slowly descended, its face gradually becoming clear. It was a hideous face, its distorted features seemed kneaded by an invisible force. Its eyes were like two bottomless black holes, revealing endless evil and greed; its nose was flat and wide, as if smashed by something heavy; its mouth stretched wide, revealing two rows of sharp fangs, ready to devour everyone at any moment.

"None of you are leaving here alive today!" it shouted loudly, its voice like a thunderclap, causing everyone's ears to ache. Then it swung the weapon in its hand, a massive battle axe, with a blade flashing coldly as if drenched with the blood of countless creatures. When swung, it raised a gust of wind, making it hard for everyone to stand steadily.

"Everyone, be careful!" Shen Jingqi shouted, his figure flickering as he dodged the first wave of the battle axe's attack. The axe hit the ground heavily, raising a cloud of dust, leaving a huge crater.

Xu An and Lin Yu quickly reacted, each drawing their weapons, forming a triangular stance with Shen Jingqi to encircle the giant figure. But they both knew well that this was merely a tactic for self-comforting, as they had no advantage whatsoever against such a powerful enemy.

"Hmph, just a few small fries like you trying to stop me?" the giant figure let out a sinister laugh, full of disdain and mockery. It wielded the battle axe again, this time with a more ferocious and faster attack.

Shen Jingqi sidestepped and swiftly swung his sword towards the giant figure's arm. But as the sword hit its arm, it only produced a metallic clang, sparks flying, leaving not even a scratch. "Such tough skin!" Shen Jingqi thought in shock, not expecting the enemy's defense to be so formidable.

The giant figure seemed angered by Shen Jingqi's attack, it roared and kicked towards Shen Jingqi. With no time to dodge, Shen Jingqi was kicked heavily, flying away and slamming into the ground.

"Shen Jingqi!" Xu An and Lin Yu shouted simultaneously, their faces showing a look of concern. But they knew now was not the time for sorrow; they had to keep fighting, or everyone would perish here.

Xu An bit his lip, shouting loudly, and wielded his long spear, stabbing toward the giant figure's leg. Lin Yu was unwilling to lag behind, his twin blades fluttering like butterflies, constantly attacking the giant figure's ankles.

The giant figure was somewhat annoyed by their attacks, swinging the battle axe to try and force them back. But Xu An and Lin Yu were very agile, dodging left and right, constantly looking for an opportunity to strike.

However, their attacks to the giant figure were nothing more than a tickle. The giant figure suddenly ceased its assault, lowered its head, and looked at Xu An and Lin Yu who were attacking it, its gaze filled with a mocking expression.

"Is this all you've got? So disappointing," it said, then suddenly opened its mouth, spewing a jet of black flames. The flames surged towards Xu An and Lin Yu like a giant black dragon.

Xu An and Lin Yu were shocked, trying to dodge, but it was too late. The black flames engulfed them instantly, their screams of agony emanating from within the fire. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Shen Jingqi struggled up from the ground, seeing Xu An and Lin Yu surrounded by flames, his heart filled with anger and self-reproach. "No!" he shouted, ignoring his pain, and charged at the giant figure.

His speed was astonishing, like a flash of lightning. The giant figure seemed not to have expected Shen Jingqi to stand up and attack again, in a panic, it swung its battle axe to block Shen Jingqi's attack.

But Shen Jingqi, now seething with rage, wielded his swordsmanship with extraordinary sharpness. Cleverly dodging the axe's attack, he thrust his sword at the giant figure's eye. The giant figure bellowed in pain, roaring angrily, and forcefully flung Shen Jingqi away.

Shen Jingqi fell to the ground again, but he did not give up. Struggling to get up, he charged again at the giant figure. At this point, he held onto one thought alone: to defeat this enemy and save his comrades and his kingdom.

The giant figure, angered by Shen Jingqi's relentless resistance, decided to show no mercy. It raised the battle axe high, then swung it fiercely at Shen Jingqi. This swing carried enormous power, and if it hit, Shen Jingqi would surely be shattered into pieces.

As Shen Jingqi watched the approaching battle axe, despair surged in his heart. He knew he no longer had the strength to evade this strike; was everything going to end like this? He refused to accept it, refused to let his kingdom be destroyed like this, refused to let his comrades die like this.

At this critical juncture, a mysterious light suddenly shot forth from afar, striking the giant figure's battle axe. The axe was deflected from its original trajectory, landing on the ground beside Shen Jingqi.

The giant figure was startled by the sudden light, halting its attack and warily surveying its surroundings. "Who is it? Show yourself!" it shouted, its voice filled with anger and fear.

Shen Jingqi also looked around in surprise, not knowing where this mysterious light had come from, but knowing it might be their only hope.
