Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 322: Affair
Upon hearing Flora Lane’s words, Barry Barrett’s first reaction was excitement, thinking he would unexpectedly encounter Brother Hawke here. But when she saw Nolan Hawke with his arm around a pink-haired beauty, the smile on her face immediately froze.
She even hoped she had mistaken someone else for him, but he was unmistakably Nolan.
Scott Sutton noticed the female lead arriving, and deliberately snuggled closer to Nolan Hawke, who smiled and leaned in to kiss Scott Sutton’s hair, letting his large hand slowly slide from Scott’s waist to his hips.
At that moment, Scott Sutton wanted to hit someone.
This guy was really pushing his luck.
Barry Barrett saw the whole scene unfold.
She froze in place, and upon realizing the situation, she did not confidently step forward to confront Nolan Hawke, but instead turned away, trying to escape.
Attempting to deceive herself, she told herself that everything was just an illusion, just a misunderstanding, and as long as she didn’t expose it, there was still a chance to salvage things between her and Nolan Hawke.
However, Flora Lane couldn’t swallow her anger, having dealt with countless scumbags, she naturally hated men who behaved like scumbags.
She grabbed Barry Barrett’s hand and directly headed toward Nolan Hawke.
"Smack—" Flora walked up and, without a word, slapped Nolan Hawke across the face.
Nolan Hawke frowned slightly, and when he turned and saw Barry Barrett, there was a moment of surprise in his eyes. His hand on Scott Sutton’s waist discreetly withdrew: "Bear?"
Barry Barrett’s eyes were already misty with tears, and she held back to prevent them from falling, looking at Nolan Hawke and then at Scott Sutton, her voice trembling, pointing at Scott Sutton and asking Nolan Hawke, "Who is she?"
Nolan Hawke didn’t miss a beat: "A friend."
Barry Barrett chuckled and took half a step back.
If she hadn’t seen Nolan Hawke’s flirtatious behavior earlier with her own eyes, she might have believed his ridiculous lie.
Audrey Sutton was worried about Barry Barrett’s emotions while also worrying that Barry Barrett would recognize Scott Sutton.
But Barry Barrett’s emotions at the moment clearly prevented her from caring about this "pink-haired girl."
She cried with tears streaming down, yet smiled while asking Nolan Hawke, "Have you always been like this? While being with me, you’ve been flirting ambiguously with other women, right?"
Nolan Hawke glanced at Audrey Sutton, walked over, and held Barry Barrett’s hand: "Let’s go back and talk, okay?"
Barry Barrett shook off his hand, and Flora Lane rushed forward to protect Barry Barrett, stopping Nolan Hawke from touching her again. She pointed at Nolan Hawke and said: "Get lost, as far as you can."
Nolan Hawke smiled a bit, seeming too lazy to coax her further, slowly pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his pants pocket, put one in his mouth, and lit it with a lighter, leisurely taking a puff, with a playful tone said: "Bear, honestly, I’m quite reluctant to let you go, after all, you’re the easiest girl to fool that I’ve met."
Upon hearing these words from Nolan Hawke, Barry Barrett could no longer control her tears, and they began to flow in torrents.
"It’s rather unfortunate, to have been together for so long and not have slept with you."
Flora Lane was so furious that she raised her hand, ready to slap him again, but Nolan Hawke blocked her. He smiled, leaned closer to Barry Barrett, and said: "Why don’t we get a room now?"
Barry Barrett glared at him through her tears, as if she couldn’t believe the frivolous man in front of her was the same person she loved daily.
Scott Sutton couldn’t stand it anymore, he couldn’t bear to see a girl crying.
Scott walked up and linked arms with Nolan Hawke, gently tugging at his wrist, smiling at Nolan Hawke to signal him, Nolan took the hint and hugged Scott Sutton’s waist, showing no guilt or distress towards Barry Barrett.
"Bear, if you want to keep things going between us, you can still call me."
"Get lost." Barry Barrett practically spat out the word through gritted teeth.
Nolan Hawke seemed eager to spend the night with the beauty in his arms and didn’t want to waste any more words with Barry Barrett, taking Scott Sutton and heading out of the bar.
From the bar to the door, Nolan Hawke’s hands never behaved.
Scott Sutton took him to a small alley beside the bar, and Nolan Hawke couldn’t wait to lunge forward, tilting Scott’s chin and preparing to kiss him, but Scott Sutton punched Nolan Hawke’s face heavily. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Nolan Hawke was stunned, confused about why he was being hit; also wondering how a girl could have such strength?
Scott Sutton’s subsequent actions answered his internal questions.
Scott Sutton took off the wig on his head and threw off the high heels, tossing them at Nolan Hawke: "I’m bigger down there than you, what the hell are you touching?"
Hearing a man’s voice, Nolan Hawke was even more dumbfounded.
While Nolan Hawke was in a daze, Scott Sutton grabbed Nolan Hawke’s collar and threw two more punches, followed by two slaps: "You think your features are so superior, who the hell gave you the guts to flirt with girls all day?"
Scott Sutton, usually mild-mannered, showed no restraint when moving and hit Nolan Hawke until he couldn’t fight back. Seeing blood trickle from his mouth, Scott Sutton quickly let go of Nolan Hawke, concerned about getting his hands dirty.
"Don’t ever come to my store again; I’ll beat you every time I see you."
Scott Sutton turned to go back to the bar, but realizing his current attire was inappropriate for entering through the main door, he quickly turned back to leave through the back door.
As he turned back, he kicked Nolan Hawke twice before quickly walking towards the back door, intending to change out of his ridiculous outfit.
"Whistle——" A small-time punk in the alley whistled at Scott Sutton.
Scott Sutton glared sharply and snapped: "Whistle your sister!"
The punk nearly jumped: "A guy?! Sicko!"
If it weren’t urgent to change clothes, that punk would definitely be lying next to Nolan Hawke.
In the bar, everyone was comforting Barry Barrett.
Flora Lane, having gone through similar situations the most, was comforting Barry with sound advice.
Though everyone understands such advice, the heartache can only be gradually digested over time.
Phoebe King also joined the table, while Audrey Sutton noticed that Phoebe and Flora were getting along quite well, comforting Barry one after the other like performing a duet.
Looking at Barry Barrett’s distress, Audrey Sutton felt as if she’d done something wrong.
But she began to suspect that Nolan Hawke initially approached Barry Barrett with an ulterior motive, and there’s surely a deal between him and Clarissa Morgan.
Audrey Sutton thought perhaps she could try to find leverage on Clarissa Morgan.
To deal with a woman like Clarissa Morgan, there’s no need for emotional morality; she likes playing dirty, so she’ll play along.
Audrey Sutton took out her phone and sent a message: Quinn, can you help me track Clarissa Morgan? I’ll pay according to your industry’s rates, keep a close watch, it would be best to find some material for planning an extramarital affair.
Quinn immediately replied, teasing: Sis, are you planning to switch careers? We’re tailing her to catch a potential extramarital affair or something. Don’t worry, I don’t like her either; I’ll definitely inform you if there’s any inside information.
