Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Please Save My Little Brother

Daniel hadn’t told her anything back at the airport.

"We’re friends and good partners. I changed your return date so I could surprise her."

To make her trust him, he took out his phone and showed her a photo of him and Chantelle. It was taken without her knowing, but she was smiling at him.

"Uncle, please save my little brother..." she said quickly. She believed him now and didn’t hesitate to ask for help.

"What happened?" Daniel asked as he followed the direction Stephanie pointed.

Through tears, Stephanie told him everything.

After dinner, she and Kane went to look for him. But just as she was about to walk ahead, she suddenly heard Kane scream, "Steph, run!"

She turned around and saw a man grabbing Kane. Then another man started chasing her.

Stephanie panicked and ran as fast as she could. Luckily, she escaped using the invisibility cloak.

"Please save Kane. I promise I’ll perform for free for your company next time." Stephanie cried as she wiped her tears. She held tightly onto Daniel’s collar.

Daniel picked up his pace right away. At the same time, Ashton told his men to check the restaurant’s security cameras. They had to find out who took Kane.

"Tell me what the man looked like. As many details as you can," Daniel said.

"He’s tall and skinny. He has big eyes, a sharp face, and long hair..."

"Mr. Wilson, that sounds like Lone Wolf," Ashton said worriedly.

"Take her to Chantelle," Daniel ordered. "But don’t mention Kane yet. Keep an eye on them."

"Yes, sir!" Ashton responded, then quickly picked up Stephanie and ran in the opposite direction.

Outside the restaurant, Rowan was pacing nervously. He stopped Ashton and showed him a photo of Camille on his phone. "Have you seen this woman?"

Ashton glanced inside and asked, "Where is Ms. Chantelle?" He didn’t see her anywhere.

"You know Chantelle? She’s gone. My sister’s missing too. I think something was wrong with the wine they drank."

"What?" Ashton’s expression turned serious. "When did Ms. Chantelle disappear? Where did you last see her?"

"I saw her near the entrance about ten minutes ago," Rowan said. He had already told his men to start searching the area.

"If you hurt Mommy, I won’t let you go!" Stephanie suddenly shouted. Though she was resting on Ashton’s shoulder, she glared at him with fierce eyes.

It was only then that Rowan noticed her. The moment he saw her face, he was stunned and speechless.

Chantelle is her mother? No wonder they look alike!

Rowan felt a rush of excitement. He even thought about calling his grandpa and telling him to come to Easthan right away.

But he quickly snapped out of it. Right now, finding Camille and Chantelle was the most important thing.

"Check all the surveillance cameras in the restaurant and the club. We have to find Ms. Nelsen no matter what!"

"Yes, sir!"

Ashton held Stephanie tightly. With both Chantelle and Kane missing, he couldn’t let anything happen to her.

Just then, Daniel checked the tracker. Kane was still somewhere inside the hotel.

"Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson is missing," Ashton said in a low, nervous voice.

Daniel stopped in his tracks. "What? What did you just say?"

A cold shiver ran down his spine.

"Rowan said something was wrong with the wine, and it looks like both Mrs. Wilson and Ms. Nelsen are missing," Ashton said in a small voice, afraid of making Daniel angry.

"He’s lying," Stephanie said suddenly.

Daniel picked her up and looked into her eyes. "How do you know? Why do you say that?"

"I just know he’s lying," she replied.

Stephanie had always been sharp. She was good at reading people’s faces, thanks to her acting lessons. One look was all it took for her to tell if someone was lying.

"Bring Rowan here," Daniel ordered. "I want to know where Chantelle is!"

With Stephanie in his arms, Daniel headed toward Kane’s location.

Ashton took a few men to search for Rowan, but they couldn’t take him down. Rowan’s men were too strong. Most of their people were already looking for Kane, so only a few were sent to deal with Rowan.

The surveillance footage showed Chantelle leaving the restaurant alone. She looked like she saw something and rushed toward the elevator. Rowan followed right after her. But the footage was cut off. Someone had clearly deleted the rest.

Rowan had definitely lied.

"Mr. Wilson," one of the bodyguards reported, "Ruby said she doesn’t know who the mastermind is. But she gave all the confidential information to Joseph. He saved her after she fell off the cliff. In return, Ruby promised to bring you here tonight. Joseph also said he would introduce her to Brian Stewart."

"Mr. Wilson, it’s not safe here. You should go. We’ll find Kane and Mrs. Wilson," Ashton offered.

He knew Daniel wouldn’t leave, but he still tried to convince him. Joseph had tried to kill Daniel more than once. It was obvious this night was a trap.

"I’m not leaving without Kane and Chantelle," Daniel said firmly, clenching his fists.

Just then, a loud explosion shook the air.

Fireworks lit up the sky. They were bright and beautiful.

"I want Mommy. I want Mommy and Kane!" Stephanie cried. She wiped her tears and looked up at Daniel.

At that moment, she seemed to realize he was the man who hurt her mother six years ago.

Right now, Daniel was the only one who could save Chantelle. But Stephanie made a silent promise to herself that if he failed to bring her Mommy back, she would never forgive him.

"Don’t worry. Daddy won’t let anything happen to Mommy and Kane," Daniel said, trying to comfort his daughter. Then he marched forward with his men.

"Ashton, get a helicopter ready on the rooftop."

"Yes, sir."

"Lock all exits. No one is allowed to leave."

"Yes, sir."

"Take Stephanie to Philip now."

"No! I’m not leaving. I want to find Mommy. I set up GPS with Mommy and Kane. I can track them down!" Stephanie quickly refused to leave.

Daniel stopped in his tracks when he heard her. He gave up the idea of sending Stephanie home.

Just then, another loud explosion shook the air.

Moments later, flames broke out. The entire building was on fire.
