Mr.CEO Looks Exactly the Same as My Son!-Chapter 706: Haven’t Seen You for a Few Days, What Happened?
What a coincidence, Ye Xinluo happened to stop the daughter-in-law of the woman who took Qin Yin to the hospital. She looked at her and spoke cautiously, "What’s your relationship with Qin Yin?"
"I’m her colleague. She didn’t come to work today, and no one answered her phone, so I thought I’d come over to see if something happened. I don’t know which floor she lives on."
After giving Ye Xinluo a once-over and seeing that she didn’t seem like a bad person—and since she was worried about Qin Yin being alone in the hospital—she said, "Follow me!"
Upon hearing this, Ye Xinluo smiled, "Thank you."
The three of them followed her into the building, and when the elevator reached the 10th floor, she opened her own apartment door first, but didn’t go in. She took a bunch of keys from the shoe cabinet and handed them to Ye Xinluo, "These are Qin Yin’s keys. You can check for yourselves."
Although curious about why she had Qin Yin’s keys, Ye Xinluo didn’t ask further and let her lead them to an apartment door, then used the keys to open the door.
They thought they would find Qin Yin at home, but instead saw a huge mess everywhere.
"Oh my, was this a burglary? Are we sure this is Qin Yin’s place? Are we at the wrong address?" Mo Han stepped forward, speaking in disbelief.
"This is Qin Yin’s place. You said you couldn’t reach her phone; it’s probably there in that bag." She pointed to a bag on the shoe cabinet and looked inside, finding the cell phone inside, which had turned off because its battery was dead.
"The night before last, a man came to Qin Yin’s apartment. Since he had keys, as neighbors, we didn’t think much of it. But after he went in, there were loud noises. Later, when Qin Yin came back, there were sounds of a scuffle coming from inside."
"My mother-in-law was worried, so she and my husband went over to check. They saw the man storming out angrily, and Qin Yin was holding her stomach, fainting by the side of the sofa."
"What did you say?" Staring at her in disbelief, "You said she fainted? Where is she now?"
"At a nearby hospital. I’m not sure which ward, but since you’re her colleagues, you could go see her."
...
The three of them arrived at the nearby hospital, found out which ward Qin Yin was in, and headed to the inpatient department.
As they opened the door to the ward, they saw a boy of about ten lying on one bed, his leg appearing to be broken. As for the bed next to him, they couldn’t see because a curtain was drawn around it.
Walking into the room, they approached the other bed and saw Qin Yin lying on it, asleep and looking extremely pale...
Coming to the bedside, they set down what they were holding and gently pushed her arm.
With light sleep, she quickly woke up and thought she might be seeing things, "President, Assistant Mo, and Xinluo, why are you all here?"
She was about to sit up but was quickly stopped by Ye Xinluo, "What happened to you? How did you end up like this after not seeing you for two days?"
"It’s nothing." She forced a stiff smile and continued, "What are you doing here?"
Mo Han: "Xinluo noticed you didn’t come to work today and was worried, so after work, we went to your place. We heard from your neighbor that you were hospitalized, so we came over."
"Your neighbor said you were found holding your stomach. Can I take a look? We’re all girls here, it should be fine, right?" Ye Xinluo asked tentatively.
After a while, Qin Yin nodded slightly.
