The Personal Bodyguard of the Female CEO-Chapter 1867 - 1865: Loneliness and Helplessness
Very soon, the Lamborghini roared as it rushed out of the garage.
Wang Dadong wished he could fly directly to Lin Shiyan’s side.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go his way — there was a traffic jam.
No matter how fast the Lamborghini was, it was helpless in a traffic jam.
After driving for more than ten minutes, Wang Dadong managed to move just one or two kilometers, so he simply got out of the Lamborghini.
"Shishi, I’ll carry you," Wang Dadong said to Lin Shir.
Lin Shir nodded and climbed onto Wang Dadong’s back, her slender arms tightly wrapped around his neck.
Before she confessed to Wang Dadong, she deliberately kept her distance from him, fearing he would find out.
Now that Wang Dadong knew the truth, she naturally didn’t need to keep her distance from him anymore.
In fact, the little girl really liked being close to Wang Dadong.
Wang Dadong only wanted to get to Lin Shiyan as quickly as possible, and once Lin Shir held onto him, he took off running.
In less than twenty minutes, Wang Dadong carried Lin Shir to the outside of Nanshan Moonlight Community.
It was almost faster than driving a sports car.
The two of them came to the door of apartment 708.
This was the residence of the Cat Woman Wang Dadong had encountered earlier.
And it was also where Lin Shiyan was currently living.
Indeed, life is full of drama; earlier Wang Dadong had mused that if this Cat Woman turned out beautiful, it would be wonderful to take her home as a pet.
Only to find out that this Cat Woman was his wife, Lin Shiyan.
Lin Shir followed the signal, gently knocking on the door three times, and then waited.
But after more than a minute, there was no response.
Lin Shir knocked three more times.
Yet still, no one came to open the door.
"Could sis have fallen asleep?" Lin Shir asked, pouting.
Wang Dadong frowned and said to Lin Shir, "Shishi, pull out a hair for me."
Lin Shir was somewhat excited, knowing Wang Dadong was about to use his ultimate skill of opening the door with a hair, so she reached out to pull a hair from Wang Dadong.
"I meant yours," Wang Dadong rolled his eyes.
"Oh." Lin Shir reluctantly pulled a strand of her shiny black hair and gave it to Wang Dadong.
Holding the hair, Wang Dadong channeled his inner strength into it, and the hair immediately stood stiff and straight, like iron wire.
He fiddled with the lock using the hair, and the door clicked open.
"Sis, sis!"
Lin Shir called out a few times, but there was no response, so she went directly to Lin Shiyan’s bedroom.
However, the bedroom was empty.
The two of them searched the entire apartment, but Lin Shiyan was nowhere to be found.
"Maybe, maybe sis went out; let’s wait for her," Lin Shir thought aloud.
Wang Dadong shook his head, "She’s already gone."
"Gone?" Lin Shir looked at Wang Dadong in confusion; how did he know Lin Shiyan had left?
"Look at this," Wang Dadong brought a trash bin to Lin Shir.
Inside the bin lay a silent mobile phone.
It was clear that Lin Shiyan had left and, fearing she would be found, threw away her phone.
Lin Shiyan had hidden in Nanshan Moonlight because she didn’t want Wang Dadong to find her, but unexpectedly, when the water pipe at her home burst, she was panicked and the person knocking at the door turned out to be Wang Dadong.
She hadn’t thought that the community she randomly chose could be found by Wang Dadong.
Watching Wang Dadong squat in the restroom fixing her water pipe, Lin Shiyan’s emotions were a tangled mess.
Wang Dadong truly was like her guardian angel; whenever she faced difficulties, he would appear.
Even though Wang Dadong showing up was just a coincidence.
But now, she didn’t want to see Wang Dadong.
Luckily, after fixing the pipe, Wang Dadong left without discovering anything.
Later, when she went out to dump the garbage, she bumped into Wang Dadong again, who seemed to recognize her, making her run, only to trip and fall.
Wang Dadong caught her, and her sunglasses fell off, their eyes meeting.
Unfortunately, Wang Dadong didn’t recognize her.
Though this was what she hoped for — that Wang Dadong wouldn’t recognize her — when he really didn’t, Lin Shiyan felt terribly sad inside.
The person she loved most didn’t recognize her.
Yet that was only natural; her eyes were no longer ordinary, looking like a monster’s, so it wasn’t strange Wang Dadong couldn’t recognize her.
But she was still sad...
With Wang Dadong appearing here, Lin Shiyan naturally couldn’t stay any longer.
But she didn’t know where she could go or who she could contact.
Aside from Lin Shir, she dared not contact anyone.
Now it was nighttime; Lin Shir was likely with Wang Dadong, and if she contacted Lin Shir, Wang Dadong might find out.
So after leaving Moonlight Residential Area, Lin Shiyan wandered aimlessly, alone.
With the year drawing to a close, even Jiangdu City’s usually good weather had its temperature suddenly drop; the night wind blew cold and harsh.
Fortunately, fearing discovery, Lin Shiyan was wrapped tightly, so she wasn’t afraid of the cold.
Besides, physical cold was nothing compared to the chill in her heart.
Feeling abandoned by the world.
She wasn’t afraid of loneliness; the lack of servants at her villa showed her independence.
She was very self-reliant.
But now she truly felt lonely and helpless.
Wishing for a shoulder to lean on.
The only shoulder she could rely on was Wang Dadong’s.
Yet she didn’t want Wang Dadong to see her current self.
Though she was previously ill, she still appeared normal; now she had become a monster.
Even though she knew Wang Dadong might not abandon her because of this, she couldn’t be selfish.
Wang Dadong was so wonderful, deserving a better woman.
After all, she wasn’t a good woman.
Couldn’t do housework, couldn’t cook, couldn’t even provide Wang Dadong the basics from a woman.
Maybe without her, Wang Dadong would be happier...
Searching for someone in the vast Jiangdu City is extremely difficult, especially when the person wants to hide.
Nevertheless, Wang Dadong didn’t care and searched throughout the streets.
Whenever he saw a woman with a similar figure to Lin Shiyan, he’d run over to see if it was her.
Finally, Wang Dadong spotted a woman wearing a hat, wrapped tightly with a scarf.
Her back looked identical to Lin Shiyan’s.
"I finally found you, my wife!" Wang Dadong excitedly charged over, grabbing her in an embrace.
