Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Looks Like You Want to Be Hospitalized

The first outfit primarily featured red, with a glamorous and cool makeup style. Audrey Sutton quite liked this look herself.

The setting for the shoot was indoors and had already been set up. Audrey wasn’t very knowledgeable about posing for photos, so Nolan Hawke kept asking her to make adjustments.

After one set of photos, Audrey felt that Nolan was someone who pursued perfection to an extreme degree, even going so far as to have a makeup artist fix a few stray hairs at the temples before retaking the shot.

However, when Audrey looked at the unedited photos, she thought they looked great. A good photographer indeed makes a significant difference.

The second set had a more ambiguous, sensual style. Barry Barrett took two sample shots with Audrey nearby, his robe in disarray, eyes alluring, with a seductive and artistic vibe. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Audrey, come over here and sit next to Bear, slightly angle your body towards me."

Audrey nodded, and following Nolan’s instructions, she sat on the couch draped with veils.

Nolan looked through the camera again, seeming dissatisfied with something, and said to Audrey, "Move a bit closer, you two."

Both Audrey and Barry shifted closer.

Nolan snapped two shots and checked the outcome in the camera, appearing unsatisfied.

He handed the camera to a nearby assistant, then walked up and fiddled with the veils on the bed, tidied Barry’s long scattered hair, and then approached Audrey, lifting the hem of her robe to reveal her fair thighs. Gently holding her ankle, he said, "Move this foot forward a bit."

Audrey complied.

Suddenly, before she could react, she felt a chill on her shoulder.

Nolan had pulled down the robe around her shoulders, revealing a large portion of her back.

Audrey was only wearing a strapless top underneath, and instinctively she clutched the robe’s lapels upon hearing Nolan say, "Hold this pose, with that shy yet slightly panicked look in your eyes."

Audrey: "..."

Nolan manipulated her loose hair at the back, and while tidying it, Audrey felt his hands grazing her back, which made her quite uncomfortable, as he was an unfamiliar male.

Still, considering his pursuit of artistic perfection, and recalling that Nolan had photographed nude female models before, he was likely too accustomed to women’s bodies to even think of taking advantage.

Thus, despite her embarrassment, Audrey obediently let Nolan refine the poses.

But as things progressed, Audrey increasingly felt Nolan’s touches were too frequent, especially his constant adjusting of her clothes, which, though not over-the-top, made her very uneasy.

Later, while changing makeup, Audrey and Barry sat back-to-back at different vanity mirrors.

While getting her makeup done, Audrey suddenly caught Nolan’s odd, smirking gaze in the mirror that gave her chills.

Something felt amiss to her, without being able to pinpoint exactly what.

"Brother Hawke, I really like this hair ornament, can I wear it later?"

Nolan turned and glanced at the ornament in Barry’s hand, then gave a light chuckle and nodded, "Sure, as long as you like it."

Just hearing Nolan’s tone, Audrey felt he was quite accommodating to Barry.

Maybe she was overthinking it.

Nolan surely wasn’t the kind of person with a double facade.

In the afternoon, around five, Shane called to ask where Audrey was.

Upon learning she was still at the photoshoot, he sounded puzzled. What was the girl doing starting early in the morning and shooting all day long?

So he asked for the studio address and went straight over after work.

By the time Shane arrived, Audrey had already changed back into her own clothes and was at the sink washing off her makeup.

Guided by the staff, Shane found Audrey, stood behind her, and asked, "Finished shooting?"

Audrey splashed water on her face, turned to look at him, and said, "Why did you come over so early?"

"Got off work early today."

Shane regarded her hair, still styled in a traditional updo; whatever the change, she still looked beautiful.

Even though she was removing makeup, her face wet and forelocks damply disheveled.

Audrey pulled out some paper towels to wipe her face, saying to Shane, "I’ll just grab my bag, and we can go. I hardly ate lunch—I’m starving."

Though concerned she hadn’t eaten well, Shane playfully chided, "Your own doing."

Audrey pouted, "Wait for me at the door. Bear’s still shooting, I need to tell him I’m leaving."

With that, without waiting for Shane’s response, Audrey dashed off.

After standing by the door for a few minutes, Shane saw her jogging over, clutching her small bag, and asked him, "What should we eat?"

Once she reached him, Shane set off walking, "What do you want to eat?"

"... I’m kind of craving crayfish, it’s been ages since I had any."

Shane: "Sounds like you’re asking for a hospital visit."

Audrey retorted, "Aren’t there pills for that? I’ll take medicine right after eating to avoid allergies."

"You’re this keen on taking meds now?"

Audrey’s tone carried a hint of pleading, "There’s a lobster place near the school that everyone says is delicious. I want to try it."

However, Shane remained unmoved, "No way. There’s a Cantonese restaurant ahead, and it’s pretty good too."

Audrey: "I want something spicy; if not lobster, then hotpot!"

Shane paused briefly and asked, "Is there a place nearby?"

Catching the tone suggesting compromise, Audrey nodded happily, "Not far, just a few minutes away. Let me pull up the walking directions."

As she walked, she pulled out her phone to check the map, while Shane noticed the bus stop sign ahead, deliberately not warning her.

"Thud—"

"Ouch!" Audrey bumped into the bus stop railing, not too painful, but hearing the laughter from others waiting at the stop embarrassed her.

She jogged a few steps to catch up with Shane, raised her hand to smack his back, and complained, "Why didn’t you warn me!"

Shane: "How often have I told you not to play with your phone while walking?"

"I was pulling up directions!"

Shane laughed silently to himself, amused by her earlier collision with the sign.

"Where are the photos you shot? Aren’t you showing me any?"

Audrey replied, "It’s not that quick; they need editing first."

Shane: "True, I’d bet there’s plenty to retouch."
