Pei Qing didn't think that pulling Zhao Lifei would cause her to be injured to an extent where she cries out in pain.

Seeing that both women were injured and stained, the servants who were watching were slightly hesitant on who to feel sympathy for. In the end, they pitied Pei Qing more because even if she wasn't likable, she was someone familiar to them.

Zhao Lifei, on the other hand, was just another rich woman. The servants thought little of her since it was inevitable to see affluent people when you work for a rich household. So what if she has money?

Besides, she seemed like every other heiress whose wealth came from her parents. They doubted she would ever have the brain or capabilities to earn her own money unlike them who has to work hard for a living.

'Hmph! She deserves the stain on her dress.'

'Rich people like her needs to be a taught a lesson to not disrespect us, commoners!'

'I hope her knees were permanently broken!'

With Pei Qing's instigation, the inexperienced servants that were still on the scene had completely forgotten who they worked for and what they were supposed to do. Working in Yang Feng's house, most of them had imagined how nice it would be if they were the ones who actually lived there. They had let the seed of envy in their hearts grow and because of this animosity, everyone decided to side with Pei Qing over their master's esteemed guest.

"Pei Qing, are you alright? Does your ankle hurt?" A woman stepped forward, worriedly offering her hand to help her up.

In order to gain more sympathy from the observers, Pei Qing held onto the woman's hand as she tried to stand, but then let out another cry of agony.

"I'm sorry, Susu, it really hurts!" Pei Qing sniffled, her eyes becoming watery. The experienced servants who witnessed the scene had rushed to report to Yang Feng while the recently hired ones all crowded around Pei Qing, completely ignoring Zhao Lifei.

The sound of approaching footsteps got louder and louder. One glance at Zhao Lifei was enough to cast a stormy cloud above his head. He had looked at her so much recently that even if she tried hiding her grimace, just the way she bit her bottom lip had already revealed to him that she was hurt somewhere.

Zhao Lifei watched as Yang Feng walked towards them. He was as dazzling as ever. With the natural bright rays of the morning sky shining upon him, adding an ethereal glow to him, words couldn't describe how handsome he was.

Midnight-black hair swept back, glowering eyes sending toe-curling chills down a person's spine, and dressed in a clean-cut suit, he walked with the aura and confidence of an Emperor. One hand tucked into his front pocket, his strut would put supermodels into shame.

"What is going on here?" His tone was murderous. It nearly sends the people onto their knees in fear.

Everyone turned around to see Yang Feng dressed immaculately as always. His white pocket square seemed to purposefully match Zhao Lifei's white dress.

At the sight of their boss, all of the servants stepped into the side with their head bowed. "Greetings to Master Feng."

He didn't even spare them a glance. Instead, his eyes narrowed at the messy scene before him.

"M-Master Feng..." Pei Qing's voice was sweet and alluring, everyone was sure it would evoke sympathy from Yang Feng.

"I was knocked to the ground by that woman...She broke the heirloom that my grandmother passed down to me." When she saw how Yang Feng looked at her, she realized that he didn't look at her with pity.

She attempted to stand up with tears streaming down her cheeks and her lips shook from discomfort.

"I-I'm sorry for my incompetence and not being able to stand up to properly greet you." Pei Qing tried to make herself seem even more innocent. When Yang Feng walked to her direction, her heart soared with happiness.

He was just a few steps away when she began to celebrate in her head. It seemed all of her advances on him finally paid off!

Her delusions were shattered when he walked right past her and headed straight towards Zhao Lifei. He completely disregarded Pei Qing.

"Are you alright?" His voice still had a dark edge to it when he spoke to Zhao Lifei. She hesitated when she saw how frustrated he looked.

When she thought about it, he seemed ready to murder someone for something that was not that much of a big deal in the greater scheme of things… It was a simple dispute between a guest in his home and an incompetent maid. But she was surprised he even cared that much about her. She thought he was putting up a front to look good.

Deciding it was time to turn the tables on Pei Qing and show the servants who truly was the master of schemes, Zhao Lifei set her plan into action.

"I'm fine." She purposely looked away from him.

She knew the sudden reluctance to speak or look at anyone would infuriate Yang Feng. They had similar characteristics after all. She recognized the risk she was taking by playing with his emotions. There was a chance he was already tired of her constant push-and-pull behavior and not give her any face this time around.

But his next move reassured her and eliminated any remaining hesitation. He bent down and gently turned her chin so that she was facing him.

Yang Feng saw a familiar glint in her eyes but brushed any assumptions aside. Instead, he wondered whether the way he spoke or acted towards her just now had upset her more.

But he couldn't help himself. When he saw her on the floor looking like a fallen angel, he felt a tremor of fury shake his core. To him, she was too precious to receive even the slightest rough treatment. For it to happen under his own roof was simply unforgivable.

He decided to direct his trusted butler towards the inadequate workers who were stupid enough to ignore her and opted to help someone absolutely useless to him.

His attention shifted when he felt movement on his fingers. Zhao Lifei had looked away again. When he saw her face filled with guilt and pain, his heart hurt for her.

She looked apologetic for causing such a big scene but he couldn't care less if she was even the one who started the issue. She can mess with everyone under his employment if she wants to. As long as she didn't hate him or push him away, he would gladly cover everything up for her.
