Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 161: Baby, You’re So Beautiful
The host on stage said, "I believe everyone has seen that this performance conveys a love story worth pondering. So, I would like to ask Miss Morgan and Mr. Sue, what are your views on love?"
Simon Sue made a gentlemanly gesture for Clarissa Morgan to go first, ladies first.
Clarissa Morgan took the microphone and said, "Actually, after getting married, I feel that marriage and love are two different things. When two people are dating, they might care too much about who gives more, might even argue, but after marriage, that doesn’t matter as much."
The host laughed and said, "That might be because Mr. Sterling loves you very much, right?"
Clarissa Morgan also laughed and nodded, "Maybe so. My husband does indulge me a lot. He’s always been supportive of my career, including today’s performance. He’s here in the audience today too."
The camera turned to Quentin Sterling in the audience. He nodded and smiled at the camera in a gentlemanly way. The host then approached him and asked, "Mr. Sterling, is there anything you’d like to say to Miss Morgan?"
Quentin Sterling took the microphone and, with his gaze fixed on Clarissa Morgan on stage, unreservedly praised, "Tonight’s performance was outstanding. Miss Morgan is my pride."
The interaction between the two was filled with happiness, spreading the love to the entire audience.
Audrey Sutton secretly felt it was unfair for Quentin Sterling. It was clear he really loved Clarissa Morgan, his degree of doting on his wife comparable to Shane Warner.
In comparison, Audrey Sutton even thought Quentin Sterling pampered his wife more than Shane.
After all, Quentin Sterling never hesitated to praise his wife, while Shane Warner would only tease her.
"Look at other people’s husbands," Audrey Sutton couldn’t help but complain.
Shane snorted lightly and asked her, "So what are you dissatisfied with about your husband, Miss Sutton?"
Audrey Sutton: "Studies show that when husbands often praise their wives, the wives become increasingly younger and more beautiful, and more confident. With someone like you, I’d definitely turn into an old hag soon."
She quickly corrected herself, "No, I wouldn’t even have the chance to turn into an old hag before you’d annoy me to death."
Shane coldly and expressionlessly said, "Baby, you’re really beautiful."
Audrey Sutton rolled her eyes and mimicked his tone, "Dear, you’re really handsome."
Shane: "Satisfied now?"
Audrey Sutton turned her head and looked at Quentin Sterling, who was still being interviewed, mumbling, "Don’t want to talk to you."
Shane reached out and pinched her chin, making her turn her head back, "Let me see if you’re getting younger."
Audrey Sutton replied moodily, "If I get any younger, I’d have to call you grandpa."
Shane immediately wiped the smile off his face and pushed her head away with one hand, as if she was dirty, even wiping his hand on the jacket she was holding.
Audrey Sutton couldn’t understand how a man close to thirty could be so childish.
But now she seemed to have found his weak spot; just mention him getting old, and she’d win every time.
With Clarissa Morgan and Quentin Sterling’s display of affection over, the topic shifted to Simon Sue. The host jokingly asked, "Mr. Sue, you don’t have a girlfriend yet, right?"
Before Simon Sue could answer, a group of female fans in the audience screamed and shouted, "It’s me! It’s me!"
Simon Sue looked indulgently at the fans and said into the microphone, "Right now, academics come first, and I’m not considering relationships for the time being."
The fans in the audience began to interact again, "I’ll wait for you!"
Shane couldn’t understand these fangirls’ mentality. He was glad that Audrey Sutton wasn’t like this. Little did he know, when he turned his head, he saw Audrey Sutton aiming her phone at the stage, taking pictures.
He leaned over to take a look at the screen on her phone, and it was zoomed in, with Simon Sue in the center of the frame.
"Does it look good?" he asked coolly in her ear, maintaining his posture of looking at her phone screen.
Audrey Sutton continued holding her phone, saying to him, "Don’t talk yet, I’m recording a video."
"Alright."
His "alright" wasn’t an agreement, but more like a warning, "Audrey Sutton, you can, daring huh?"
Audrey Sutton caught the undertone, thinking she had also dubbed over their video. She stopped filming and explained to Shane, "Bear is his fan, she asked me to record a video. She wants to see."
Shane: "Record yourself."
Audrey Sutton wasn’t sure if he was being sarcastic, but she couldn’t break her promise to Barry Barrett. So she quickly adjusted the video and pointed it at Simon Sue on the stage again.
Just then, the host asked, "What are Mr. Sue’s expectations for your future significant other? What kind of girl do you hope for?"
Audrey Sutton wasn’t watching the stage but kept her gaze on her phone screen.
She suddenly felt like Simon Sue seemed to look in her direction, so she quickly lifted her head to confirm, and the moment their eyes met, she was startled.
She was in the front row, not too far away. So even though the eye contact was brief, she was sure that Simon Sue did glance at her earlier.
And then she heard Simon Sue say into the microphone, "I hope she’s not too tall or short, appears slim but has a chubby face that feels nice to pinch, occasionally acts silly, likes to pretend she’s clever, and sometimes, like a little cat whose fur is all fluffed up, she scratches at me fiercely."
Hearing his description, everyone felt he wasn’t stating preference criteria, but rather announcing a relationship?
This description was so specific, it was obvious there was someone like that in his life.
The fans in the audience whispered and looked around, even the host was briefly stunned before responding, "So it seems Mr. Sue likes cute girls?"
Simon Sue’s answer was even more confusing: "She was probably very cute as a child, as for now, not sure."
The host didn’t know how to respond, awkwardly laughed, "Haha, kids are always chubby cute. So, does Mr. Sue have any new direction in the upcoming period? Will you continue making movies?"
Realizing further questions about this wouldn’t go anywhere, the host quickly shifted the topic.
Audrey Sutton finished recording the video Barry Barrett was interested in, stopped filming, and while sending it to Barry, she heard Shane ask, "Did you know him before?"
"Who?" Audrey Sutton sent the video, then looked up and understood who Shane was referring to from his gaze on Simon Sue.
She replied, "No, why would I know him?"
After a moment of silence, she asked Shane, "Why do you ask?"
Shane didn’t answer, he just felt that the girl Simon Sue described seemed very much like the one sitting beside him.
And he had also noticed the look Simon Sue gave before answering.
Audrey Sutton had always felt Simon Sue was odd; the look he gave earlier baffled her as well. Combined with Shane’s question earlier, she felt even more confused. But she and Simon Sue were indeed unrelated, so hopefully Shane isn’t misunderstanding anything?
Could this be the stunt of Clarissa Morgan and Simon Sue? Has it begun?
