Chapter 810: Chapter 810: She Catches My Eye

In order to keep Julian Bishop from noticing anything unusual, Seraphina Vaughn didn’t keep dealing out small cards to him like she did to Norman Sutton earlier.

Everyone drew a round randomly, and the smallest number once again fell to Norman Sutton and the guy sitting next to him.

The guy chose a dare, and Seraphina Vaughn said, "Tie the hair of the nearest person of the opposite sex."

Both the guy and Norman Sutton looked at Lana Holloway, and then Norman Sutton quickly said, "No way, I’ll drink this for him!"

Seraphina Vaughn, eager for some entertainment, hurriedly stopped him, saying, "That won’t do, you have to respect the game rules."

Lana Holloway looked slightly embarrassed, and the guy seemed interested in taking advantage, walking over behind Lana and lightly saying, "I’ve never tied a girl’s hair before, not very good at it."

Seraphina Vaughn said, "A simple ponytail will do."

Lana Holloway sat awkwardly in her chair as the guy stood behind her fiddling, eventually tying a loose ponytail.

Feeling uneasy, Norman Sutton, worried that the guy might re-tie the hair saying it wasn’t done well, quickly pulled the guy back, "That’s enough! It’s done!"

Seraphina Vaughn smiled and looked at Norman Sutton, "Your turn, what are you picking?"

Once again, Norman Sutton chose a dare, and Seraphina Vaughn read the card, "If you had to choose someone here to kiss, who would it be? And say why."

Norman Sutton glanced at Lana Holloway and quickly pointed to her, saying, "Her."

Everyone wore an expression of amusement as Seraphina Vaughn pressed, "Why?"

Norman Sutton answered confidently, "Because she looks pleasing to me."

After saying that, Norman Sutton looked dissatisfied at Seraphina Vaughn and said, "How come you never lose a round? You can’t deal anymore; you must be up to something shady."

Seraphina Vaughn replied, "It’s not my fault if you have bad luck. Alright, let’s continue."

The next two rounds, the penalties fell on Julian Bishop.

In the first round, Julian chose a dare to perform a seductive strip dance, but he opted to drink instead.

In the second round, he went back to truth.

Seraphina Vaughn asked, "Have you ever picked your feet?"

Julian Bishop was silent for two seconds, then answered seriously, "Probably when I was showering."

His calm tone made it seem like he was just answering the doctor if his bowel movements had been normal.

Seraphina Vaughn thought the question was not exciting enough, so she wanted to start a new round when Julian Bishop volunteered, "I’ll shuffle."

Seraphina Vaughn was momentarily surprised but then confidently handed the cards to Julian, "You shuffle then."

She watched his shuffling skills closely, seemingly experienced, only catching him when he was manipulating the cards.

When it came to drawing, Julian did it the same way she had, by holding it for everyone to take turns drawing.

Seraphina Vaughn drew a card first, knowing it was manipulated by Julian, she immediately said before he could retract his hand, "Wait, I want to pick another."

Julian generously allowed her to draw another card.

Seraphina Vaughn scoffed disdainfully, as if to say, who does this amateur think they are, showing off in front of her.

But when she flipped it and saw it was a "2" of clubs, her smile froze.

Did this sly man predict her move? Had he anticipated she’d change her card? Or had he prepared for this all along?

Either way, she lost this round. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

After comparing cards, Norman Sutton, who had drawn a "3," started taunting Seraphina Vaughn, "See, I told you something was up with you, once someone else deals, you lose, right?"

Seraphina Vaughn shot a fierce glare at Julian Bishop, defiantly saying, "It’s clearly him who’s the problem!"

Norman Sutton retorted, "Cut the nonsense, hurry up and pick a card!"

Seraphina Vaughn decisively pulled a Truth card, and Barry Barrett read, "Wow, here’s a juicy one. Can you accept a one-night stand? Explain why."

Without hesitation, Seraphina Vaughn said, "Yes, it’s just sleeping. You wouldn’t lose an arm or leg. Nobody loses. Next round!"

Barry Barrett gave Seraphina Vaughn a thumbs up.

Julian Bishop shuffled again this round.

Seraphina Vaughn let him shuffle again to see just how skillful he was. She refused to believe she couldn’t beat this man today.

In this round, Seraphina Vaughn had Julian lay the cards out on the table for everyone to draw themselves.

She couldn’t believe Julian Bishop could still manipulate the game this way!

Seraphina Vaughn carefully selected a card, finally pulling one out, turning it to reveal a "3," making her gnash her teeth in frustration.

Could this man manipulate cards like this? She selected it randomly using her judgment! Or was it just her bad luck?!

As expected, this "3" turned out to be the smallest card in this round.

Furious, Seraphina Vaughn pulled a dare card.

Barry Barrett read, "Sit on the lap of the nearest person of the opposite sex and act cute."

The closest was a handsome guy with whom Seraphina Vaughn played badminton earlier in the day.

Sitting on someone’s lap might not be hard for Seraphina Vaughn, but acting cute was like a death sentence, so she picked up her glass and chose the penalty drink.

As the game went on for two hours, even though the card draws were contactless later on, Seraphina Vaughn felt like she was cursed by Julian Bishop.

Since Julian showed up, her luck had been terrible, losing on average two out of every five rounds of the game.

Barry Barrett lost count of how many drinks Seraphina Vaughn had but after seeing her down another glass, he asked, "Seraphina, are you okay? Should we stop playing?"

Seraphina Vaughn looked at Julian Bishop sitting diagonally across from her, determined not to give up until she beat him, "Pour the drinks! Let’s go again!"

The night grew darker, and Audrey Sutton leaned on Shane Warner’s shoulder, the two sitting side by side by the creek, with Anna wrapped in Shane’s jacket already asleep in his arms.

Audrey Sutton yawned, lazily saying, "Am I really getting old? It’s only a little after nine and I feel sleepy already."

Shane Warner looked at her and said softly, "If you’re tired, go sleep in the car."

Audrey Sutton rubbed her eyes, glanced at Anna, and enviously said, "It’s nice to be a kid, you get to be held while you sleep."

Shane Warner gave her a look, "Don’t I hold you every night?"

Audrey Sutton said, "I meant anytime, anywhere."

Shane Warner replied, "As long as you don’t mind, it’s not impossible anytime, anywhere."

Audrey Sutton rolled her eyes, "Shameless."

She stretched, stood up from the grass and said, "Let’s go, back to the car. There are too many bugs out here, we don’t want them biting our son."
