Chapter 307: Chapter 307: Showing Off Audrey

When Audrey Sutton just married Shane Warner, she felt anxious.

After all, Shane was merely a prince in her imagination before, where she painted an ideal picture of him in her mind but didn’t really know what he was like in reality.

At the time of marrying him, she felt lucky and excited, but afterward, she started to wonder if she had been too hasty, whether this prince was different from her imagination?

Might there be some peculiar habits? Temperamental issues or even domestic violence?

But now, it seems alright; the prince is indeed different from what she fantasized, but none of the negative behaviors she feared have appeared.

A week later, the temperature began to rise again.

Audrey Sutton donned her little dress, gladly went out with Shane Warner, and took his car to school.

Because of the warming weather, she no longer wore her hair down but tied it up in a high ponytail, making her look even younger.

However, Shane Warner no longer cared as much about the age difference between them; having a young wife is his skill, his pride.

Shouldn’t an old cow have some skills to eat young grass?

Besides, she’s inherently at a youthful age; there’s no need to dress maturely for him, although he likes her in any appearance.

"I’ll bring you lunch at noon, what would you like to eat?" Audrey Sutton asked while pushing the car door open and stepping out.

Shane Warner looked at her and said, "Whatever you make, I’ll eat."

Audrey Sutton smiled, hugged her books, walked down the car, bent over at the car door, waved at Shane Warner: "Bye, hubby."

Shane Warner smiled and nodded: "Pay attention in class, don’t keep texting me during class on your phone."

Audrey Sutton chuckled silently, closed the car door, and walked towards the academic building, turning back every few steps.

Shane Warner parked the car at the spot and didn’t leave until her figure disappeared within the building.

Just after driving a little way down the road, Quentin Sterling waved at him from the roadside.

Shane Warner slowed down and stopped in front of Quentin Sterling, rolling down the window, Quentin greeted him with a smile: "Shane, is it really you? I thought I recognized the car."

Shane Warner nodded: "I was dropping off my wife at school."

Quentin pointed towards a dance studio nearby: "I was dropping off something for Clarissa too; she’s working as a dance teacher here now."

Shane Warner nodded gently, as Clarissa had already told him this at the beginning of the semester.

Quentin stood by the car, passed a cigarette to Shane Warner seeming to want to chat, Shane Warner opened the car door, stepped out, and took the cigarette from Quentin, both stood by the car as Quentin lit Shane Warner’s cigarette with his lighter before lighting his own.

"I was just about to look for you today, didn’t West City build a new golf course? Clarissa mentioned she wanted to go. The weather has improved recently, how about taking Audrey with us this weekend to have some fun?"

Shane Warner thought he happened to be free this weekend and hadn’t taken Audrey to such places yet, sometimes taking her out to enjoy something new would be nice, so he nodded and said: "Sure, the venue belongs to The Suttons; it’s run by Audrey’s third brother and his friend. Taking Audrey might give us some perks."

Quentin laughed loudly: "Shane, do you care about those perks? You’re just showing off Audrey, but The Suttons have always kept a low profile, didn’t realize their business was so widespread."

Shane Warner chuckled, glanced at his watch, and said: "I have a meeting at nine, let’s chat later."

"Alright, you’re busy, touch base later by phone."

In class, Audrey was seated next to Barry Barrett at the back row.

The student in front of them was playing a tower defense game, and neither Audrey nor Barry was paying much attention.

Audrey held her phone, persistently flipping through name lists, noting down names she thought were good in her notebook, including names for both boys and girls, but none seemed perfect yet.

She wanted a name that was not only pleasant but also meaningful.

"Sutton, are you free this weekend?" Barry abruptly asked.

Audrey paused her writing, turned to Barry and asked, "What’s up?"

Barry smiled and said: "I came up with a cosplay set, dual female leads, missing a partner; I was just discussing with Brother Hawke, and he said you’d be suitable. Would you come with me this weekend?"

Audrey paused for a moment; Brother Hawke indeed hadn’t appeared much before her recently, yet recalling that night mattered, she couldn’t ignore what happened.

Although she kept Barry in the dark, she must keep distance from Brother Hawke; moreover, she wasn’t sure if this proposal was truly for shooting or had ulterior motives, Audrey laughed awkwardly and said: "I might not be free this weekend, I have to accompany my Third Young Master."

"Come on, you’re with your Third Young Master all the time, one weekend doesn’t matter, come with me."

"I already made plans with him; he’s a very schedule-oriented person, disrupting his plans would annoy him." Audrey merely fabricated a reason.

Barry pouted: "Then I’ll ask my friends in the circle."

Audrey nodded, thought for a moment and asked: "How are things with your Brother Hawke lately?"

"Same as before; during his birthday he introduced me to his family, I even thought he was going to propose, but nothing happened; probably wants to wait for my graduation."

Audrey worried Brother Hawke might just be leading Barry on, not giving her any commitment, but Barry apparently hadn’t thought in this direction.

If not for Brother Hawke saying those things to her that night, she may well think Brother Hawke was just waiting for Barry to graduate.

Audrey joked: "Feels like he hasn’t been looking for you at school lately, wouldn’t he start liking one of his models?"

Initially expecting Barry to confidently say "no way" or the like, Barry instead sighed and said: "Honestly, I’m also worried about this, so I want to marry him quickly; though being around models is part of his job, they’re all supermodels and big celebrities, over time he might find his girlfriend just ordinary, and if he were to meet someone outstanding in the meantime, I’d probably face a breakup."

"Bear, you can’t think like that; if he truly finds you unsatisfactory, situations you mentioned would happen even post-marriage, so it’s necessary to let your heart settle for a while before getting married; if you’re just afraid of his change of heart and rushing into marriage, such a marriage would be full of anxiety."
