Chapter 818: Chapter 818: Chatting With Which Young Lady

When they set off, the group was still organized, but once they entered the mall, everyone went their own way.

Norman initially followed Lana and her group, but Lana didn’t have anything specific she wanted to buy and was just helping Phoebe and the other moms pick out clothes for the little ones.

Norman found it utterly boring and thought he’d rather play games at the hotel.

So when they passed by the arcade, he called Scott, who was also free, to go play games inside.

Norman’s personality was quite childish, and after exchanging Scott’s money for tokens, he cuddled Anna in front of those colorful game machines.

Anna was so young, naturally, she didn’t know how to play, but being a playful kid, she found the bright objects interesting even though she couldn’t understand the games.

The racing game on the screen looked very realistic and exciting, and the little one kept exclaiming excitedly, even trying to grab the little cars on the screen, thinking they were toys from home.

Scott took a video of Norman holding Anna while playing the racing game and sent it to Audrey.

Audrey couldn’t help but laugh when she saw the video and immediately showed it to Shane, and the two of them watched their son’s antics repeatedly.

Norman then played several more games with Anna, but Anna seemed to like the singing kiddie rides the most, sitting through several tokens without wanting to get off.

Norman, unable to stand the boredom, left the child with Scott and ran off to play other games.

With his good skills, he won a prize in a shooting game and got a lollipop.

As Anna’s uncle, Norman still thought of his little nephew, and as soon as he received the lollipop, he went back to the kiddie ride, unwrapped the candy, and handed it to Anna.

Anna didn’t know what it was, but when it was offered to her mouth, she opened it.

After Norman let her taste a bit, he squatted down and asked, "Is it sweet?"

"Eh!" Anna exclaimed dissatisfied, reaching out to grab the candy in Norman’s hand.

Clearly, she hadn’t had enough of the sweetness yet.

Norman laughed and placed the lollipop in Anna’s hand, telling her, "Hold it tight, okay? You won’t get to eat it if it falls on the floor." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Anna held the candy but didn’t know how to eat it properly, and drool made a mess everywhere, with her face and little hand sticky from the candy. Scott tried wiping with tissues but it didn’t help much.

Finally, as Anna was eating somewhat messily, they took the candy from her.

She immediately became unhappy, and Scott feared she would cry, so he put another coin, letting her ride the kiddie car again to soothe her.

Half an hour later, Audrey and Shane got the results and left the hospital, heading straight for the mall upon hearing the news.

The first thing they did was to look for their son.

When Audrey and Shane arrived at the arcade, they first saw Anna’s back while she was sitting on the kiddie ride.

She looked so cute and well-behaved.

"Baby, did you miss mommy!" Audrey ran over, cupped Anna’s head in her hands, and planted a kiss on her cheek, immediately wrinkling her brow at the sticky feel.

Shane frowned as he walked over and said to Audrey, "Can’t you walk properly instead of running and jumping around?"

Audrey first apologized with a giggle to Shane and said, "I forgot."

Then she looked at her son’s dirty cheek and asked, "What did your uncle give you to eat?"

Scott replied, "His uncle gave him a lollipop."

Audrey took a wet tissue from her bag to wipe her child’s face while saying to Anna, "Why are your lips so greedy? You eat whatever’s given to you!"

Scott asked, "How did the check-up results go?"

Audrey smiled blissfully and replied, "Anna’s going to be a big brother."

Scott first smiled happily for Audrey, then said, "With you expecting your second baby, mom’s going to start nagging me and my younger brother again when we go back."

Audrey teased, "Fourth brother, do you have a girlfriend? I always see you smiling at your phone, are you chatting with some young girl?"

Scott replied, "Why are you acting like mom now? I came out to get some peace and quiet."

Audrey chuckled, "Fourth brother, do you have a girl you fancy? If not, I can introduce you to one. What kind of girl do you like?"

Scott said, "Stop trying to extract information from me. Look at your son’s blank face; he’s probably up to no good again."

Audrey cleaned Anna’s face, then looked at him with a slightly vacant expression she knew too well, and frowned, saying, "Did you poop, brat?"

Anna didn’t react, but they heard him fart.

Audrey stood up with disgust and said to Shane, "You take care of him."

Shane, helpless, took a deep breath, looking at Anna who smiled at them; presumably, he had finished pooping.

Audrey watched as Shane picked Anna up and said, "Take him to the bathroom first. I’ll bring you wet tissues and diapers."

Scott then told Audrey, "The supplies are in the stroller, I’ll get them. Six is over there playing games, you go wait there."

Audrey didn’t stand on ceremony with Scott, saying with a smile, "Thanks, fourth brother, I’m just a bit thirsty, going to grab a bottle of water."

Scott glanced at the vending machine just outside and nodded reassuringly, asking, "Got any change? I just swapped a bunch of coins."

As he spoke, Scott had already fished out a few coins from his bag and handed them to Audrey, who accepted them without hesitation, before heading to the vending machine.

Audrey had just dropped the coins into the vending machine when she heard a familiar male voice behind her say, "There’s no situation here, you guys head to the parking lot first."

Recognizing the voice as extremely familiar, Audrey turned to see a man in a black hoodie on the phone, jogging towards the escalator in the mall.

"Bang—" Audrey’s choice of bottled water fell from the shelf into the retrieval slot, and she bent down to pick it up. By then, the man in the hoodie had disappeared.

But thinking back, she increasingly felt that the person resembled her second brother, both in voice and build, and the words spoken over the phone sounded like something he’d say during a mission.

Except this place was a thousand miles away from Rivia, her second brother couldn’t possibly be here.

Still puzzled, she saw Phoebe and Laura along with their group walking over and went to ask, "Second sister-in-law, did you say where second brother’s on a mission before?"
