Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar-Chapter 62: Give Her Hand to Him (Part 1)
Resistance blocked his path, leaving him momentarily shocked and stunned. But looking at the woman beneath him, he simply pressed on through her screams.
"Quentin Grant, where the hell is your sense of decency?"
He smiled faintly. "You ate it."
Nora Ainsworth was speechless, though her expression had softened somewhat. "Sharon Ainsworth is so beautiful, and the Ainsworth Family is wealthy. Your engagement was arranged a long time ago. Won’t you be losing out if you don’t marry her?"
He snorted. "There are thousands, tens of thousands of fine women in Alveria. Am I supposed to marry every single one of them? What is there to lose? I don’t need a woman to prop up my career."
Nora Ainsworth wasn’t surprised in the least to hear such cocky words come from his mouth.
"Don’t come looking for me at school anymore. It doesn’t look good."
He scoffed. "Did you really think I came to the school just to see you? I was just passing by. Don’t flatter yourself."
Nora Ainsworth’s face burned with embarrassment. "Even if you’re just ’passing by,’ don’t do it so often."
"Nora Ainsworth, Herman’s private taekwondo dojo needs people. Interested?"
She froze, immediately understanding his implication. "Is that possible?"
’If I had a chance like this,’ she thought, ’I wouldn’t refuse it.’
"But you’ll have to drop out of school immediately. And there are benefits. You can leave once every three days, but only to come to my place. You have to get approval to go anywhere else."
Nora Ainsworth knew he was up to no good. "In that case, can I just not come out? Am I allowed to turn down such a great benefit?" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Sure enough, his expression darkened. "Of course not."
Nora Ainsworth immediately asked, "Any other benefits?"
He raised an eyebrow. "There are. Herman will test you himself. If he says you’ve passed, you can be transferred directly to my side. You’ll be the only one I keep close."
Those words confirmed it. He didn’t just want Nora Ainsworth to be his on-call subordinate; he wanted her to belong to him completely.
Nora Ainsworth considered her options carefully, then decisively refused. "If it weren’t for those ’benefits,’ I’d be more than happy to go. But right now, to me, being by your side is no different from marrying you. So, I refuse."
His long, cool fingers gripped her chin. "I adore this personality of yours. The more you refuse, the more I want to make you agree. Only then will I be satisfied."
"That mindset of yours has gone extinct all over the world," she retorted.
Quentin Grant’s fingers tightened slightly. "Nora Ainsworth, you should pray. Pray for the day I get tired of you."
"You don’t have to remind me. I pray for that every single second."
Soon, the sound of footsteps and her roommates’ voices echoed from the hallway.
Nora Ainsworth stiffened, scared half to death. "They’re back! Get out of my dorm room, now!"
Quentin Grant, however, was completely unconcerned, remaining calm and composed under Nora Ainsworth’s anxious gaze.
"It’s too late now. And so what if they’re back? What is there to be afraid of? Besides, you’ve been so disobedient—" His smile became even more suggestive.
Nora Ainsworth glared at him through gritted teeth. "Do your balls ache if you go one day without threatening people?!"
"This one trick works every time, which is more than enough for me. The rest is up to you."
The footsteps drew nearer. Seeing the smug, triumphant look on his face, she finally chose to give in.
"I’ll do what you say! I’ll go, alright?!"
"Hmph." He let out a muffled grunt, then pulled out of her and lay still on the inner side of the bed.
At that moment, the door to the dorm room swung open.
"Ugh, I’m aching all over. I just got my period, I need to lie down," one of her roommates complained.
"You go ahead and rest, then. I’m about to head out and meet my boyfriend."
The first girl waved her hand dismissively. "Go on, then."
The second roommate grabbed her things and left. At that moment, the first one took off her shoes and climbed into her bunk.
Nora Ainsworth held her breath, staring at the face inches from her own. ’Getting angry is useless.’
Realizing it would be even harder for him to leave once everyone was back, Nora Ainsworth simply pulled out her own hat and put it on Quentin Grant, then wrapped a scarf around his face. Surprisingly, he didn’t object.
They climbed down one after the other. Fortunately, the roommate on her period had her back to them.
As they walked across campus, snowflakes continued to fall. Nora Ainsworth’s legs felt weak, aching unbearably after her ordeal with a certain someone. Her heart was incredibly heavy. "Can we take back what I said earlier?"
Quentin Grant turned his head and stopped in his tracks. "Sure. Then let’s go back."
Nora Ainsworth shoved her hands into the pockets of her down jacket and said dejectedly, "I’m miserable. I really don’t see what I gain from doing this. Besides... I gave you my first time, and you still bully me like this. You’re not even human."
