Chapter 21 Business Comes to Door
In an abandoned warehouse near the city park of Lincoln High School, the rhythmless sound of musical instruments is coming out. Fortunately, this abandoned warehouse is far enough away from the main building of the school and covered by a large forest, so there is no need to worry about this. The music can only be classified as loud to the school teachers.
This abandoned warehouse used to be the warehouse of the school's sailing club, and earlier it was the gun store of the school's rifle club. However, the rifle club was banned in 1973, and the sailing club was disbanded due to lack of members a few years ago. Abandoned, it has become an exclusive activity place for high school students who don't want to join the school music club, try to play rock music, or other personalized music.
Tommy Hawk pushed open the dilapidated door panel of the warehouse that was already mottled and covered with graffiti. His best friend, Dennis - the man of the year at Lincoln Middle School - classmate Herbers, wore a colorful hair band on his forehead, a zipper all over his body, and a leather skull. The exposed pattern and sharp rivets constitute a distinct punk-style attire. He is standing in the open space in the center of the warehouse, holding a bass in his hand and tuning it. Next to him are several other people holding various instruments, tuning sound.
In another open space next to the wall, a few high school girls who put themselves into smoky makeup after school, wore fishnet stockings, and painted nail polish of various weird colors sat on the floor with cigarettes in their mouths. They were obviously the girlfriends and music fans of these guys.
"Brad! Put down that **** banjo!" Dennis finished tuning the bass in his hand, took out the cigarette **** from his mouth, played it towards a companion next to him, and cursed loudly, "Your ancestors left This banjo is not for you to play! Back when your ancestors **** **** women, **** woman's **** husband needed to play the banjo by the side! He left it in hope Man imitate him and restore his glory! Instead of seeing a white slave slave play banjo like a **** slave! Seeing you like this, he might be **** off the graveyard tonight!"
"F*ukYou! Dennis!" The companion gave Dennis a middle finger: "I want to treat you like my grandfather treated niggers."
In Rhode Island, where blacks account for only 3% of the total population, this kind of **** joke against blacks is everywhere. Although there are waves of racial equality, anti-racism, etc., this wave is in the north where there are more blacks. State might have an effect, but there is clearly not enough **** soil in Rhode Island.
In the reelection of the state government a few years ago, when Republican electors were debating their rival Democratic candidates, a line of defense that white residents of Rhode Island relished was: "If you want to be neighbors with niggers, even if you vote for the Democrats, I respect your decision to see yourself as a nigger."
This line of defense also got him elected, because no white person here wants to be a neighbor with a black person.
Actually, before Hawke came here, the original Tommy used to be as bohemian as Dennis after school, playing musical instruments, picking up girls, and teasing black people, but after timetraveling, he changed his way of life.
"Look who is here, Tommy~ my dear buddy, come and kiss my D**k!" Dennis said loudly when he saw Tommy Hawk at the door after teasing his companion.
"I heard that you have become a man of the hour. The headmaster didn't expel you from school. It was the biggest mistake in his career, Dennis." Tommy Hawke took out a cigarette, lit it in his mouth, and said to Dennis with a smile.
Dennis nodded: "Even the private Holy Cross High School already knows my name, and their school's rock band even sent an invitation, hoping that I will participate in their private concert next week, because they think I'm cool, buddy, I'm a celebrity now."
Holy Cross High School is a private high school in Providence. The students there are unlikely to get acquainted with the scumbags taught by the public trash schools. Even they have sent invitations. It can be seen that what Dennis did is indeed in The state's high school community caused quite a stir.
"Where's Pam?"
"We are busy imparting our technology to more people." Dennis said: "You know, he never likes this kind of publicity."
"So you're well connected now, huh?"
"All over Rhode Island."
Tommy shrugged: "How about doing me a favor, Dennis, I let you get an A for the math homework."
"Of course no problem, I can take off my pants now, brother." Dennis said seriously.
Everyone was taken aback for a moment, and it wasn't until Dennis laughed loudly that they realized that this guy was joking with Tommy.
Dennis said to Tommy: "Listen, if you want to go to Holy Cross High School next week, I can take you with me. It is said that there are some very beautiful girls in that high school..."
"It has nothing to do with women, I need you to go with me to meet a man." Tommy Hawke in casual clothes smoked a cigarette and said to Dennis with a smile, "But don't worry, you don't need to take off your pants."
…
East Greenwich, Hugh Spade returned to his rented apartment, threw the medicine in his pocket on the table, then sat lazily on the sofa and stared at the medicine.
In fact, when he was in the car, he discovered this problem. These things can indeed sell for dozens of dollars, but who should he sell them to? Without a buyer, there is no way to monetize.
"The next time I go to see that **** bitch, I should give it back to her, and then ask her to sell it to herself." Hugh Spade took a sip of beer, leaned on the sofa and thought for a while, before finally thinking A nice solution.
I have a negative of Melonie's photo. When that guy really enters the school and becomes a teacher, he will become his own cow. Every month, the Child Protection Bureau will transfer the amount of child support from his salary account to him. How much does Ni have in her hand? That woman owes her to herself. Without her revealing what she did, she might be married now and enjoying a happy married life.
Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring.
The phone rang, and Hugh Spade got up and walked over to pick up the receiver: "This is Hugh Spade."
"Hello, Mr. Spade." Tommy Hawke's voice rang on the phone: "Listen to my landlady, you took something that didn't belong to you."
"Boy, it's none of my business. That woman owes me. She lost your things. You can go to her to settle the score. Don't bother me." Hugh Spade heard that Melonie's high school was on the opposite side. The tenant, with a hey smile, said, "If there are no other questions, I'm going to hang up."
Tommy Hawk's voice continued: "I advise you not to, because I saw a white Mercury with the license plate number XKP629 parked in East Greenwich, Oak Apartment Building B, is it your car?"
Hugh Spade's face changed, he put the receiver next to the phone, and walked quickly to the living room window, looking out, the sun was setting, and a young man dressed in punk was leaning in front of his car, smoking a cigarette, Keeping his eyes fixed on the window where he was, seeing himself appearing, the young man waved to him and shouted loudly:
"You must have gotten the call, sir? May I go upstairs to see you?"
Hugh Spade walked back to the phone with a sullen face, and picked up the receiver: "If you dare to destroy my car, just wait for the police to come to the door."
"No no no, you misunderstood me, Mr. Spade, that guy is my customer, you took my goods, I can only let him come to you to pick up the goods, since I am in Providence now Si is busy with other things, so I hope you do me a favor, don't let my clients lose, maintain them for me, those medicines are my gift to you, he pays you, you can keep it yourself, But, only this time." After Tommy Hawk finished speaking, he hung up the phone: "Then, when I'm done, I'll chat with you about business."
Hugh Spade put down the phone receiver, stared at the phone for two minutes, picked up the phone suddenly, and dialed the number of the information desk: "Help me find the registered address of a phone number."
"Sir, this phone number belongs to the Providence Paradise Strip Club." On the other side of the phone, the voice of the operator gave the answer sweetly.
"Ring, ring, ring~" At this time, the doorbell also rang outside the door.
Hugh Spade looked at the medicines on the table, then at the doorbell that kept ringing, and fell silent.
